Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great RPG It feels good to have new games based on the "old school" turn based system that newer games are straying from. One prime example is FFXV that has a active/turn base system is ok but i want total control over characters not just the main one with various classes or jobs. This game does this and you can even digivolve to get the skills you want. The story and graphics are good and has a gotta catch'em all feel you experience in pokemon. The one this I enjoyed most of all was the PVP your team versus another players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super addicting especially for Digimon veterans It's been a few years since I've played a turn based game let alone a digimon game but after 15 minutes of playing I was hooked I looked up at the clock and BAM 12 hours gone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Game Overall To be fair, this is not the greatest game that has ever been made; however, this is certainly one of my favorites. WARNING: I will try and avoid any major spoilers, but please be warned if you wish to simply walk into this game as a new experience do not read any further. Now for those who wish to buy this game or are curious enough to have a friend lend it to them there are a few things that you may want to know. Gameplay: First off, if you are familiar to the Pokemon franchise and enjoy the battle mechanics, then you will be overjoyed since the gameplay style is also turn based. However, unlike the Pokemon games where you can only have one or two Pokemon on the field in normal matches or in the wild, you are allowed to have a maximum of three Digimon at once. Also, while it is turn based, the moves will not necessarily be that the player goes first and then the CPU is allowed to move (or vice versa); rather the Digimon whose move it is or is going to be will be displayed on the right hand side of the battle screen. There are other parts of the game which are also very fun, but I will refrain from stating since that would be a type of spoiler. Setting: This game takes place in modern day Japan and the Cyber World (note: I will not refer to this as the Digital World because the Digital World in the Digimon series is a completely different place than the one the player goes into) the only place one will encounter "wild" Digimon will be in the Cyber World; that being said there will be times when you can run into them in the real world but those are special occasions/instances. If the player can go into the Digital World I am personally unsure as I have not completed the game yet. Graphics: Please keep in mind that this game was originally designed for the PS Vita. However, despite being built for a handheld system this game does very well and will make you wonder how in the world were they able to make a game look this good for a handheld system. Personally I have owned a number of handheld systems and between the graphics of a console system versus a handheld system there has always been a clear difference. The level of graphics on this game alone may make you reconsider the notion of buying a PS Vita (not to badmouth Nintendo's handheld devices as I have owned a number of them and will likely buy more). Story: As I said, I will be avoiding major spoilers, and explaining the story may be the largest spoiler of them all. The only basics I will willingly give are that you are person who lives in modern day Japan, and through a series of incidents come to work at a detective agency. My apologies if you wanted more info, but if you do go to the Wiki page for this game. Overall and Personal Statement: This game will be both familiar or refreshing to many gamers. However, those who have an intense dislike of: raising creatures, battling in a turn based fashion, or doing "missions" this is not the game for you. Personally, I bought the game because I was both curious and because I have been a fan of the series for a very long time. While I was playing the game I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would and found that it was a bit of a refresher, not because it was from a favorite series of mine, but rather because everything from the story to the play style felt comfortable and it simply flowed together. For those of you who are going to buy this game I hope you do enjoy it, and for those who do not wish to, I implore you to at least give it a good look or chance. Regardless though, I hope you all have fun playing your respective games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Game is Perfect for Everyone This is probably the best game I've played in years. The story is great and it isn't a story that is over in five hours. I loved that part the most. I often get games, play them and beat the story mode in either a few hours to a day or two. This game is just awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fantastic I literally know nothing about digimon except it's like pokemon in a way, and I recognize the digimon mascot. With that said, I figured "might as well try it out, I can always return it." I wont be returning this game needless to say. If you like Persona, get this game seriously. It's almost a copy/paste of the persona formula. I love the evolution of the digimon, love the grinding, story is good....I've been looking for a game to hold me over till P5 and I found it with Digimon Cyber Sleuth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great graphics and lots of digimon. The first Digimon game that has a great selection of digimon to obtain from the beginning. I liked it immensely and the eaters were a nice touch to the plot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing New Game to the Series This game has a great mixture of two of my favorite game Pokemon and the Persona series. It brings back my childhood memories when I first started watching Digimon, and it also brings me hope of more great up coming games to the west in the future. As gameplay goes it has the classic turn base RPG style. I love the way you can raise your own and increase the specs of your Digimon. Overall this is a great game for new and old fans of Digimon!
