by its2possible Awesome-ish To Play
This game is a must have game. Its fun to play and way better fun to play with co-op. The graphics are awesome, the sound is excellent and the appeal of the game will want you to keep playing to the very end and do all the side missions. However, there have been few times the game has been unkind. Like how 3 missions screwed me over on my items. Items have a 3-5 repair limit. Invisible walls where there shouldn't be. Jumping and miss ledges when you shouldn't and the map not helping you where to go at certain spots. All in all though Dying Light is fun to play and I advise you play with friends for better experience.

by Hugh missing "MY" favorite factor ....
just like far cry dead island etc. this game in my opinion needs a 3rd person setting ! the companies are so busy trying to compete with each other now with the mighty ((( PS4 ))) being out that games are like taking forever to produce and release ... ANYWAY I sure would like a 3rd person setting , because by he looks of it they covered everything else pretty well !
they may as well name this game "kiss my butt and call it a love story" because that's about as close as it will get to my console ...

by skateinferno A great game overall
One of this game's mainly pointed out features before release was the day to night cycle, and the drastic changes the world would undergo after the sun went down. However I found that these transformations were not nearly as scary or drastic as some would have you believe. In fact, all you really have to do to avoid the tougher zombies that hunt you at night, is stay on the rooftops, or find a building that you can enter and shut the door behind you, as from my experience with playing the game, they can't open doors. The graphics also aren't as good as pre-release hype had me believing. There are also, as stated multiple times in Angry Joe's review of the game, many cliches. However, the tropes and cliches didn't bother me all that much since I was too distracted by how fun gameplay can be. There is a large amount of upgrades available that are extremely accessible, however, not too accessible as to make the game too easy. But if you spend your time wisely, you can pretty much kill the strongest enemies just as easily as the weakest ones about half or three quarters of the way through the game. The great part is that even though the story may be lacking excitement and inspiration or originality at any level, the extremely fun gameplay can hold up the game. If the parkour and combat, as well as weapon selections, weapon mods, and side missions weren't as well done and entertaining, this game would barely be worth one's time. Another con is the ending, in which you speak to a character after retrieving research you have just learned, through interaction with the aforementioned character, can bring a major breakthrough in curing the virus that caused the outbreak. You then tell him that you will talk about it next time you see him. This makes no sense considering the game just ends there. You'd think bringing him the research would be the first thing to do right then considering he's also in the quarantine zone, but the developers just leave you to spend the rest of your time running around killing things with the research that can save the area casually sitting in your back pocket I may be mistaken however, since I have not been to see that character since the end of the game. There could possibly be some sort of hidden dialogue that further brings the story to a resolution or a more sensible conclusion or aftermath. In conclusion This wasn't exactly the most well thought out or original new releases, but it is definitely worth one's time.

by MaxCool858 Going to be amazing!
Ok, first of all, many people dislike this beacuse it's like dead island. I don't know about you, but i had a ton loads of fun with friends in dead island and fighting off the undead. AND now, parkour with zombies!! AMAZING!! Mirrors edge was a favorite of mine, because no other game moved as smoothly. Now, combine my two favorite things, zombies and parkour= Dying Light. It's going to be a huge success, can't wait for it!
Rated 1 out of 10 by Dan27 Causes motion sickness
Don't buy this game, no point in taking a risk. I was excited about it, the concept looks good. I bought it and could only play 20 minutes before i was so motion sick I had to stop. I wasn't even doing the acrobatics portion of the game. Just slow basic movement around the tower causes motion sickness. I have never had an issue with other 1st person or 3rd person games. I play all the elder scrolls games like skryim for hours on end with no issue. If you buy the game and have the same issues you are stuck. Of course retailers won't return opened games and a like exchange will not help. So I go to techland support and they don't stand behind their product. If you have an issue its your problem try not to get sick they won't take it back. I can understand that games in general may cause some people issues, but I would expect the company selling the product to issue refunds for people effected and Techland will not. They seem to have the screw the user policy. Buy at your own risk.
Rated 6 out of 10 by DocHolliday666 Not what I thought it was going to be
I'm going to start off saying that the idea of this game had potential. The story seemed like a great concept of trying to bring a different type of zombie game to gamers which was different from the Dead Island games. I thought the idea of being able to use the whole environment to get away from the hordes of the undead was a good idea. Then I started to play the game.
I don't know what more I can say about it other than the graphics are pretty good and there's a decent story to the game. However, the controls are just awful and seem to lag just a little bit when you sit there and press the buttons. I was really looking forward to this game and I was really let down. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it and I will be returning it for a refund.
I really wouldn't recommend this to a lot of people just based on the price. In my opinion this game really isn't worth the $60 it would be for full price. If you are really interested in playing it then wait for a price drop or borrow it from someone.

