Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Special Edition
Psycked for this RE game!
I've been a fan of Resident Evil from the beginning, got a little turned off when the zombies were taken away in RE4 and 5. So glad they brought them back and can't wait to annihilate them along with other opposing teammates! Love the fact that you could possibly change the Resident Evil series for good with killing important plot members. Add me to play when the game is released PSN: Pun1sh3r_P41n.

Resident Evil: Regret
To date, this is the only game I have ever regretted buying. As an elite team of the U.S.S. you feel helpless as you battle moronic A.I. (friendly and enemy), recycled locations, terrible sound design, and overall lack of excitement. There's hardly a story to hold the game together. The characters are forgettable. The graphics are barely to standard. Your guns sound like plastic toys. Your melee weapon is about as effective as a butter knife. And the only redeeming factor is co-operative gameplay. Unfortunately, the game has sold so poorly, you have a hard time find quality players to team up with. The competitive multiplayer is weighed down by the chaotic nature of itself. You play with not only other online players, but also an unlimited number of zombies. Some may find it appealing, I found it distracting. Overall, Slant Six did a terrible injustice to a fantastic game concept. Only the most desperate of Resident Evil fan should buy,
only hardcore resident evil fans shoud get
first lets get the good stuff: it has good looking cutsenes (but not RE 5 good).and this has "some" good multiplayer modes like heroes mode. and thats all the good things. now lets talk about the bad things: first your AI partners in the single player are the dummest AI I seen in a game (they are worst than Sheva from resident evil 5) (for ex: I was suppost to plant 3 bombs on three generators to turn off the power in the city. while you do that you have to fight spec ops soldiers. but your AI parter will run up to them and get themselves killed. next thecampain is both boring and confused at the same time. also evrey location in the game is just to boring to have enjoyent. also there is differnet hit amount until it dies (for example you can shoot a entire clip at a licker and not even effect it and another licker i shot at died with a few bullets. funaaly most of the multiplayer modes are just boring and felt tacked on. i hope you keep this review in mind when you decide to buy this game and hope you save your money for resident evil 6
It's Alright but Not What I was Hoping For!
The game plays well I found very few problems with it other than the AI and short story mode which was seven missions (the Spec Ops Story mode will be released in april) the multiplayer seemed to have many glitches and at time it wouldn't find a game and when I decided to cancel the search it wasn't doing so it would be frozen, this would result into me quitting the game just to go back to the main menu but when I did that it would reset my PS3 and would sign me out of my account. guns do little damage at times and sometime feel like they are over powered. The story was short but it was still pretty good (wish there were more missions) and the benefit to playing that part of the game was that you earn more XP for weapons and abilities. The game in my opinion was decent but some may beg to differ and say it sucks or it's really great and I can't tell you it's good or bad because it's one of those games where you decide on your own.
Taking the series back to basic, with upgrades!
The bad reviews thus far must be from people who started the series at Resident Evil 4 and 5. Sorry folks, but this one is more for the guys who have stuck around since the original.
That said, this was definitely a grand return to Survival Horror roots with the series. I have gotten tired of the parasite-infested ganados/majini that capcom has handed us the last few incarnations. I wanted a good ol' fashioned zombie game that I'd feel my heart racing when I got into a pinch, and Op: Raccoon City did just that. Facing off with not one but two tyrants at one point had my blood pumping with each round I fired off. Granted, the old games the controls were TANK style instead of R&G like this, but it's something that die-hards of the series had been asking for for sometime now.
The addition of the Spec Ops to the fray makes for an interesting look into what happened while our now-famous heroes tackled the situation themselves. Can't wait until the Spec Ops pack comes out this month to play the other side of the story.
Pick it up, ignore the bad reviews. It's well worth it.
