post beta impresion
I preordered it a few months ago and was really exited to play it. I got to play the beta this past weekend and I'm defiantly getting it. Its an open town where you can meet other players, challenge others to 1v1 2v2 or 3v3 battles. Winning gets you Zeni you can use to buy items and costumes to customize. You can also learn moves by becoming a pupil of your fav. character. There was even an offline mode if you just wanted to explore on you own. The battle mode was fun. Sometimes you would defeat some opponents and then open a portal to another arena for another battle The beta only let you create a human male/female or namik but the final version gives you more race chooses (sayian, majin, human, namik and possibly more still no word on others) I've been a long time dbz fan and I have to say I'm satisfied so far. Better than battle of z and different/better than UT's custom character mode.
Giving It a Chance
Personally, I have been a Dragon Ball fan my whole life and own 90% of the games that came out for it. As someone else stated earlier, the really good games were on the PS2 and all of the games that came on the Xbox 360 or PS3 were terrible. I returned all of the games I bought because of how disappointed I was. However, I tried the beta for this game when it was released. It was not like Battle of Z or Ultimate Tenkaichi. The game was immersing and I was only disappointed when the beta time ran out. The game features an amazingly massive online component (from what I've seen so far) and is similar to Grand Theft Auto in a sense. You can complete missions with friends and earn rewards, fight 1v1, or play multi-person battles (not sure how many people). You can even have one of the original characters be your mentor online! Customizable characters and multiple races to chose from are just some of the great things this game had to offer. All in all, I am personally sold and anyone who is a fan of Dragon Ball should definitely consider buying this one above all others
High hopes for this one!
In my opinion, the last Dragon Ball videogame title to be worth purchasing was Budokai Tenkaichi 3, back in the PS2 era. Every installment on the PS3/360 generation was disappointing. However, with the capabilities of the Playstation 4 and X-Box One, I believe this game has virtually unlimited potential, and I can not wait for more information on this game! The screenshots look fantastic, but unfortunately that is all I have to go on at this point. Looking forward to learning more about this one!
I really hope we will be able to customize our hero. I think its a pretty cool step. I was getting pretty tired of playing the same story over and over, it would be cool to save the world with a character designed by your point of view. However, I do find something interesting. Regardless of customized characters or not, i have to wonder, why they didn't let you choose your gender......but anyway, i'll give it a shot.
THIS DBX GAME IS OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had the honor of playing each of the DBZ games for each system. With that I'm also a avid fan. This is my analysis from both point of view. Thus as follows: DBX game play to me was breath taking it was good that the original creator of DB had his hand in its making. The graphics were magnificent, especially TokiToki City! You can play in main and/or parallel storylines that would deem you the hero. No offence to my boys Goku and Vegeta lol. Character Creations, the variety of race, skill, items, and transformations where amazing. The multi-play ever the more better. I really enjoyed my game-play of the game altogether. To the cearetor of Dragon Ball, thank you so much for my childhood show, that made my days short with long nights.
I love the DragonBall games and I love the show and the manga. What I want to see from this game is all the crazy and epic fights on next gen consoles with more of a story line over an invisible voice telling you to fight this person or the Earth gets destroyed. I want the maps to actually resemble what the battlefields is the show looked like and for the maps to have great levolution(not like battlefield levolution) and to be able to actually use your surroundings to distract, damage or trap your opponent.
The Hype Train leaving to Hype Town
After countless youtube videos and a shot beta, it seems that DIMPS is working their hardest on this title, to make Dragon Ball Z a presence on PS4 and other platforms. Impressive graphics, I have never seen the Z fighters look this good! An interesting combat system unlike "Battle of Z". And more importantly a FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE CHARACTER in the franchises history! The Hype is deserved!
Most epic DBZ Vedio game ever made.!!
The History of DBZ Playing modes will be changed as we know it. DBZ will never be the same the way we play, the way we fight, fly, move, think, believe, and even hope will be in a whole different level. DBZ will take gaming into a whole different world and change the way we live, and think for the rest of our lifes.
I hope this is better than the LAST Dragon Ball game, it was terrible. Maybe this time the creators of the game will get it right this time. Fortunately so far they did.
I go lucky and played the beta only for 2 days but what I played I like way better then the old stuff
