Product Details:

Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression - but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

Features:

  • WELCOME TO THE QUARANTINE - Experience an original and intense story set in an infected city cut off from the outside world. Only the fittest have any hope of survival.
  • VAST OPEN WORLD - Dying Light lets you traverse an extensive world plunged into chaos and destruction. In this diverse environment, you fight for survival against many kinds of enemies since the infected are not the only threat: facing down other desperate humans is often the only way to get precious supplies.
  • NIGHT CHANGES THE RULES - In daylight you explore the city searching for supplies and weapons. After nightfall, though, this infected world undergoes a dramatic transformation that gives the gameplay a new dimension. You, a hunter by day, become prey. The infected grow in strength, but something even more sinister looms in the darkness to begin its hunt.
  • PARKOUR-STYLE MOVEMENT - Whether you hunt or escape the hunters, you can move around the city with ease and speed. Jump between rooftops, climb walls, and attack your foes from above. Dying Light gives players a freedom of movement never seen in open world games before.
  • BRUTAL, VISCERAL COMBAT - Fight face to face using a diverse selection of melee weapons: knives, bats, axes, or more unusual tools of destruction. Strike down your enemies, cut off their limbs, save your own life!
  • FIREARMS - Powerful but noisy. Use pistols, shotguns, and rifles to gain an advantage over enemies, but remember that gunfire can and will attract unwanted attention.
  • CRAFT YOUR WEAPONS - Dying Light features RPG elements that let you develop the protagonist and adjust him to your play style. It's a long and difficult journey from rookie to badass.
  • CHOOSE YOUR PLAY STYLE - Make use of weapons, your surroundings, and traps set by other survivors. Provoke groups of enemies to attack each other. Complete objectives by day or at night. Take advantage of darkness, fog, and storm to remain unseen. Turn the odds in your favor with offensive and defensive gadgets. It's always your call!
  • HOURS OF GAMEPLAY - Discover a thrilling story, complete more than a hundred side-quests, and put your skills to the test in special challenges.
  • CO-OP MODE FOR 4 PLAYERS - Cooperate with other players in the extreme conditions of a zombie apocalypse. Show your individuality and customize your character.
  • ASYMMETRIC MULTIPLAYER - Survivors, beware! Every time the night falls on Harran, your game can be invaded by the Night Hunter, a human-controlled, extremely powerful enemy. Join forces with other players to repel the invasion or go one-on-one with the city's worst nightmare.
  • BREATHTAKING VISUALS AND REALISM - Dying Light is the first game based on the Chrome Engine 6 - the latest revolutionary incarnation of Techland's proprietary technology. Built from the ground up with next-generation consoles and advanced DirectX 11 graphics in mind, it delivers a new level of visual quality, special effects, and dynamic weather conditions, maintaining unparalleled efficiency at the same time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great I bought this game thinking it would be crazy good. It was not. Not horrible but not great. There was too many mission that didn't make to much sense to me. Really hard to. The weapons that you could get weren't great either. They were really kinda weak. A pipe only can get you so far. So when you get a horde of zombies after you it won't help you. Do not a good game for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dying Light=Best Zombie Game Ever This game does great combining parkour with action to make any type of gamer have fun. This game is great with freedom, letting you roam around the diverse and unique environment of Harran, and giving you different story missions to complete, each of which has it's own layout where you do different things. All in all, this game is entertaining for anyone and everyone, I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good game but a touch repetitive. Overall I love this game. The gameplay is fun, intuitive and creative. The story is intense and enveloping. However, after about 40 hours in and just over halfway through the game it's getting boring and repetitive. The story is still fun but you've got to do side quests to level up to do the story. Essentially you're running over roof-tops, killing zombies and picking up stuff for someone else. There is very little to change that up. I've shelved the game and will probably finish it in a few months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Biggest surprise of the year so far I didn't expect much from dying light, which might explain why I like it so much. When I first played this back in January I was blown away by 3 things, the rpg mechanics(sure it's not an rpg but it does have skill trees, leveling, equipment, etc.), the visuals(particularly lighting and textures), and the sound track. I really didn't expect dying light to have such a cool 80's(kinda) electronic sounding soundtrack. Only real negatives being that there is no way to raise the difficulty setting or a new game plus feature. So odds are you only get one playthrough out of this, but the campaign is a good length and theres lots of side missions so you aren't exactly lacking things to do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boring This game was entertaining for about the first week but after that time it just became dry and boring. The levels seem to repeat themselves over and over and I would not recommend this to any friends.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome-ish To Play This game is a must have game. Its fun to play and way better fun to play with co-op. The graphics are awesome, the sound is excellent and the appeal of the game will want you to keep playing to the very end and do all the side missions. However, there have been few times the game has been unkind. Like how 3 missions screwed me over on my items. Items have a 3-5 repair limit. Invisible walls where there shouldn't be. Jumping and miss ledges when you shouldn't and the map not helping you where to go at certain spots. All in all though Dying Light is fun to play and I advise you play with friends for better experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't believe I waited so long to pick this up Since I got this game I have not been able to put it down! The graphics are stunning and gameplay is very engaging. Only been playing for a few days now, but I am dying for the expansion to be released. Definitely worth the cash! Techland did a great job on this project.