So far, I'm really enjoying this game. It's easy to waste hours scavenging the different locations for supplies and loot. There are a lot of side missions with varying difficulty levels which makes it that much more enjoyable. The day/night cycles add a cool element to the game play also - racing against the clock to get to a safe zone before nightfall can get the adrenaline pumping. The sound engineering was done well - I have this running through a 5.1 channel surround system and frequently find myself turning around because I hear a noise behind me. The number of zombies on screen at any given time doesn't even seem to challenge the hardware, however for a next-get system, I expected a more significant improvement graphically - I believe a lot of the sample videos are from the PC version which is much more impressive than the console versions. Overall, if you enjoyed the Dead Island games, this is one I would recommend. Lots of blood; lots of gore; lots of fun.

I thought going into this game that its just like dead island. I was wrong. The gameplay is similar to dead island but is so much smoother and much more fun. Plus the story is actually good compared to Dead island. And all the hoards of zombies and sounds makes me feel like im in Atlanta In Season 1 of The Walking Dead. The parkour is smooth for the most part and very fun. Combat is great but only with about 2 to 3 zombies at a time. Anymore you are in trouble. And oh my goodness...... the night time is done soooooooooo well. It makes me not want to go out and dread going out like some characters. I play with the flashlight off too at night until I hear something I don't like or looking for parkour points. My play style is more avoiding the zombies but when I do get into combat its so fun and worth your time. And theres actually a goof amount of stuff to do in Harran. Overall its a very good game and you can tell that they polished it before releasing it, which last year most games failed at. Cough Unity Cough.
Rated 9 out of 10 by ShadowArcanist Top-Tier Zombie Survival Madness!!
I haven't stopped playing since release. Easily 40 hours in and only half way through. Best first-person melee I've played. 101 ways to kill a zombie, but first you must train and build your abilities. Combat is NOT hack n slash. Tactics, style, so many choices once you start becoming a master zombie killer. This is not like the other zombie games BTW so don't expect it to be. It's more like Far Cry with zombies. Parkour movement is also break through once you learn the mechanics and how to keep the momentum. I tell you now if you like to creep ninja style in survival mode with mechanics you must build and learn in a challenging, unforgiving setting this may be the adventure you've been waiting for. The only thing I can say I don't like is the layer of cheese which is the NPC population. This game needed to be keep adult and dark. The comic relief adds cheese that I choose to ignore while being emerged in the combat and survival aspects. Now if you excuse me I must get back to decapping zombies with my new katana.
Rated 8 out of 10 by CitizenKayne Zombies aren't Dead yet....sort of
I understand the zombie genre has been pretty heavily exploited, however, this game plays the zombie angle while succesfully managing a great crafting system, character interactions, awesome parkour, and great combat. PROS: 1.Combat is fun and exciting. If you liked Skyrim Melee, you will love this 2. Parkour is clumsy and difficult at first by design, but eventually evolves into a great system I hope other games will look to as an example. 3. crafting system is good not great, but the weapons you get to use are pretty dang fun. 4. Side missions are awesome. I have spend hours off the main storyline (which is whatever) going off and doing quests that usually have interesting story arks reminiscent of the side missions in Skyrim CONS. 1. Voice acting is hit or miss. Some cringe worth dialogue are sprinkled throughout. 2. Story is "eh". 3. So far, dlc has been lame. Verdict: Buy this game, but wait for used. I would say 49.99 is a great value.
