The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year - GameStop Exclusive
Waiting for the Skyrim DLCs, picked this up, since I sold it a while ago. Still my favorite Elder Scrolls game. I never ran into any major bugs in this game.
One of the Best RPG's
Oblivion is one of the best games ever made. It got so many game of the year awards in 2006 and this edition comes with one of the DLC's of the decade, The Shiviring Isles.
Great game. Misleading packaging...
Overall, this game is a blast to play and it brings back a lot of memories of when I played it when it first came out. However, I was misled by the packaging on the back of the case where it shows "Trophies" listed. It does not have trophies nor was there ever a patch for trophies in this game. The game is still worth playing for sure, but the possibility of trophies made the purchase much more enticing.
This Game Sucks In Comparison To Skyrim
Where to begin here. They have like 3 ppl voicing every single character in the game. The graphics are hideous (Though not bad at all for the time it was released). There is glitches left and right in this game and not in such a way where they can just be ignored or considered a minor annoyance. The plot was thin and the lack of a good third person view was very annoying. I hated this game when I first played it 3 years ago and only semi-appreciate it now. The only reason I even played Skyrim is because they vastly improved upon and fixed everything I hated in this game. All in all this game just doesn't even come close to stacking up against Skyrim. It's even not so much that this game is bad it's just that you kinda begin to wonder what the point is of playing a game like this when you have a game like Skyrim out there.
this game was absolutely amazing. The graphics were great for there time and the gameplay was astonishing. However there were a few bugs in the game but that is nothing compared to the gameplay overall. GREAT GAME
Perfect for those new to Elder Scrolls
If you've been missing out on the Elder Scrolls game, then this one is a perfect place to start. Tons of sidequests and places to explore, plenty of ways to build you character, and an overall decent plot. You won't ever find yourself wondering which quest is the main one and which are sidequests. Plus, this version comes with all of the DLC.
Better than Skyrim and here is why:
YES, Skyrim DOES play smoother and is alot easier to pick up and play, but there is NO real challenge in that game compared to Oblivion. The DLC for Oblivion was difficult and challenging but so deep and exciting. Skyrim is a GREAT game, in fact if you want something newer and has more DLC get Skyrim. But if you want a game with more challenge, get Oblivion. And Vampires aren't as bad as everyone makes them.
broken and repacked
well unless they fixed the last goty glitch enjoy being a vampire permanently cuz you cant cure it. just google the vampire glitch and youll know.
Oblivion is one of the best games ever made. And sense the Game of The Year Edition comes with the DLC, then it's a must buy.
