Tom Clancy's End War
I Really Enjoyed This Game
This game was actually really fun and one of the first that allowed you to play exclusively with voice controls. The storyline wasn't too original, but I didn't care much as I was too busy rolling my Russian tanks over the terrain and wiping out squads of infantry while my attack choppers picked off any well defended units. The gameplay could get a little frustrating sometimes, especially if you were playing by voice controls because, while it is pretty good at picking up orders, sometimes they would fall through at crucial moments and the resulting casualties would tick me off. Graphics were decent for this genre, as was the sound. It didn't hold much lasting appeal for me because I could only play the AI so many times before I grew tired of it. I went online a few times but I am terrible at online RTS so that got old just as quickly. Overall, a great game if you like RTS, but not if you are expecting to have a base. The coolest part, in my opinion, is the upgradeable units because you can customize each unit to fit certain tasks or just be unstoppable.
BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING
The game is good but be extremely careful when buying because you need a Sony PlayStation 3 head set to play it.
Most lifelike game ever
The most realistic game ever. Theater of War is the BEST ONLINE FOR ANY GAME. The best feature is that you can play in a match that actually matters. The story mode could have been a lot better and harder. You can beat the campaign mode a couple of hours, even with the long games. Skirmish is a really unused game-type but needed for offline players. And in case your wondering, all factions are set equally, with all of them having their pros and cons. A better customization feature would be the ability to actually let you decide what you want your units to look like, not just a few preset schemes, which you can only decide of 3 between all the schemes. The graphics are JUST PLAIN AWESOME. They are way underrated. I can't wait to see a Endwar 2 in which it gets lots of DLC and community support, unlike the first.
This game is awsome. The graphics are great as is the sound. The controls are easy as is the voice command. However, you have to be in a quiet room otherwise it wont be able to understand your commands. The story line could be ALOT longer, I beat it in a couple of hours, but it is a good storyline. I would also recomend not to play "Theater of War" until you have at least beat the game. Also, you do not need a headset to play this game.I would strongly recomend buying one though. In my opinion, the voice command makes half the game. Upsides: Great Graphics, Voice command,Storyline Downsides: Misunderstanding voice commands, Short story line This is a great game and I would definatly recomend to anybody who like strategy and shooting. Also it says that it is a ten, but I would say it is a nine.
This game has got to be one of the simplest, yet action-packed RTS I've ever seen for PS3. You're given a line of units starting from Basic Riflemen to Booming Artillery, each one upgradable as you play the game. Though, resourceful players might not appreciate the game as much, those of us who get a kick out of spamming the enemy with Tanks, tanks, and more tanks with a pinch of Helo support, this game is great fun. Though you don't NEED a headset to play this game, it is definently helpful, otherwise I hope you have great dexterity, cause you'll be on the R2 and L2 button and D-Pad like flies on a corpse.
Overall; stunning game. Super-death rays, vaccume bombs, flame-throwing tanks and chemical-spewing artillery make this game incredible fun. Just don't forget the tanks!
The BEST RTS GAME FOR THE PLANET
This game is amazing. I was about to pick up prince of Persia before but I picked this up instead. I was afraid I might have made the wrong choice but I was so much happy with this game. The controls are amazing and the system understands the voice command very well. I feel like an actual commander playing this game. I started playing the story mode. Before the official story mode, World War 3, I had to play the prelude. I played the whole day and I still couldn't beat the prelude. So by that I know that the story mode will be very long. Well, I kinda got stuck on this 1 level so I started playing online. It was amazing. The connection were very good and it felt so real. I think 1 day is 1 turn in that game. So it will be like this sea base have been USA's for 20 turns. Also the customization or should I say upgrade is very good too. It had like everything. Attaching machine guns, to tanks or mobility , specials(air-strikes and more), and like defense. The attacks are very realistic. When you should an air-strike or something like Kinetic bomb, There will be picture on the side, ex a jet pilot or missiles coming toward earth and it was so realistic. So I gave graphic 9 I didn't give that 1 point because some of the buildings. If I break something my tank just went through it. Still, this game is AMAZING OVERALL. So I recommend this game a lot. P>S> Im USA faction lol
at first i was doudting this game it looked boring to me.so i bought cause it was cheap and let me tell you it was awsome.Im not really a big fan of strategie games and this ones my first the gameplay is awsome the graphics are good. The story mode is alrite its kinda short but the online is unbeleievable the matches can last to 3 days or more its insane. The controlls are simple the game shows you how to play. Overall this game is awsome go get it
I Love This Game!!
This game is absolutely amazing. I think it is taking a huge step in RTS games. Ubisoft did a great job with this game. I love all the factions (especially Spetsnaz) and the units. I also love how you can customize your units. The best part of this game has to be the voice command. This is the first time that a game has had voice command. I got the bundle with the bluetooth headset and they work perfect together. The voice command is so easy and convenient. The only thing that would make this game better is if you didn't need a controller at all. I have liked all Tom Clancy games, but this one tops them all. The online play (Theater Of War) is really cool, some battles go on for hours and at the end of the day nothing stays the same. I would recommend this game to any RTS fan. Kudos to Ubisoft and I hope there will be an END WAR 2!
Strategy Game Of The Year
I picked it up today after school. I started to play it and was amazed on how it was set up. The controls were easy to get used to for me. I like the setup for the headset. I just got the official headset with socom and it worked great with Endwar. I was stunned how you can use your voice. It was awesome. Its easy to say things but you have to get used to it. I actually played a multi-player with my friend. It was pretty cool. You can play with up to 4 people. 2v2 or 1v1. But if you don't know the basics, your going to get killed online. The storyline was pretty basic, WW 3 with 3 factions, Russia, America, Europe. I prefer America but there all equally good in there special areas. There were some graphical issues but they weren't big. I totally recommend this to everyone. This game is an amazing step towards console RTS's.
The game has excellent multiplayer capabilities, and my favorite is the "Global World War," where your battles contribute to the whole online battleground, and everyone is affected by your decisions and your wins/losses. One thing that I think could be worked on (just a little) is the sounds. The music is a bit repetitive, so I usually end up listening to my iPod out of one ear, and having my Bluetooth in the other, giving commands. Another thing about the sounds is that every time I switch from unit to unit, that unit always says something like this: "This is [NAME OF UNIT], all systems running smoothly." That gets annoying really quickly, but in intense situations, you hardly notice it at all, so it's just a minor thing. The game is a really great game overall, but if you tweak it just a little, it'll be perfect.
