Saints Row The Third is a well crafted return to the world of the Saints. The storyline, as always with Saints games, is merely a distraction from the great fun you can have terrorizing Steel Port and its gangs. The best mission has to be the comical recreation of Tron into a foul-mouthed murder-spree that has the main character appear as a toilet with an energy cannon. The overall quality of both graphics and sound has improved but still has much to be gained compared to most 3rd generation games. The ability to customize aspects of the game has been severely diminished compared to Saints Row 2, and the melee combat system is not as dynamic as it used to be. These facts do little to detract from the great fun and shenanigans. The co-op system is still very good, and the added "Whored" mode is very entertaining. What this game lacks in a serious story, it well makes up for with gameplay. Overall, Saints Row The Third should provide all with a hilarious distraction from so much seriousness.

This game is great. Its a perfect mix of humor and violence. My first impression towards this game was a lil shaky cause i thought it was gonna be more goofy than serious but it quickly change my mind. same as saints 2 you gotta rebuild your mighty empire from nothing. The customization weather it be car or person is alot better. Which is cool cause it was hard to find a cool outfit for a girl in saints 2. you'll probably sink about 20+ hours in a single play through and this game is hard to put down once you start playing. The co-op is the same jump in jump out which i really like. The only problem is finding people to play with without messing up your game due to the fact 80% of players online have cheat codes active, If you have or your gonna get this game and your cheat free and want someone to play with add me im always looking for a friend to play with, as long as you don't mind getting shown up by a girl. my psn id is sundazzle. I hope you give this game a chance, i promise it'll be worth you time.

Bought the game based on a recommendation from a Gamestop employee. It was hilarious how you start the game with a no face character and start to make your own. The purple bat (not allowing me to use the word) was hilarious, the game is very up beat, love how you just jump through the windshield when stealing a car. I finished this game twice, put it away and just started playing again after 3 months. The only complaint I have is that the cars are WAY too arcade. Feels like I'm playing Outrun whenever I'm driving, but the rest of the game makes up for it really well. Once you customize the character, you're not stuck with it, you can do plastic surgery and change their looks at any time. The dual pistols with exploding bullets is my favorite weapon. I didn't know you can call for backup until the 2nd time I played. Hottest character in the game would have to be that Nerd girl and Viola. Love how you can just jump off the helipad instead of normally exiting the buildings. Very fun and has much replay value.

Where to begin? I don't believe there has ever been such an insane game. The customization is incredible as is the hilarity of it all. Saints Row starts with a bank robbery yet this is only scratching the surface of the things you do in this game. The thing that really stood out to me was the customization. For example you can change the tires rims colors and glass on any vehicle in Steelport if you bring it back to the shop. You can also upgrade/change guns, yourself, and your gang as you rise to the top. The story isn't bad either. You start off in the city with nothing and gradually you begin to take over by completing story missions and also doing optional things such as buying up properties, completing challenges, and protecting your gang with a helicopter. All in all it took me about 30 hours to take over every island. The action is pretty great. You can unleash total chaos with a number of guns and vehicles. Graphics are also good, but nothing great. There is a reason this game is rated M, the missions and people are absolutely insane which is a good thing.
Rated 8 out of 10 by LynnT Not serious but very entertaining
Saints Row the Third is not a knock-off of GTA but stands on it's own. Playing a gang leader trying to take back your city is fun. The customization level of the game is insane, you can literally spend an hour just making your character and then seeing them come to life in the game is thrilling. You play the campaign and there are many side missions that will keep you blowing things up for hours. The game controls are a little sticky and takes some getting use to, back after the initial missions of falling through debris from a plane, taking back your penthouse, and setting up your gang, you're ready and willing to take over the entire city. Voice acting is pretty decent and has it's funny scenes that made me laugh out loud. All in all, Saints Row the Third is entertaining and enjoyable. Gameplay can last along time if you want 100% completion and replay value is high as no two games will ever be alike.
Rated 10 out of 10 by LPrulez54 Simply put, an amazing game.
Now, I know a lot of people swear by the Grand Theft Auto franchise, myself included, but don't let that keep you away from one of the best open-world experiences available. Giant purple...toys..?, can be entertaining, but this game is so much more than that. Tight controls, fast and fun driving, combat that is over the top but still requires a decent amount of strategy, and a story to win them all make this game a must buy for any sandbox fan. The customization and upgrade system give this game an almost RPG-level depth that is second to none. No two games will be exactly alike including customization, upgrades and skills, and the choices the player makes throughout the story, all making huge differences almost demanding a second, third, or fourth playthrough just to see everything. This is the Skyrim of crime games right now, and is not to be missed. Though, I have to admit my one gripe. the complete lack of multiplayer is disappointing. Though more importantly, I bought the game used, excluding me from co-op due to an activation code. Thought that was EA's area of expertise?
Rated 9 out of 10 by crackedcd great.... BUT
when i first got this game i was thinking about wasting for GTA V because i saw the trailer for it. i had money and was going to get assassins creed revelations but said nah i have brotherhood. so i bought this and put it in and had an AMAZING time. this game will make you laugh and i am a serious person, well worth 60 bucks PLUS!! you get saints row 2 from the PSN store. So its good BUT!!! nobody plays online and if they do they want to mess around. this game is only for story mode not much online or messing around. it also has a survival mode which could be alot better. this game could improve on SOOOOO many levels but instead they wanted single player which it does an amazing job. i recomend if your one of the people who go 100% completion on a game and dont get it if you just play for the fun. if you want online keep your GTA IV because that has waaaaaay more lasting appeal FOR ONLINE

I love this game so much, its hilarious, the characters are great, the gameplay is fun,..... but the glitches. Oh my gosh, the glitches in this game are extremely frustrating!!!! There were many occurrences where I would get stuck inside buildings in the middle of a hard mission. I would have to restart, and jeez it was terrible. The worst glitch of all is the one I experienced at the end. ******SPOILER****** when you have the chance to kill Killbane or save Shaundi, either one i pick it takes about 45 minutes to load and when it does, the screen is white and COMPLETELY glitched. I cleaned my disk, deleted my saves, and NOTHING would work. (One more thing, the cover system is terrible. ) Besides these, Great Game!!!
