gamestop puts 12/31/2011 because they dont know what day excactly it comes out. it doesnt mean its coming out then it just means they dont know. The game should come out at the end of april or the beging of may. The reason they keep pushing the reales date back because the game had lots of story mode problems and sony said to go back and fix it. Another reason it is pushed back is Sony said to take it bake and make the graphics better because xbox360 use dvds as a game disc, Sony uses blueray wich can hold more data,so sony said use that free space to upgrade the graphics, add exclusive content, and put the addons from pc, and xbox360 onto the game. I hope i answered a few questions and helped you guys understand whats goiing on because me personaly would rather have them to take there time and make it right. Than hurry up through the game out there and it be glitchy and full of bugs.

I just started playing this game last night, and i have to say that i really like it. It is a nice break away from the normal COD and Battlefield run and gunning. that being said, some of the shooting mechanics, mainly the assault rifles, feel a bit tacked on, rather than fully fleshed out, like the sniping. I love the slow placing, contrasted with short stints of heavy action, that this game brings to the table. The graphics are really good, but as with any game there are lackluster moments that degrade from the experience. The multiplayer is a lot of fun, IF you enjoy sniping. it would be a shock for a COD player to go from 30 to 40 kills a round to just 2 to 3 a round. but the tension that the game brings, hunting other fellow snipers across HUGE maps, it really is an awesome experience, but an experience that isn't without its flaws.

This game is a joke, seriously. The promise of realistic shooting drew me in at first, but when a down-hill supressed round from a MK.21 from >200 yards automatically sets off my position to the enemy while I'm prone with a bloody Ghillie suit, boy was I aggrivated. This game acts like it was specifically geared towards Call of Duty quickscopers, with quicker-than-ever ADS, and THROWING KNIVES (though, quite humorous when you throw one into the back of someone's head and they ragdoll forwards), and even a Melee option... I'm seriously considering this as being a gigantic blunder. Even if you enjoy quickscoping, this game probably isn't for you. The only thing this game lacks is regenerative health, for if it had that, this game might be the most appealing thing to Call of Duty kids since Modern Warfare 2's appearance of Slight of Hand pro.

The best parts about this game is that it simulates bullet drop(but of course there's a little red dot showing you where to aim anyway so it makes the bullet drop negligible) and the slow-mo head shot cutscenes. The ghillie suits are nice but considering it's only a jacket and hood I have to wonder about the realism. The weapons are decently reproduced but they aren't cammo'd out like a real sniper rifle would be- again with the realism. Multiplayer is moderately entertaining but obviously not fully considered during development; also not a lot of people play it. You could finish this game in a day if you had nothing better to do. All in all not a bad game, but there are better ones out there like Sniper Elite.

This game is well paced for the casual to hardcore gamer. As the levels pogress the complexity of the fighting increases. Though I am not a fan of timed challenges this is one game where it does not get to be overly frustrating as in other games I have played. Because it is a PS3 game the colors are just a little washed out. But the images are sharp and the frame rate is smoothe. The game never froze on me. . Another thing about this game I like is that the checkpoints are adequately spaced out . The game saves are automatic but it seems the save is a checkpoint earlier then I thought I had left off at. I cannot quite understand what is happening in that department.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Raven1197 Great Sniper Game
If you played any of the metal gear games and loved them, then you will more than likely love this game aswell.
It is a GREAT sniper game single player was AMAZING, multi is GREAT, but not a game for the hardcore COD fans that get 30 kills a game. The COD fanboys will hate it, where they just run and gun and quickscope instead of actually sniping. It is not unusual for a round to go with only 2 or 3 kills per person. The tension the game brings is unreal and makes it extremely fun, knowing everytime you walk, crouch, turn, fire; There could be another sniper waiting on the other side of the map waiting for you to make your mistake, while they zero in on the wind speeds and bullet drop from 300 meters away to make that perfect headshot and drop you like a rock.
Then when you get that perfect shot off and you drop that enemy sniper, you know that there are now 5 more scopes after you and you have to bail fast and get out of the line of sight but you dont want to make it too obvious for them while they gun you down on the run. The rush and tension the game brings to the table is great!
I first bought it for PC and loved it, got the LE for the PS3 and having a blast!
Granted the graphics aren't high end PS3 graphics but they are still pretty dang good.
Game is only for true snipers, not COD quick scopers and run and gunners.

remember the cod 4 mission all ghilled up? Well this game is a lot like that except much more detailed and difficult. There's no quickscopes or no scopes to be found here it's all one shot one kill sniping. You have to judge the wind and take your time to kill the target. It's also like metal gear solid trying to stay stealth and taking your time to get the lay of the land. If your one of those people who likes to run and gun..you'll die a lot. The online is okay. 6 on 6 sniper matches are highly intense and takes patience since there's very few kills. Again running and gunning will will get you no where but in the scope of another sniper.

I'm a ex-serviceman, I scored sharp-shooter & later expert when qualifying with the M-16A2. Some of us were challenged to score high on the firing range@ my last unit. All high scorers were invited to join the rifle team, which then compete against other rifle marksman teams & of course you win enough of these competitions, this could then lead to sniper school(seriously). Like one of the other guys explained in a earlier review, you other factors to consider,i.e. wind, glare from rifle barrel/muzzle & most importantly breathing when you hunt your target, this game should be real good & a challenge!

Don't listen to the bad reviews, the game is good, not perfect but good and will keep you entertained and playing for hours. I watched some gameplay and thought it looked pretty cool but when i saw the reviews i was a little reluctant but when a friend of mine kept telling me how good it was i decided to give it a try, very much worth it. I love all video games and I've played every single COD to date, no its not like COD at all but its a cool and a fun change of pace. All i have to say is i highly recommend this game so don't listen to the bad reviews.
