Product Details:

The sequel to Rebellion's highly-acclaimed 2005 game Sniper Elite, Sniper Elite V2 continues to offer gamers the most authentic World War II sniping experience by putting them in the middle of war-torn Berlin amidst the frenzied final battle between German and Russian forces. With an emphasis on learning to handle the anticipation and pressure of the hunt, players are forced to use skill, patience and cunning to achieve their missions as they find themselves facing life-altering choices. The celebrated "bullet cam" from Sniper Elite makes its return and will be more gratifying than ever. Skillful shots are rewarded with a slow-motion sequence of the bullet running its full trajectory from barrel to target as well as featuring graphic detail of the effects of the bullet entering and destroying a target.

  • Sniping Simulation - Sniper Elite V2 features detailed sniping simulation with advanced ballistics, taking into account gravity, wind, velocity, bullet penetration, aim stability and more. Guaranteed to provide players with the most realistic simulation of military sharpshooting yet available.
  • X-Ray Kill Cam - Amazing "kill cam" technology showcases what really happens when a bullet enters an enemy's body, allowing players to see hearts and lungs tear, livers burst, bones and teeth shatter and entrails fall out.
  • Authenticity - The game features authentic World War II Berlin locations as well as vehicles, weapons such as the Springfield M1903, the Gewehr 43 and the Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 and uniforms modeled after the original versions.
  • Use The Environment - The slightest changes in the environment need to be taken into account to move into the perfect position, observe the quarry, take the shot and slip away unnoticed.
  • Snipers Choice - Players will often find themselves facing a choice of the perfect shot that leaves them catastrophically exposed or a more difficult route that means they can continue their mission.
  • Multiplayer - Two Player Co-Op
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Sniper's Happy Place If you are like me, you take joy in picking off your opponents off from a distance. Sniper Elite V2 delivers. From the X-ray mechanics to the challenging scenarios, Sniper Elite V2 does what no other game does. My one complaint would be the A.I.'s rather static behavior which makes it difficult to shoot them at all at times, and not the good kind of of difficult. The difficult that hinders you from getting a decent shot off. Other than that, if you enjoy thee challenge of having to measure wind, bullet drop, and breath control when sniping this game is for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Game ok I have played Modern Warfare and Call of Duty but this one is different. I was not planning to buy this game til I saw the gameplay. the killcam is really cool. it shows to bullet hitting your enemy. the locations are pretty well done with that time. great game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If all you want is cool graphics, go for it. This game should be called Commando Elite due to the fact that more than half of the game it's like any other shooter. The only thing cool is the bullet impact cam which gets old quick. Want good checkpoints with your game? TOO BAD. It will drop you directly in front of enemies. I don't call that "challenging", I call it frustrating. Want to be a sniper and be able to hide and be ninja-like? TOO BAD. More than once enemies saw me through walls. That's right, walls. Want alternate paths to your target? TOO BAD. Want to throw a grenade quickly? TOO BAD. Want a secondary gun with a decent amount of ammo? TOO BAD. Want a decent silenced pistol with good aiming sights? TOO BAD. I could go on and on. Anyway, hopefully someone will make a sniper game one day that can rival Sniper: Ghost Warrior, because this game and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 have been very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A 2nd chance yields the same 1st impression Originally I played this on 360 and was disappointed with the results: the AI spikes, the cheap "hidden" soldiers, the compulsion to use alternate weapons, and other maladies in the game conspired for me to give it a 7 out of 10. So why try again on PS3, knowing the gameplay would probably be the same? Because the idea of being a sniper in WWII is so overwhelmingly COOL. I admit it, I missed the thrill of blasting baddies through the skull (in slo-mo!) and setting up that perfect shot. And the game does indeed provide that in spades, so much so that I selfishly wish that the slo-mo penetration shot would feature in other shooter game. But the same bugaboos are here, doggedly and wretchedly fouling the game. The mechanics of the game are fine, outside of the curious decision to map scoping and shooting to the bumpers rather than triggers AND not allowing you to alter the controller mapping. Every other shooter uses the triggers ... so why couldn't this one? Realistically the big problem I had with the game was the cheapness of it. The game - reference the title - is based on sniper play, which at its best allows you to stealthily and silently dispatch the enemy from distance. So it is quizzical that some checkpoints can only be triggered when you approach within a certain proximity of the enemy, which is often just a few feet, rendering your sniper rifle useless. And when you get into run and gun with this game you lose quickly. Which I guess is a rather sadistically reinforced point. So why not just let us snipe? Besides that complaint, a bit more open play would be nice, as the missions are very rigidly structured and allow for almost no independent thought or alternate approaches. The game still has merits, mainly blasting things with the slo-mo replay, so pick it up if you are up for 15-20 hours of body-exploding assassinator action.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good, Well Crafted, Needs a Series! This game is definitely a great buy! There is a lot of strategy and stealth involved during the campaign and the A.I. is pretty good! No A.I. is perfect, but they have pushed it to the limit. They will chase you down further than you would expect, meaning where you think you can hide from them if you alert them, you can't! They place snipers in very discrete, but realistic places. If you die on a mission, when you restart at the checkpoint, the enemy count and locations will be different 90% of the time (there are some points in the game where it makes sense for them to start out where they were last time, i.e. snipers, or guys guarding something...) This game is 100 times better than Sniper Ghost Warrior seires, simply because of the graphics, and not to mention the gameplay. The storyline is easy to follow and well written. The missions aren't easy and they are not short. Depending on how much time you have to play will determine how long it would take you to beat it. Regular 2-3 hours of play for 5-7 days straight should be the finishing time. But it varies... They have a wondferful co-op for campaign and the multiplayer is pretty decent. You can actually customize a server and do party play. You have grenades, trip mines, land mines, and three diffent firearm types at your disposal as well as stealth killing. I do think they have the ARs a little weak, but they are 1940's weapons, and this is primarily a sniping game. With that being said, and the minor learning curve for the mulitplayer (which game doesn't have one, really), that's the reason I give it a 9.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad play I found this game to have a decent pace for the casual gamer. The kill cam is nice but could be better. The first mission was a bit dull and more like a tutorial for the rest of the missions but they were better after that mission. It is fun enough to draw you in and keep playing but beatable in single play in a day. Overall not bad for the casual gamer. I will look for more in this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Xray shots ROCK This game is fun to replay over and over just to see what kind of shots you can get. The storymode felt just a little short but that might have been because I played it a ton after getting it. The shooting sounds and the sounds of the bullet going through someones helmet and ripping through there head open are just amazing. The levels look really good the graphics are really good. The multiplayer is lots of fun when you can get a match too(not a lot of people play mutliplayer). If you get this game i recommend getting the kill hitler, neudorf outpost, and weapons dlc too add to the game.
