by UltimateLifeForm This is what the fans have been waiting for!
Sonic Unleashed was a stepping stone for this, they tried to add the 2-D sections with the 3-D levels, while some argue whether they did a good job of it or not is then, now we're looking at the best idea Sega and Sonic Team have had since SA2 (Sonic Adventure 2 Battle)! Now we're looking at what could be in fact the bringing together of both Sonics for an epic game! My only question is, after this game where does Sonic go, is this it for Sonic the Hedgehog????

Sonic Team, you have once taken pride of this franchise and treated it with care. Ever since the dream cast ended, the quality of sonic games have spiraled downwards started with sonic heroes, and then was the god awful shadow the hedgehog , that disgraceful mess known as sonic 06( let's not even talk about sonic 06, god that was just a train-wreck ), then you guys dumbed down the game play even further with sonic and the secret rings, and black knight. Finally, you guys added the unnecessary gimmick of the wherehog, in sonic unleashed. Thank fully we revived a gem within the b+ game, sonic colors. But the sonic franchise is not out of the woods yet. This game regarded as sonic's last chance. IF THIS FAILS, THEN SONIC IS DOOMED. If you want to make this franchise successful again, make sure the plots make sense, less playable characters as possible, no more gimmicks, give the player the option to collect the chaos emeralds by themselves, no more on rails gameplay, darker stories, CALL EGGMAN,"DR.ROBOTNIK" AGAIN, less guided game play, lessen the tutorials(let the player figure out the gameplay by themselves, like in Genesis games), get rid of the conveyorbelt pads( sonic can already run fast, why does he need a conveyorbelt to help him?) , do not rush to put another sonic game out, take as much time as possible, focus more on momentum than speed, ( that is what made the Genesis games popular), and really get rid of the lock on icons whenever sonic does a homing attack, it really makes the game look to easy. Please SEGA, Sonic Team, take note of this. This franchise can be saved if you guys slowed down and take your time with these games. I'm a huge sonic fan and i don't want this character to be blown away into obscurity. I hope this game marks a beginning in more quality sonic the hedgehog games. That being said i'm pre-ordering mine. (crosses fingers, and hoping that this game will be good).

After 5 years of either mediocre or just plane bad sonic games, the series was revived last year by sonic colors. This year, yet another great sonic game is released to keep the series going again. This game features the hedgehog that you know and love with a light hearted story, great platforming and speed gameplay, excellent graphics and truly spectacular music. my complaints are that it is pretty darn easy and short (1 playthrough= about 5 hrs). Also i feel there is missed opportunities in the story but this is only a slight problem if your a hardcore sonic fan. Now there are a few moments of glitchiness and cheap deaths but these small problems should not keep you from buying this games. These are only tiny let downs and the the whole experience more than makes up for it. If your a long time sonic fan you will really appreciate these level remakes and imaginings. Even if your not a sonic fan, this is a great game i recommend you play. Welcome back to greatness you blue blur and happy 20th!

I was very weary of this game after the past few titles since Adventure Battle: 2. The graphics on this game are of course cartoony, but the swap of each sonic between 2D and 3D is nice. You'll be running along as 2D sonic and it may switch to a brief 3D kind of feel. Vice-versa for 3D Sonic. I really enjoyed seeing the old Sega worlds, such as Green Hill and Chemical Plant, redone for 3D Sonic as well as todays Sonic levels, such as City Escape from Battle 2 or Crisis City from Sonic the Hedgehog (listed below). I'm just halfway through the game, and I've realized this game has a lot of replay value due to the challenges the game presents. Each section has 3 levels which have 5 challenge gates each for both sonic (a total of 10 per level). Some challenges are simple races against Tails, Knuckles, etc, but some are challenging like surving with only 1 ring or trying out some new ability like the Aqua or fire shields. I recommend this game to children and adults alike.

Ok so I'm not a hardcore Sonic fan and I don't think I've played a Sonic game since the Sega Genesis days, but this was a good game. Nothing like "omg, this is the best game in the world," but still good nonetheless. I think the best feature of the game is the music. I've never rated any game a 10 in the sound category but the music is superb. The game itself played just like I remember all those years ago (except updated of course) The online feature isn't great. It's just a matter of playing a stage and seeing if you beat someone else's time/score. Nothing exciting there. I don't see much replay value here unless you like playing the same stages, but with slightly different tasks/goals/objectives. (Referring to story mode and the stage challenges that appear after beating a stage). The only thing I really didn't like about the game was that with some boss battles, it got rather ridiculous/irritating/frustrating as to beating them. Other than that, it was a solid game.

This is the best Sonic game of all time, the gameplay, the graphics, and the awesome soundtrack! but why is ALMOST perfect? because the game is short! Not as short as everyone says but it's still kinda short, the main story will take you about 3 - 4 or even 5 hours to complete, then you have the option to play 5 missions in each act, another 4 hours, collecting all red rings, 2 - 3 hours. getting S rank in every act, mission and boss battle will take you only 1 or 2 hours because you might get an S rank at the first attempt because this game is easy the most of the times but its challenging at some points. You may finish the game at 100% in only 10 - 14 hours. But that doesn't mean that the game is done. You can always play again acts or missions you like, there is an addictive online game modes, you can always watch the cut scenes of the the game, listen to the soundtrack of past sonic games, watch pictures and you can even play the full game of Sonic The Hedgehog 1. I don't care if the game is short, THIS IS THE BEST SONIC GAME EVER!
Rated 0 out of 10 by Littelbigreviwers2 The End of the End pt 1
well in the beginning SEGA was awesome lucky almost every game but unfortunately luck can't be there forever and it wasn't soon SEGA was on a losing streak was this the beginning of the end of Sonic the Hedgehog according to Sonic colors no its not if SEGA nails this one it could be the End of the End for there losing Streak. now the story seams to me like all of Sonic's friends have a picnic party with the exception of Silver and Shadow due to them in the past being a boss Shadow because be doesn't care about Sonic and Silver for what ever excuse he has. the only thing is it looks like every thing goes so fast in the story they would need like 3 cut scene at one point just to get you ready for the next level. The voices I'm scared to know since there have been word that there is 3 possible main themes for the game. you see SEGA is messing with are heads like a puzzle with the acting and songs well played SEGA well played. Finally I think that White time and space is amazing and better then blue adventures and I can't wait for this to come out.
Rated 10 out of 10 by TheaterNerd The best game I have ever played...honestly!
This game is honestly the best title I own. One Sonic was fun enough, then SEGA added another Sonic and it so AMAZING. I literally had my mouth open when I was playing th game because the nostalgia is So strong, and the levels are awesome remakes of our favorite levels from the past! I have never had so much fun with a game in my life. The physics were fixed and whats best, is that I never ran into a glitch while playing the game. I love the selection of stages and bosses and the cut-scenes are well developed and put together! I also didn't plan on the game being SO hilarious! The gut-scenes while crack you up. The main story is short but the unlockables, and challenges will keep you playing the game for a VERY LONG time because there are so many of them! Another thing thats so good is that SEGA was fair to everyone and put every character into the game whether it was a scene, a challenge or a boss. So if your favorite character isn't Sonic your favorite character will still be in the game! Because of this masterpiece of a game, I am buying the 3ds version! GO SEGA
