by Costa Right Back At It!
I have always played Diablo games on my PC, but when they released D3 for PS3 I was hooked. Its almost as if the game was designed for console play from the start. A friend of mine and I held out on reaper of souls for a long time now. We heard that it was coming to PS4 and remained patient.
The wait was well worth it. It was easy enough to transfer our characters from PS3---to--->PS4. They walk you right through it, step by step, but you will need your PS3 to do the transfer.
After transfering our characters, we decided we'd both start by making a Crusader, the class that was introduced in the Reaper of Souls expansion. The Crusader is similar to the Paladin class that was in Diablo 2.
The Graphics blew me away. I mean they look great on the PS3, but when I was doing my transfer, and saw both systems running the game on two tv's, I noticed a big difference.
The bottom line is: This game is an incredible deal. It adds a whole new expansion, equiped with a new game mode (Adventure Mode), a new class, and a whole new act. On the PC people have payed roughly $100 for all the content given. Buy this game now, invite some friends over and have a blast.

by Solvarion Digital Edition has more goodies!
If you pre-order this from the PlayStation Store, you get some digital goodies that you cannot get anywhere else... Something to consider, but remember with digital editions, there is no physical copy to trade-in later.

The games themselves are great. The cost and service from Blizzard sucks. Too many problems with their online gaming service.

Upon hearing about Diablo 3 Ultimate Edition for the PS4, I was a bit skeptical, just because I had it for the PC and it sorta sucked, but after seeing gameplays on youtube and twitch and learning about the additional contents, I learned that this feels like Diablo had been re-done from the bottom up. That said, I decided to purchase it via gamestop.com. Luckily I ordered it before they ran out online lol. My only scare getting this would be when you choose to do the free/basic shipping from UPS because even though they deliver it, I learned that they ship it to your local post office instead of dropping it off at your house. Other than that I managed to get my package in 3 days instead of the projected 5-7 days. Playing this game is actually addicting as there are a lot of content with or without multiplayer. Crusader class is pretty sweet and at time op if played properly. Beware: Watch out for monsters that killed players on your friend list as they can enter your game and try to add you on their list lol. Like I said, aside from the shipping worries, this game is really awesome.

I played Diablo III on the PS3 and thought it was a good game. After a long debate and having nothing left to play for PS4, I decided to get this. Of the games I have played that have been remastered for a PS4 re-release, this is one of the best. The graphics improvements are obvious, but some of the game play mechanics seem more polished as well. Character actions are in sync with inputs and secondary characters seem to have (a little) more sense as to where to stand in battles. I have not played this version online yet, but if it is anything like the solo campaign, I expect to get many hours of fun out of it. If you are on the fence about this game, I would suggest it - especially if you never played it last gen.

Let me begin by saying if you played Diablo 3 on Xbox 360, you wont see that much of a graphical upgrade, albeit there is one. The true gem of the PS4 edition is it is practically locked in at 60 FPS, making this game truly solid even through its massive hordes of enemies and great visuals. The difficulty system has been revamped and now offers new challenges and rewards to those who can handle it. My favorite part of this edition is gone are the days of four playthroughs to max out your level. If you challenge yourself with the difficulty meter, you can get through level 1-70 in one playthrough through the 5 acts. Act V is great and feels like a story in its own that somehow fits perfectly with the original four acts. The Crusader is a hybrid of the Barbarian and the Monk that uses a shield and acts as the tank character coop Diablo 3 characters may have desired. Diablo 3 is one of the most expansive and best valued, well written games with the most astonishing cutscenes of all time. The writing and gameplay of World of Warcraft meets the ease and comfort of consoles, and it is an absolute must for RPG fans. Oh, and did i mention four player online AND local Co-Op? Take note corporate game companies, people still want to see this, and Diablo 3 delivers giving Blizzard yet another gold star on their record.
Rated 10 out of 10 by JLitton I own it and like it
Unlike people who write reviews on this or any other site... I actually own the game. Review means you have played and are offering your opinion on the game not posting what you have heard or read somewhere else. Anyway, I'm about 8-10 hours into the game and have leveled a Demon Hunter to 30 in that time. I have yet to experience a dull moment in the game - this coming from someone who habitually plays games like NBA 2K, MLB The Show, UFC, and Madden. I have never been a big fan of the "hack and slash" genre nor had I ever played previous versions of Diablo. I was looking for something different and found this game easily time consuming and enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone regardless of what you are used to playing.

Just watched recording of the developer Q&A live stream from a few days ago. They said that (opposed to what many people have said here) Blizzard will be providing support for the game post launch. That was pretty much the only concern i had for this game. I'm looking forward to the new Apprentice Mode that allows lower level players to jump in with higher level players and get a temporary boost so they can actually contribute and not die instantly. Also loving the earmarked gear drops that automatically go the the character they're meant for no matter who picks them up. Also like that they got the game to run at 1080p 60fps on BOTH new gen consoles (even though i'm getting this on PS4 and that was never going to be an issue on there).
