Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Dark souls Its supposed to be Hard!! This is a very fun and exciting game that is very rewarding. You Are bound to end up dying thousands of times but the one time you don't die and beat what was ending you, the satisfaction is more than worth it. And yes this game is challenging, it's Dark souls it is supposed to be! So don't complain that the game is too hard and dislike it because the experience is one that i believe needs to be shared.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for the right type of person I can see how the game would appeal to a certain crowd, I understand the game is challenging but I didn't like that I was just thrown into the game without any explanation or NPC guidance. From the start you're on your own there is very little story and after two hours I've decided to sell the game, I can see how a certain crowd would find it fun but not my type of game. IF YOU'RE 50/50 ON THIS GAME DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE GET A DIFFERENT RPG VERY SPECIFIC PLAYER BASE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the time or money I was very excited about getting this game and playing it. In the end I only logged about 2 hours of gameplay before I decided to resell the game. Total waste of time. Difficult to play, no direction, story is dull. Do yourself a favor and get another fantasy game like Dragon Age or Skyrim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game I really didn't get into the Souls games prior to Bloodborne. After playing Bloodborne, I realized that I wanted to give the Souls games another chance. I ended up picking this game up at Gamestop and fell in love with it on my Ps4. I actually like it better than Bloodborne now. I like the characters, and the weapons and the open world feel to the game. On the downside there was/ is at this time a weapon degrade bug due to framerate changes in the new versions of this game, but there is already a patch for that in the works. I am so happy I decided to give this game another chance. Yes, it is still hard at times but I feel it is a lot more forgiving than Bloodborne was. Cheers!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken Game! Tons of bugs play the original! I dont need to win you all over saying how I liked previous souls games or bloodborne to tell you this game is broken! wait until it is patched or waste hard earned money on game errors and bugs! Weapons break in 10 hits so you will never use your weapons you want unless your constantly repairing them the darksouls 2 on ps3 was not this bad with weapons breaking so soon. That alone is a game breaking bug for me and I cannot bring myself to pay full price for a game that was just release on ps3 now for ps4 with updated graphics and more bugs than the last and with the same dlc!!!! no new dlc the same dlc..... like what did you run out of ideas again developers? couldnt even come up with a new dlc had to re release a game with the same dlc no additional dlc .... poor game development..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful game I'm sure many people are upset that Scholar of the First Sin wasn't the original product sold last year, but that doesn't change the fact that this game is simply amazing. I noticed the improved graphics as soon as I started playing, and was very impressed. The game also includes a few more challenges than the vanilla version of the game, making it tougher for beginners and more exciting for veterans. Not a necessity if you own the original game, but I highly recommend purchasing this masterpiece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different But, a Good Different I played the first Dark Souls II on the Xbox 360 and absolutely loved it. Then I found out that Scholar of the First Sin was coming out and I got really excited, because the last gen version was sooo good. So I picked this up and started playing it and went through the motions I went through in the first one and then I realized that this was a slightly different game. So that means you had to forget what you remembered (sort of) and start new. So you still have hours and hours of gameplay and the same fun lasting appeal. And if you missed the first Dark Souls II or if you played it, I would still recommend this game. Thank you From Software. So get back into Drangelic and, "Praise the sun."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally. The Dark Souls franchise is one that thoroughly enjoys the destruction it gives to you as a person and is fully realized it's full potential on the current gen consoles. Dark Souls 2 is welcoming surprise to the thrill seeking type of video gamer making them think, react, and shout on their new shiny consoles without the full realization that they may want to buy a few extra controllers. The current gen consoles needed a game like this to fill in the library with a few games that have some kick to their gameplay.
