Play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt your family, monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city's network. Access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy...and more. Use the city of Chicago as your ultimate weapon and exact your own style of revenge.

Game Overview

Set in Chicago, where a central network of computers connects everyone and everything, Watch_Dogs explores the impact of technology within our society. Using the city as your weapon, you will embark on a personal mission to inflict your own brand of justice.

Chicago's overarching network is known as the Central Operating System (ctOS), and it controls almost all of the city's technology and information - including key data on all of the city's residents.

You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you'll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand. You'll access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy... and more.

The City is Our Weapon

Watch_Dogs takes place in a fully simulated living city. Using Aiden's smartphone, you have real-time control over the city's infrastructure. Trap your enemy in a 30-car pileup by manipulating the traffic lights. Stop a train, and then board it to evade the authorities. Narrowly escape capture by quickly raising a drawbridge. Anything connected to the ctOS can become your weapon.

Street Justice

Living in inner city Chicago, where violence is often answered by violence, Aiden has learned how to take the fight to the streets. Deliver devastating blows with your baton, or experience electrifying shoot-outs with physics simulation that rivals anything in the shooter category. Throughout his journey, Aiden will take on his foes with more than 30 traditional weapons.

High Octane Driving

Luckily, Aiden won't always need to traverse Chicago's streets on foot. Ubisoft Montreal has partnered with studios such as Ubisoft Reflections, the acclaimed team behind the award-winning Driver series, to provide a suite of vehicles bursting with horsepower. You'll get behind the wheel of more than 65 cars - each with state-of-the-art physics and handling - to explore Chicago's vast and intricate roadways.

Everything is Under Control

Disrupt, the all-new game engine powering Watch_Dogs, uses advanced processing to deliver stunning visuals and an incredibly immersive world.

Characters

Aiden Pearce

You are Aiden Pearce, a man shaped by violence and obsessed with surveillance, who monitors his family 24/7 in secret to protect them from something that happened in the past. Unfortunately, his family will get endangered once again.

Pushed to his limits, he will take justice into his own hands and confront a corrupt system using every weapon available to him. Aiden will become a modern Vigilante Hero - not a hero from the 70's with a cape, but a real human being that will deal with all the repercussions of his actions.

Clara Lille

Clara is seductive. She's dangerous. She's the trapdoor spider you never saw living right under you. She can weave her way through any system and she can expose every secret you hide.

Jordi Chin

When you're screwed beyond belief, you call in a fixer. And that's Jordi. He gets things done and gets paid good money for his services. You need a body to disappear? You gotta find a missing adversary? Someone pissed you off? You call Jordi.

ctOS

The ctOS is an efficient system linking all the city's infrastructure and public security installations to one centralized hub. This system focuses on traffic efficiency, eco-development, tele-communications, and crime control throughout Chicago. It has brought notable benefits to citizens, including shorter commutes, lowered crime rates, a cleaner city, and much more.

Chicago

Watch_Dogs takes place in a contemporary Chicago that's been enhanced and transformed by the ctOS. In this version of Chicago, everything is connected. Banks, security systems, communication hubs, and even the city's basic infrastructure operate via the this connected network. The ctOS provides a new take on one of the world's great cities, and it's this omniscient setting that serves as the backdrop for Aiden's story.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and addictive game with a decent story This game honestly dropped off my radar until WD2 came out. Than I decided to get the game. To me the game is a pretty cool fusion of GTA and AC. The ability to hack everything and use the city as a weapon is pretty cool. I also like how you can upgrade your characters skills to make him more dangerous. I also enjoy how the missions are open world. I can go in with a stealthy approach or I can go in guns blazing (I mostly do guns blazing). I'm still working on the game but so far, very satisfied with the gameplay, story and missions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissapointing This game had so much hype and people thought it was going to start the 8th generation of consoles with a bang. Unfortunately, it didn't. Just another mediocre Grand Theft Auto clone with hacking. The graphics were rubbish and Gameplay was generic. The hacking ability is cool but gets boring FAST!!! Don't waste your money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why? This game was a complete let down. I say this because you just press a button to do the "cool hacks"...there is no real challenge or story to this game. You just sneak around hack into stuff and then go back to your "base"....it felt very GTA and I just expected more from this game not something a 12 y/o could peck around at...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chicago Is Your Weapon - Have Fun Playing! For me, the coolest part about Watch Dogs is the hacking. You can do so much by surfing cameras, setting off traps, exploding junction boxes, hacking people's information. It all centers around Aiden Pearce, who helped his friend Damien do a heist at the Merlaut Hotel, when another hacker starts snooping, so Aiden cuts out, much to the anger of Damien. He then contends with someone trying to bump him off, but instead, ends up killing his niece, so now Aiden is out to find out who did this, why, and to get revenge. The mechanics are very easy to get used to, although the driving gets a bit wonky at times. If you get the season pass along with the game, it further expands the world, and also gives you access to the Bad Blood story, which is another great add-on game to the main story. If you didn't get this game before, now that it's cheaper, you really have no excuse not to give this one a try. Chicago is your toybox - have fun with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect free roam game this game is so awesome! this game is like GTA but it has an extra element, a tech element, you can hack everything! i was so fascinated. it is so immersive. it looks so lifelike. i would recommend to anyone who likes shooting games, strategy games, and role play games. i am a casual player and very picky on games. this game now has me hooked. if anyone who is PowerUp pro member, and has the specific offer stating that you can get this game for only 10 dollars, i suggest you get this game! DO IT!!!! this offer ends next week October 23rd 2015 i think.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hacking: The Ultimate Weapon Ubisoft's new IP has been one of the most hyped games of the past couple of years, and with the several delays it has received, a lot of people wondered if the game would ever even come out, or if it would simply be cancelled altogether. Finally, we have the game, and after a few months, I can confirm that it is a wonderful, if not slightly flawed, action game. The story concerns hacker Aiden Pearce, who manages to break into a city-wide security network in Chicago called CTOS, and subsequently uses this to his advantage, hacking all manner of traffic lights, road signs, even steam pipes and transformers. While the hacking is fun at times, at others, it can seem slightly annoying. I am particularly complaining about hacking while driving a car (more on the driving in a minute). While trying to focus on not hitting pedestrians and road blocks, it can become difficult sometimes to hack various things without losing reputation. While it's not a terribly huge annoyance, it can be a slight pain to accomplish. Now, about the driving. Here is where the mechanics feel at least a little bit unfinished. The driving is reminiscent of the newer "Need for Speed" games, particularly Criterion Games's reboots of NFS Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit. Turning can be very difficult, especially if you try to do sharp turns and frequently forget that there is an available handbrake option. All in all, thought, this game is worthwhile. The driving may be slightly annoying, but the story is heart-wrenchingly dramatic, and there are a few twists you may or may not see coming. The graphics are great, especially on PS4, and the potential for a sequel is incredible. Pros: +Story +Voice acting +Graphics +Action-packed Cons: -Driving -Some hacking puzzles are complicated without a guide FINAL SCORE: 9.1
