The King of Fighters XIII
I'm definitely hyped for this
I really loved the art style and the graphics of KOF12, but the character roster and gameplay engine let me down. That said, I'm gettin' pretty hyped for KOF XIII myself. After watching the latest trailer and gameplay vids, I think it's safe to say KOF13 is a big improvement over the prequel.
Another great snk 2D fighter

Hardcore 2D gameplay is here
after playing it at the Arcade it's safe to say KOF13 is a really big improvement over the prequel In the console version's Story Mode, players can view events from multiple characters' perspectives , In addition, the story will be influenced by the player's choices and battle results, and im happy to have 10 game modes
So Buying This.
psycho ball, psycho ball! Psycho Sword! Phoenix Arrow!
Watch this and get pumped
I am so ready. Trading in Street Fighter 4 and KOF 12 for this.
VERY NICE IMPROVEMENT OVER KOF 12!
Graphics are now HD and you can see the background are beautifully presented, the online experience has been much improved and most of the online matches I had were smooth. KOF fans must have this and you will enjoy the battle as much as Iori does that to Mai!
In the words of M. Bison: YES! YES!
Gonna be short and sweet with this one, gameplay is classic King of Fighters goodness but still accessible to players. Of course there is one flaw in this game, overpowered bosses which are just a staple of SNK but I feel Ash Crimson is too overbalanced being that his projectiles and flames can cover 90% of the board. You can beat him though, he's just as frustrating as Gill. Graphics are amazing and I love the backgrounds though at the same time none were as breathtaking as one in King of Fighters 12 which I think had the best backgrounds of all time even though there were few of them. Character roster, while not breaking the barrier, is still large and with fan favourites. There are multiple modes, decent tutorial though I will say that STXT currently has the best tutorial i've experienced. Online isn't the best though at the end of hte day I have enough friends to fight against. Also, you may still find the versions with the 4-Disk CD for free with it. So go and buy this.
King Of Fighters was one of the best 2d fighting games around in the 90's. When they made maximum impact in 2002 and maximum impact 2 in 2006 they want to make it 3d which the game looked BAD but it was good. When they hit KOF 12 they put the original 2d graphics but didn't please as much fans and had dissapointing reviews. Lastly when they made KOF 13 with improved gameplay and multiplayer people knew it was going to be good plus it has favorable reviews. Here are the Goods and Downfalls
+ Amazing Gameplay
+ Perfect 2D Graphics
+ Has a convincable Story
+ Lots of Fun!
- Short Story
- Multiplayer Lags
- Cheap Final Boss
Final Score 8 out of 10!
Final Speech: King Of Fighters 13 is definetly a great game even better than 12. Though despite the few downfalls KOF 13 should enjoy you for everything.
What KOF 12 was meant to be
Just from videos of the arcade version, I can tell you that "The King Of Fighters 13" will be a vast improvement over the last installment. KOF 12 was plagued by a number of things: too few characters, laggy online play, no last boss, ect. The good news is, it looks like most of those problems will be fixed in this iteration. While the sprites have been shrunk down from those in KOF 12, all of the gameplay seems to have remained intact (and it runs a little faster too). Also, several fan favorite characters that were missing before--such as Mai Shiranui--make their return here in glorious hi-def. It's too early to tell if online play will be better, but I think it's safe to say that KOF 13 will be a sure hit with 2D fighting fans.
Just pure honest fighting :)
From the arcade version of this I played its leaps and bounds better than any fighter put out this gen. It has the artstyle and the characters and its nothing like that rush job KOFXiI. I didn't even buy kof XII I rented it because knew it was going to be bad with only 24 characters, limited movesets,6 stages and no endings >_>. Kof XIII has all of this now and more so you can rest easy knowing that this will be worth the 50 bucks you pay. Heck its even worth 60 but their releasing it at 50 bucks and a cool pre-order with it.
