Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price ! I bought this headset about 1 year ago and they work and sound pretty good. I noticed if you have them on too long they start to hurt your ears a bit. Had some friends tell me it was hard to hear me sometimes but that is an easy adjustment. The sound wasnt bad but i have had better headsets with way better sound. Overall pretty good headset for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overrated So I recently got a PS four and decided I wanted to try out a headset, I originally went to GameStop to get The Sony gold edition headset, and I wish I would have stuck with my gut instinct. This headset is not necessarily a bad headset, but for the price you are better off getting the Sony gold edition or a pair of turtle beach stealth 400s. When I first put them on they were not too bad, but after 30 minutes or so they began to hurt my ears, and ultimately ended up not being very comfortable at all. Now size of ears may come into play on this aspect of comfortability. They are also noticeably heavy on your head. I believe my favorite feature of the headset is the retractable microphone, that is pretty cool. Onto the sound, the sound experience isn't horrible but as I said before, for the price you are really better off getting the Sony golds or a set of turtle Beach stealth 400s. When you are using them in the true sound mode you do get a feel of the sounds and where they are coming from, but if you turn on the bass boost the Sound gets really distorted the louder you turn the headset up. Also another problem that I had with these is I found it hard to completely enjoy my experience when I was chatting with friends and playing a game, I did not feel the sound of chat and sound of the actual game mixed very well. Overall I give these headsets at seven, I would have given them a six but it seems that you can find these for about $80 now. If you are purchasing these and they are 100 bucks, take my word and go with the Sony gold pair or the turtle Beach stealth 400s. I now have the Sony golds which are virtual surroundsound 7.1 and I am extremely happy with them and you also can download a companion app that allows you to manually adjust your equalizer settings for the headphones which is really neat. So in closing, if you can find these headsets for $80 or less maybe they are worth a shot, but if you have a bigger head or larger ears I would definitely stay away from them as after 20 or 30 minutes they will not feel comfortable to you anymore, instead spend an extra 20 or $30 and get a better headset.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but not for extended play Sounds quality is amazing! And I've been told that others can hear my voice clearly and its solid. My only complaint is that the headset is not comfortable at all. The design is very bulky and heavy, which puts a lot of pressure down on your head. Normally my gaming sessions go on for 6+ hours when I play, and this headset was NOT made for that long. The padding on the top band is minimal and the cushions surrounding the ear tend to squeeze excessively and put a lot of pressure down. From my experiences, I've dealt with severe discomfort with this headset after about only 2 hours of gameplay. The pain will linger as well after the headset is taken off. I would recommend this if you don't have long play sessions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This headset is overall a good buy To start this off I am reviewing this headset 4 months after I have purchased it. I purchased my afterglow Kral headset at a game-stop store & I paid 80$ If you are looking around for extreme surround sound this headset isn't for you. Yes, you can tell if someone is to your right or left but you can't tell the angle or the distance as well as you can with other headsets. The battery life is amazing. I've gamed all day before (about 9 hours) and the headset didn't die. The sound quality is nice but VERY bass heavy. The headset is almost unusable in bass boost mode unless you turn the game volume down and the master volume up. Otherwise the bass is shaky and sounds VERY disoriented. The connection between the USB dongal (sorry for spelling) & the headset is really great. I can be in my kitchen and still hear all audio and chat without any lag or interference. the microphone quality is great. The build quality is okay, not the best but it will get the job done.
