Endless fun!
Skyrim is an incredible game. From the highest mountain tops to the expansive valleys, the world of skyrim is huge, diverse, and fun to explore. Furthermore, the amount of places to discover and quests to complete is large, but some can get repetitive, especially misc quests. People claim to beat all the quests on one character and say the game has nothing more to offer, I beg to differ. Create a character with a different play style than the first one and you will find unique ways to beating the game, breathing new life into the same quests. Creating your own play style is probably the best feature skyrim has to offer. From sword and shield, to fire and conjuration spells, there is endless replay ability. I am still playing skyrim today, long after its release. Not to mention the DLC's add new quest lines that will offer many more hours of gameplay! There are some graphical glitches, texture pop is one but they are infrequent and minor. All around amazing graphics for a game of its size. Sound is good, the soundtrack is immersive but characters use the same voice. Gameplay is stupendous, the variety is fun and random in counters are always interesting to stumble upon as you journey. Fighting has a good feel to it in first person. The variety in skills is always fun to experiment with, smithing is especially helpful on your journey. Overall I am still impressed with skyrim and will continue to play it.

One of the worst RPGs ever.
Ever since this game came out I was always so perplexed by every one saying that this game was amazing. 80% of the game is just drab snow covered mountains or forests. Sure, sometimes you'll think, "wow this game sure is pretty", but that's all it really has to offer. | The gameplay is extremely boring, nothing like everyone says it is, the Dragons are pretty neat the first couple of times you encounter them, but after that they are the most annoying things ever. You can't fast travel to a town without having one spawn. | Speaking of fast traveling, it takes sometimes near 2 minutes to load sometimes. | The storyline of Skyrim could have been so much better, but it's pretty simple. The world is pretty large, which isn't always a good thing. Whenever you have to walk great distances to get somewhere, you will get extremely bored because of the lack of detail in the world. Graphics don't make a game good, and it shouldn't even be mentioned as a strong point of this game. | The items/weapons/armor in the game are terrible, not so much of design, but the sheer lack of them. You can craft all of the armor in easily an hour, same with weapons, and after that there's almost zero point in exploring anything, because it's not like you're going to find some epic armor or weapon, you would have already had them. | The leveling up mechanism and questing system is pretty standard RPG, even though the side quests are so boring and last forever, there is almost an unlimited amount of things to do in this game, which isn't a good thing in this case, because actually beating the game and everything can be pretty satisfying for some people, but Skyrim, just never ends. | Overall, if you like very slow gameplay, combat, basically everything the game has to throw at you, and drab/bland not very detailed scenery, then this game is perfect for you.

Top 5 of my favorite PS3 games!
If you like open world games with alot to do. Skyrim is for you. Even after beating the main story there is a ton to do, Loads of side quests, you can buy houses and customize the interior of your home. You can play through all of the guilds and explore Skyrim for dragons, weapons and armor, books and whatever else you find fun.

think about it
i honestly do NOT know why this game got so many awards! i do not see why this game is even worth playing. i have played other rpg games and they have a better story and EVERYTHING. i personally reccomend mass effect 3 because u can still get the game without having to play the previous games so the story is not confusing.

Elder Scrolls is awesome
This game is amazing though after you play through it thoroughly once its boring to play a second time. Hope you enjoy the game. I encourage all of you to buy skyrim. Other great games are red dead redemption, gta 4, Oblivion, Call of duty black ops 1 and 2. MW3, MW2, BF3, FC3, AC3, AC BROTHERHOOD, and infamous. Try border land s too. hope this review helped and have a good day. Thanks for reading guys.

Solid Game and Fun to Play
I will start this review off with a buzz kill. I didn't make it more than twenty or thirty steps in Oblivion and Morrowind and elves where a bit to dry, bland, realistic, and nerdy for me. I also had friends that were into it and they warned me the game was very vague and I would have to use a walkthrough every step of the way otherwise.
I am however a fan of bioware's neverwinter nights and I played Fallout 1 and 2 and liked both. Even if I was barely out of pre-adolescence.
Skyrim is a fresh installment in the series and has alot of Fallout 3's physics. The graphics are pretty good. Sometimes a sword goes into a wall or something doesn't synchronize correctly. Nothing more than a couple seconds.
The world map is much better than other installments and fallout 3. Congrats besthedasoft on finally making a game besides fallout 1 that you can successfully play the story as it was meant to be played and enjoy all the challenges and puzzle solving without having to revert to an online forum or downloading a huge walkthrough that spoils the game just from the table of content listings. Kudos besthedasoft.
What they couldn't do in fallout 3 they did here. No offense but I tore open fallout 3 four or five years ago and a couple hours into the game had absolutely no clue whatsoever how to continue the story.
The combat is fun and can easily be switched between first person and a third person view. Quests and the maps are somethign similiar to darksiders II. The story is pretty good. I like the skill system and the interface for the game. Overall the game is pretty good and geniuinely fun to play.

AH. the freedom
this is one of the best games ever. it has great gameplay, a feeling of freedom, and so much more. this is one the most fun games i have ever played in my life though sometimes i have rendering issues, glitches, and things not working all the time, it is still really great. the dlc is also good but the wait time for it is what ruined the dlc a little bit, but overall great game.

Don't buy into the hype.
You like fast-paced action? Skyrim is not for you.
You like slow-paced action? Skyrim is not for you.
You like good, engrossing stories? Skyrim is not for you.
You like interesting, varied side quests? Skyrim is not for you.
You like having a reasonable and realistic effect on your surroundings? Skyrim is not for you.
You like deep, intricate leveling systems? Skyrim is not for you.
Variety? Skyrim is not for you.
You like hours and hours of content spread across a lively world with a simply terrible interface and combat from 1998? Skyrim, may just be for you. The game itself is slow, clunky and as I like to call games like this "Loadey" Half the game is a giant loading screen. Somtimes the game freezes then comes back to life again. It feels unfinished which is obvious by the bland graphics and combat. The game is broken/unfinished. It had so much potential but they squandered it and sadly It's terrible.
