by RPGK1NG This Game is a must buy for people who love RPG's
This game is a must buy for 6 maybye 7 reasons. #1 the game is only 20 bucks! so even if you dont like it you only wasted 20 bucks. #2 the game is astounding for the lasting appeal and many more. This game gives you more than 100 hours of fun even if you dont play the main story! You can play all the different side quests and still have over 100 hours of gameplay. The side stories are very interesting and informative. Some of the side stories even tie into the games main plot and story line!. I would give this game a 9-10 because of one main flaw i saw in the graphics and game engine this game is run on. If you dont have a good ps3 then when you are fighting 20 to 30 guards the game sometime freezes because it is too much for the system to handle. but there is a solution to this, if you pause your game for about 10 mins and come back it should of unfroze. I also noticed that the game engine its runned on can be a little annoying and lag alot. Other than those reasons this game is a must buy for anyone thinking of something to do in there spare time. I would recommend this game to people from the ages of 11-26ish it is also good for gamers of any age but it might be a little harder to figure out for younger people. This game is a must buy.

This game is Very good. If you have not played elder scrolls before start here. This is the simplest one. I like it better than skyrim. The only reason I gave it a 9 and not 10 is the vampire quest glitch. Shivering isles is amazing. Huge dlc. Knights of the nine is in the same map as normal game but you get weapons and armor at the end.

Words cant really express the greatness of this game, but I will try my best. Lets start with graphics. Yes the game is 3 years old but I still have not seen a better sky (especially at night). the tree leaves/grass/underwater could be better along with the characters(not including the armor), but the level of detail I would say is top notch for when this game came out and still beats games comming out today. the gameplay I would say is perfect. The controls are smooth and easy to use, im not saying playing the game is exactly easy as you still have to time the advanced manuvers you get later in the game as you level just right. There is atleast 150+ hours of gameplay which should be a minimum for new RPGs that come out (that way i dont feel like ive wasted my $60). Some of the sounds from creatures you battle are not that great but the rest of the sounds are great. If you are a fan of RPGs this is not money wasted ( get the GOTY version). I think the game speaks for its self.

I had never tried any of the Elder Scroll games but this one looked good and it had came out for the ps3, so i just had to try it! Right when I plugged it in I was blown away by how you could make your characters, you can customize them absolutely any way possible. The graphics are amazing, from dark dripping caves to amazing green grass plains this game really shows what the playstation can do. When your first dropped in the game an amazing story line comes over you and its impossible to stop playing the game. You can even change the difficulty from easy to hard and every where in bettwen. I have put so so much time into my copy and I still play it alot. There is hours of land to just walk around and enjoy, at some points i just found my self sitting there listening to birds or looking at the rolling hills! Besides all of this there are hundreds of weapons, armours and quests to get and complete. I recommend this game for any one who likes RPG games, it is a classic for me and I hope it will be for you too!

My brother got this game for the 360 and at first just by looking at the cover i thought the game was going to be dark and weird. Then i played it and my mind was blown. I plugged in over 90 hours into that game and didn't even complete all the side quests and i only found about half the locations in the game. I have it for the ps3 now and i already have 34 hours of gameplay and i've already found several quests i didn't in my first play through. this game is still loved by fans everywhere after 5 year. The gameplay is amazing the leveling system is great. At increments of 25 you get a new ability. like if your marksmanship gets to 50 you are then able to zoom in with the bow. Storyline is very good. I can go on all day. But gameinformer said it is the 3rd best game of this console generation losing to only bioshock and GTA IV which i think this game is better than both. Anyways if you havent already get this game especially if you aren't sure about getting skyrim this will convince because skyrim is going to be far better than this game.

I have played WoW for 4 years, guild wars for a year and i got bored with them. WoW became a everyday boring routine. Do a daily, do a raid, etc. There was nothing new except for patches that nerfed everything and once every couple of years expansions. and i had to pay 15$ a month for it. Right now there are hackers everywhere and blizzard is not doing anything. I bought a PS3 and bought this game. Its so so so much better than any video game i ever played. The story is amazing, there are so much races and classes. They never get nerfed. You can create your own class. The customization is amazing. This game requires you to plan before you attack. Although its not as hard as demon souls. Everything in this game is amazing. When you play this time goes by in a flash. You can start playing at 8am and the next thing you know its5 pm already. Thats how much fun this game is. and its a one time payment, and you never get hacked or nerfed. You can play this for 500 hours and only complete a tiny fraction of the game. I think its even bigger than WoW

This game was, by far, the best roleplaying game I have seen in a long time. I gave it a 9 for a challenge because I felt that it was a little easy, but then you can customize the difficulty level. I gave it a 10 in character customization because you can change every single part of the character. I gave it a 10 in controls and interface because the controls come naturally once you learn them; that makes fighting really easy. The interface is really easy to understand. I gave it a 10 in length and storyline because there is a whopping 2500+ hours of gameplay so you never get bored. Graphics and sound got a 10 because the graphics make you feel like you're in real life. The music is really easy to listen too. Overall I think that this game is recommended to everyone even if you don't like these types of games. There is a little bit for everyone. You can kill, steal, sneak and cast spells, and you can explore everywhere on the map.

Oblivion is one of the most open world RPGs there are, which makes it very enjoyable to play. I have not really uncovered the story just yet, but I have played the game for almost 24 hours total, and I am not even close to finishing the game! You can play as anyone, really, you pick your class, your major and minor abilities, which you will need to increase your major abilities to level up. You can join many guilds in the game, which add a multitude of new quests for you to do, such as the Mages Guild, the Fighters Guild, and the Thieves Guild, where you get paid for stealing belongings upon request. The fighting does get overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, Oblivion is a breeze. There are many different types of enemies you will fight, such as imps, Necromancers, wolves, bandits, and many other mystical creatures. You are given many weapons to choose from, such as Long Swords, Daggers, a Mace if you are in the Mages Guild, and my favorite, the bow and arrow. The variety and on your own gameplay make this one of my favorite games for the PS3.

I don't play rpg's. It's as simple as that. I've never cared for them. Having said that, I'm only a couple of hours into it and realize the full addictive potential of this game. I play shooters, action/adventure, racing, well, pretty much every genre except rpg's, on a regular basis but lately I've yearned for something different. I downloaded the Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning demo which is a rpg. To my surprise, I got hooked. It made me want to give The Elder Scrolls series another shot. I had Skyrim for less than a day( this is before I downloaded the KOA demo) and traded it back in because it failed to meet my expectations. I'm not saying it was bad its just that I, until recently, didn't like these type of games. Long story short, I picked up Oblivion GOTY edition and I am hooked. Yes I thought rpg's were stupid. Now I see why all the fuss about this series and I appreciate the genre. Next stop Skyrim again...

Now we all know and love fallout 3, but this game is probably it's superior the graphics are amazing as well as the sound the only thing is the game's challenge is medicore at best but the large world layouts and free roam count the ability to do anything is just awesome. Juust to keep you occupied you have side missions, random fights and levels. Plus nothing beats beatin' on some annoying people or guards it's not wrong some times they really deserver it. However the story isn't so great it's not terrible either about 8 out of 10. Honestly if you like this game you must have a pretty good atention span because doing everything in the game for story mode does get kind of annoying. The controls easily earn a 10 out of 10 they aren't complex and they suit the game well which you dont always see from games alot now. Well i'd really reccomend this game not the best but every game has flaws
