Rated 4 out of 5 by from good the graphics are ok, and the racing is great, but this shows that it was a launch game, by not being the most fair game. but with the various challenges, this is a game worth trying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still the best arcade racer on PS3 Like every entry in the series, "Ridge Racer 7" is an arcade racer...meaning that the physics are not going to be as realistic as "Gran Turismo 5" or "Forza 3". Essentially, what you get here is unlicensed, high-speed bumper cars with a heavy emphasis on drift-based mechanics. If you can get over that hurdle, you'll find that this game holds up incredibly well for a PS3 launch title. The graphics are still quite impressive (up to 1080p), the controls are spot-on once you get the hang of them, the electronic music is a satisfying departure from the same old pop-rock, and there's plenty of tracks and unlockables. That said, I know "Ridge Racer 7" won't appeal to everyone. If you're looking for a true racing sim, go with "Gran Turismo 5" instead...but if you're the kind of person that appreciates the arcade experience of yesteryear, you can't go wrong with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good Ok, let me start with the sound, which is a 10/10 easy. The quality is great, and there are a ton of soundtracks to choose from. Not only that, but there is also more songs to download on psn. The graphics are stunning, especially considering this was a ps3 launch game. the gameplay is fast paced, with a heavy emphasis on drifting. Theres plenty of cars to unlock, and fairly deep cusomization options for cars. You can cosumize everything from paint jobs and body kits, all the way down to tires and nitrous. There are dozens of engine plugings to unlock and use. On top of that, there are alot of tracks to chose from. I'm not sure how many exactly, but its more than twelve including the same tracks playable in reverse. There are other special events you can play for extra credits (some are free, some are paid DLC) The main singleplayer career is extremely long with a variety of different and challenging events to keep you busy, youll never get bored ( I STILL havent beat the game..... I've had it since launch), and online is helllla fun. I love this game and I think you will too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game Do not listen to the terrible review posted before mine. This game was truly amazing both game play wise and graphically. Considering this was one of the first racing games on the ps3, it still holds up to all the others on the system years later. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Rated 1 out of 5 by from i spent money on this i played this game with my new gt steering wheel and when i would take a turn it would always freeze and i hated that so much. Also when i was drifting someone, it made my car flip over and when i overpasses him my car froze. i played at my friends house, and it was a bit better, it was my cd that was bad, but i still wouldt want to get this game. I rather get Need fro speed undercover or need for speed carbon. Those games are totally better then this one. They have style that makes me want to keep plaing it, or until i finished the game. After the cd was bad, i went to gamestop and returned it and told them why and everything. They gave me a new one and i played it, still not worth it. Dont spend ** dollars on this game, maybe ** if you ask me
