Disney INFINITY: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Starter Pack Collector's Edition
After seeing my 5 year old son fall in love with 1.0, we can't wait for 2.0 and Marvel Super Heroes. He is already talking about the levels he wants to build and epic battles (Buzz vs. Spiderman anyone?)
Not for everybody, but right for target audience
I just ordered this earlier today. A couple years ago I was very much against the Disney Infinity game and games like Skylanders that make you buy all these toys to add content that should be included in the base game to start with
......but, I have a 2 year old nephew (3 by the time this comes out) now that absolutely loves the Marvel characters especially the Hulk. Now that my sister is introducing him to technology this is something that he and I can do together when he visits. The gameplay videos for the 2.0 edition (at least the Marvel side of it) looks entertaining enough for me, and simple enough for him. I played Lego Marvel on the PS4 with him for the first time last weekend and he was absolutely fascinated with it even though he doesn't have the controls figured out quite yet, but that will come with time. When his mom came to pick him up he was so excited to show her that he was playing as The Hulk. I'm sure this will be the same situation, but with the added bonus of toys of his favorite characters
At the end of the day this is a great way to connect with the little ones in your life and in the upcoming years they'll want to be there for all the super hero movies scheduled
Great characters, a step backwards in play sets
I bought this for my son and myself to play together. Positives - Characters are great, toy box is awesome as ever Negatives- Playsets really took a step backwards this year. My son wanted to play the 1.0 playsets over and over. Now he's one and done. Also the skylander-type time out on character death is less appealing to him.
2nd edition well worth it
I honestly never played the 1.0 edition of infinity. but i have played the past two years of skylanders. my daughter loved it. though i admit the money on skylanders takes a toll. you don't have to have all of them to play so keep that in mind. i as a parent and long time marvel fan cant wait for this game. I'm probably more excited then my daughter. i didn't buy the 1.0 cause normally first year things are never great. they are figuring things out .but now is the best time to buy it. i have the the collectors pre-order and i cant wait to see it. if you want a game that you and your kids can play and enjoy without too much complex things to teach them then this is the games for you. i hope you all enjoy it as much as i know i will.
great game with amazing diorama sculpture
this game is a lot of fun and it has many hours of game play with the 6 included avengers . the sculpture / diorama is very good quality and large. it lights up and looks amazing at night. this is a must have for any marvel or Disney fan and collector.
Laughing out loud!
Come on Marvel. Just make an Ultimate alliance 3, or a marvel version of injustice, or lego marvel 2. Introducing marvel heroes in a game is fun but I am older, I don't want to collect corny little happy meal toys, I want a game where I can unlock character as I progress thru out the game. P.S you are ruining the fun for the game, forcing us to buy characters to play as.
