Product Details:

SKATE's unique control scheme captures the true feel of skating versus the typical button mashing gameplay of past skating games. Skate delivers the real feel of skating in a fully reactive skateboarding city, utilizing the power of the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles for advanced new control and physics techniques to feel through every kick-flip and land every aerial. The game features professional skaters such as Danny Way and PJ Ladd. Skate's unique control scheme captures the true feel of skating -- with physics-driven animations, gamers will have a unique gaming experience every time they pick up the controller since no two tricks will ever be the same.

Skate is the closest thing to skateboarding without actually putting your feet on a board. With innovative controls that take advantage of the dual analog sticks, the power of the next gen hardware, and the ability to sculpt tricks that define your own style, skate delivers an authentic boarding mecca like no other videogame. Individual style combined with physics-driven animations promise that no two tricks will ever be the same. And there's plenty of room to pull off those tricks - San Vanelona challenges you to explore, find, and own the best spots. You can even capture footage to create and show off your style with friends across the world - because without footage, it's fiction. Get ready for all the fun, creativity and culture of skateboarding without the hours of practice, broken bones, and hospital visits.
  • Flickit - The days of button mashing are over. The intuitive Flickit dual analog control lets you perform skill-based tricks that capture the real-world feel and true attitude of skating.
  • Define Your Style of Skating - Create your own style and personality with animation and physics that give you the freedom to decide how your skater looks, feels, and rides. Get creative as you develop your own tricks and string them together to create lines.
  • Without Footage, It's Fiction - Capture your sickest moves in game and take them online to share.
  • Using innovative online editing tools, add music and personal live-action footage to create the ultimate skate vid.
  • Create Your Own Story - Create and define your own story. Become famous and generate mainstream hype with media coverage or go the infamous route by owning spots and building street cred.
  • Make San Vanelona Your Playground - Mess with security guards, navigate through traffic, and get chased or impress the citizens in this fully reactive city. San Vanelona is the ultimate skate mecca where you can ride with pros, visit skate shops, and discover spots to own and make yours.
  • Roll with the Pros - skate features professional legends and upcoming pros including Danny Way, Mark Gonzales, Rob Dyrdek, Mike Carroll, P.J. Ladd, Chris Cole, Jason Dill, Pat Duffy, Jerry Hsu, Paul Rodriguez, and Dennis Busenitz.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nostalgia Lots of memories playing this outstanding title. It blew me away by being way ahead of its time. A truly realistic and representative skating sim experience that gives hardcore skate fans and novices alike to see the appeal. Great graphics, awesome core gameplay, a game I can never put down years later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its AWSOME DUDE!!!!!!!! This game rocks. But I wish it had blood like Tony Hawk. I play with my friends. Another thing is that you can't do 2 player on freestyle. So, we have to play hall of meat of S.K.A.T.E. Any way, its cool how you can do alot of tricks to do either on the ground or in the air. I would totally recommend this to a friend. Get this game for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This is one of the best games ever. It is so addicting and fun. You can also upload photos and videos of you doing tricks on the game to the community on skate. I recommend this game to everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent, But Could Use Some Work Originally when I bought this game, I was worried about the control scheme being analog only, and at first, I hated this game. After working with it for a day or two, I warmed up to it and it turned out to be a decent title. A few things that could be worked on are: controls, if it had a normal "Tony Hawk" style control, it might get a higher rating in my book, and a better storyline, because it was very stale and hard to follow. In total i'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the top 5 games EVER, in my opinion! Amazing, it cant get any better than this! It may have a few glitches and graphic problems but a great game! You get to use the new flickit system which makes it easier to control. Another good thing is the crashes, you can jump off of the parkade 4 stories up, its hilarious! The best part, they screwed tony hawk! Finally, a game without him! Thank you EA:D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one of the best games I have This game is amazing I spent maybe the first 2-3 days just getting over the fact that you can go anywhere you want. Plus the falling like a rag doll part but after that, the story is awesome. Being able to pick your own sponsors is just so cool. The only bad thing about this game (which so far Im pretty sure they're going to fix in the second one) is the lack of speed. Unless you're going down a very steep hill you dont get much speed. The second is not getting off you board. Which they are fixing. And character customization is kinda week. One thing I noticed is that there's only music when your in good spots to skate so if your in the middle of some lame part of the city it takes a while to get to a good place to hear music and do tricks. Even though there are some things about this game that could be greatly improved its still a one of a kind game and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for an addicting and fun game.
