Good ideas broken game
I reserved this game about 8 months ago and i have been anxiously awaiting the release. After hearing that the game was going to be delayed, i thought maybe the makers needed more time to sweeten up the game, and that made my anticipation grow. Fast forward to yesterday when i put the disk in my PS3 and the game started.......I was without words. This game looks very dated the controls lag. You can't aim your gun to save your life. The AI are totally ignorant, which is probably good since it takes 5 minutes to put your crosshairs on anyone. I am just sick inside because i waited this long and paid full price for the worse game I have ever played. The only highlight of this game is the cutscene meele kills. The coolist thing about this game is the cover that the disk came in. There should be some minimum standard that a game must meet before being released to the public. This game is broken, non playable,un-fun,boring and i am mad that i spent money on this. No wonder there wasn't much footage of this game before it was released. You are now informed.
Be The Hunter
Rogue Warrior is not that bad. I had a blast playing it. I know how everyone says "Rogue Warrior has horrible graphics and it is so stupid, unrealistic..." Really? The graphics are awesome. The textures and the scenery can be a bit bland, but they look so real that you want to reach out and touch them. It is true that most of the enemies look exactly the same but that does not take away from the fun. I mean the enemies in Assassins Creed 1 and 2 look exactly the same at parts and did anyone complain? Nooooooo. The storyline is really weak. Basically it is this: Missiles. Stop them. It sounds fantastic. Every gun has a different sound. And who doesn't like to hear swear word after swear word after swear word? Rogue Warrior swears so much, but some things that he says are really funny. The controls are easy to learn, but they are unresponsive at parts. If too much is going on at one time, a kill move that you want to do might not work. And speaking of kill moves, they are the best part of the game. Sure shooting your enemies down is fun, but sneaking up on them and stabbing in the ribs is more fun. You can perform a kill move by pressing the X button. And when you do that one of many kill moves are performed. But you don't have to be behind someone to do a kill move. Oh no, you be beside them or in front of them. If you are beside them you can stab them in the face and if you are in front perform of them you can hold their gun up to their face and BAM! There are also environmental kill moves to perform. For example: if someone is looking out the window you just might have to smash their face into it. Or if someone is near a ledge you just might throw them off. But sometimes the A.I. is not at all smart and they will not hear their own team screaming after you just smashed their face into a table. But again, it did not take away the fun of the game. This game can be very easy in the first couple levels, but in the later levels they can get pretty hard. And this game only has 8 levels. This game took me 2 days to beat on normal. On easy it will take you 1 day and on hard it will take you about 3. And one more time, I did not care about the length because it did not take away the fun. This game also has online. But nobody ever plays it. The online is very fun and you can perform kill moves on people which is the best part. There is no reason why you should not get this game. Sure it is a little expensive but it is worth it. Rogue Warrior is basically Call Of Duty. Many people don't like this game because of the graphics and the dumb A.I. but people are missing the point. The game is supposed to be a stealth game. And just because a game has bad graphics does not mean is deserves a 1 out of 10. Remember 007 Nightfire for the PS2? That game had bad graphics, glitches, bad A.I. and all of the guns felt the same. But it was a great game. It does not matter what the graphics look like or how the A.I is as long as your having fun. Rogue Warrior is a great game that should not be missed and I say that you should go get it.
Being a great fan of the rogue warrior books I highly anticipated the release of this game. The previews all stated that their would be a tile system in place for the multiplayer (what a great idea I thought). Finally a game I could sink my teeth into. Oh I want to sink my teeth into it alright, then spit it in the garbage. Rogue Warrior not only fails to deliver on any of the supposed features but fails to even deliver a enjoyable experience for a gamer. The single player campaign is so short (about 2 hours) that renting it even seems to be a rip-off. Graphics are 2nd generation, controls are quirky and difficult and the multiplayer that was promised is whittled down to 2 types of matches (deathmatch and team deathmatch) with absolutely no control over map selection if you play a ranked match. Save your money on this one gamers.
Huge Let Down
Like many others, the fact that this game has been pushed back again and again made it seem like this game was gonna be worth the wait, especially bein' a Bethesda title. Before the first cut scene at the start of the game was over, I was tempted to turn it off. The graphics look like the PS2 could've outdone them. When I started playing, you seem to just glide around the level knifing people from behind, and the AI seems to ALWAYS be looking conveniently away, making for an easy kill almost everytime. (The AI seem to be deaf because they can't even hear you sprinting right at them.) Then suddenly the game throws a sloppy barrage of enemies your way and the first time you get shot, you're dead. With as stupid as the AI seems, they sure have dead on aim. The weapons are all mediocre at best, and hardly accurate. (Even the SPAS 12 in the game is apparently magazine fed, as are all the other weapons. The aiming for them is way to wacky for efficiency, and throwing a grenade where you want it is near impossible, as he seems to Bret Farve every one of them. The voice-acting is cheesy at best, and gratuitous vulgarities are a little distracting and always out of place. (Every time a bullet hits you, he swears up a storm.)The checkpoint system is so messed up, I found myself resuming from a checkpoint in between two already firing enemies, so I had to start the entire level over because every time I respawned, I immediately died. After that happened a few times, the game finally froze anyway.Would I recommend this game? Uh...rent it if you're curious, but otherwise laugh at someone else when they buy it.
Rogue Warrior was one of the greatest shooting games that i ever played. The kills moves were amazing, some lines were funny, the graphics are just as good as cod mw 2, though it may be short it was still awesome
This isn't a game
A game is something that you're supposed to enjoy, and I did not enjoy this sad excuse for entertainment at all. The data disc (game, which it pains me to call it that) lasts about an hour and 20 mins, and is completely broken. I would never in my right or not right mind recommend this to even a dog to play fetch with.
Waist of Time
When I first bought this, I was excited at first because it seemed like it would be an interesting plot but not at all. The plot was very dry and the whole "one man army" thing is so overrated. Throughout the game all you did was shoot people and it had no interesting qualities. Plus you couldn't kill one person without unnecessary cursing. I thought the kill moves in the game were pretty cool but that's it. Don't bother spending money on this game.
Hey guys, spend it on something worth it!
Now, when I saw this, I thought, "HECK YES!!! Finally a game that lets you become the eyes of great SEAL, Dick Marcino. I bought it and was utterly fooled. Now, there were a few plusses to this game. Mickey Rourke, one of the best voiceovers I've ever heard. Kill moves, alright I guess. Now lets look at the other side of the coin. Horrible graphics, bad controls, and everything in between. This game, if you want to call it that, is nothing but a slew of profanity and horrible graphics. Buy something else, something that you won't want to throw at the wall repeatedly....
The game will run on the new and improved unreal engine 3 (the engine that will run the 2nd gears of war) so the graphics will be amazing. If the graphics are already amazing on gears of war 1, then I don’t think you have to worry about the graphics on this game. BUT gameplay is the most important thing to me behind graphics. I can’t tell you much about the gameplay or if its 1st person or 3rd person, because there are no videos or trailers or nothing, just a couple of screenshots. I love tactical shooters Ex: rainbow 6 & gears of war. So I’ll love this game. Yes I have both ps3 and 360 if you were wondering.
Waist of time and money
Terrible game, horrible language, and a huge waist of your time and money
