This game in my opinion is repetetive, and after a while it gets boring, the blood and gore is amazing, the new creatures and weapons are fun, but this game is not a play again game this game to me is a game to play every then and again to mix things up, the story is intresting but you run all over the map doing so many things that do not add up to the story in my opinion. so I would recommend the game as being fun, but not for the price of 20+ dollars.

So why should you get this you ask, well it is an extension of an excellent game and it puts a zombie/funny twist on it. This is a definite buy/download if you were a fan of the Red Dead Redemption game. There are some old characters and some new ones. I loved the idea of the undead horses, each one had its strengths and a couple of new guns that when I shot a zombie it would just make me laugh... I did notice that at certain points during this game when you were trying to skin an animal or search a dead body that the game wasn't as responsive at times, it would take me a little running around the body before it would let me search or skin, but that is a minor flaw. If you want to finish the series or if you are in between games and want something new without spending 60 bucks then you should pick this one up, oh and you get to kill zombies (includes people and animals).
Rated 10 out of 10 by D4RKJ3SS Pretty Cool!...But I would buy a PSN Card
pretty cool that Undead Nightmare is on a disc, but I recommend you buy a PSN card and download the add-on for your Red Dead Redemption Game, you'll only pay 20$ to buy and download the Undead Nightmare add-on or even less if you join Playstation Plus, and you don't have to swap disc between Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, once you download the add-on for Red Dead Redemption it gives you the option to select which game you want to play:Red Dead Redemption or Undead Nightmare, but make sure you've been updating ur copy of Red Dead Redemption otherwise it won't work, overall the disc version is great for ppl who don't have Red Dead Redemption or have'nt downloaded the Undead Nightmare add-on for their game and just want to play without having to wait for the download to finish.
Rated 0 out of 10 by albertoa76 This is too far late from release
Although I dislike digital downloads because of lack of resell ability, I havent been interested in the other DLCs for RDR as they are multiplayer releases. 1.Legends and Killers (Multiplayer 08/2010) 2. Liars and Cheats (Multiplayer 09/2010) and now 3. Undead Nightmare (New SIngle Player Campaign 10/2010). I have not been playing RDR online, but the Undead Nightmare sounds good as an added single player campaign. There is no way I'd wait until Dec to buy these 3 DLCs on a disk for $30! Each one is $9.99 as DLC content and the only one I truly want is Undead Nightmare. You guys might need to price this at $19.99 because anyone who would want the DLCs on it likely already has them or isnt planning on getting them.
Rated 10 out of 10 by LordJonas Lots of cheese but it's awesome!
Rockstars humor peaks through lots in the undead expansion.
From the moment it starts it feels like you're in an old black and white horror b-movie you'd see late night halloween but in color . The ridiculousness doesn't stop there either. The jokes and antics are not to be taken completely seriously.
The zombies however will EAT YOU. So kill them! kill them all!!! before they kill you.
No really it's whacky but it's a fun game to play. The cheese is done right because that b movie feel fits perfect with the western feel.
If you love zombies you'll also appreciate how eerie packs of zombies look with morning rays shining through the top of their heads.
OH AND ZOMBIE BEARS! DON'T FORGET ABOUT THEM!
Rated 10 out of 10 by MasterLink undead nightmare is great
if you liked red dead redemption you'll like this. killing zombies is fun in this game. you'll play as john marston again. he'll walk into his house thinking everything is going to be alright but you'll find out john is wrong. i've played this non stop. the only problem is you can't take transportation like the taxi service in rdr and there's no shops so getting ammo and guns comes by saving towns doing challenges. this isn't a let down at all. the graphics are good same as rdr. controls are great as well. the sound is nice at random times music plays. don't get fooled by the beginning since it starts easy it'll get hard. the addictive game play will pull you back in.
Rated 8 out of 10 Pretty Awesome
This game has awesome graphics, being a professional horseback rider I can say I am very impressed with the movements of the horse. It can be difficult to animate the gates of the horse but they nailed it. I hate the lack of music though, but I guess the lack of music might add to the drama of the game. That being said sound effects are great though. One thing that impresses me is that there is so much to do rather than the actual story. I also like how you can find the zombies or "plagued people" randomly out across the prairie. The landscape is beautiful but the story line doesn't really interest me like the original, but this is overall a great game.

Everything about this game; from the graphics to the gameplay, is astounding. You don't have to like zombies to play this game, because I feel anyone will like this game for numerous reasons. I feel that this game is the biggest bang for your buck out there right now. You don't need the first one to play this game. Just pop it in and you have over 8 1/2 hours of game play for an amazing price. I really enjoy the myhical creaturs in this game. It really makes for a different expeirence. Online is great too. Fun modes that will entertain you for awhile, but Single Player is where its at. All in all a great addition to your PS3 game library.

I decided to give this game a try one day after all the good things I've heard about it. I got it at my local GameStop pre-owned for only 12 dollars and when I got home to try the game I was immediately surprised at how good the game was. The story is very interesting but very short since it is based on a dlc for red dead redemption. The graphics are good for a game made at this time and the gameplay is very fun and interesting. The online mode is the same as the regular red dead redemption free roam online and other modes and many people still play. Overall I recommend this game.

I never played the original game, but it looked sorta fun. I bought this because it was a bit cheaper than the original Red Dead Redemption. The game is incredible, the map, especially the graphics, and gameplay were so good. I played it for about four hours and got stuck. Im not saying its bad, but there isnt really much to do in it. There are so many Zombies and barely any humans. I still wanna get the Original to understand the story and characters. The Undead nightmare isnt bad, but the whole thing on killing Zombies all day just bores me. Still a really good game.
