Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition
Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition is fun. It's like the GTA series, but u ride horses and it's in the cowboy era.
My favorite game
It's so fun. You can do almost anything you want, bounty hunting, animal hunting, scare people, hogtie someone and put them on train tracks so the train can run over them, go on a killing rampage and get a pardon letter, and ride a horse. Get this game.
This game is AMAZING!!!
From the first scene when you see some characters in the game you know rock star put a lot of work in this game. The game is about a very likable man, name John Marston. John use to be part of a gang, but after getting married and settling down he tries to turn his life around, But to his to his knowing he is black mailed by the government to help take down his former gang. Through this you meet many memorable characters who are funny, weird and some just plain strange, The game has so much to do from doing the main story mission to like 30 side missions, goals challenges mini games and treasure maps. There is so much to do after beating the story which takes about 25-30 hours. I think I have abour 70 hours on it now and I almost have it 100 complete. Graphics are great. Story is one of the best ive seen. I have played and own over 40 games and this is by far my favorite. If you love games this is a must play.
If you haven't played this game yet you should get this. It has all the extras and the game alone is amazing. Online missions are extremely fun as well as a multiplayer free roam option where you and others can do pretty much anything.
I didn't get the opportunity to play Red Dead Redemption just after it came out, but it turns out it was a good thing to wait because then this Game of the Year edition came out containing all the DLC and extra episodes. My wife got me this for Christmas 2011...I am still playing it as I write this review! I believe I am drawing near to the end though. The only real frustration I had with this game is that occasionally it glitched out and it screwed me up on a couple of things...but that was really only like once in a while. It didn't do that often. Beyond that ever so minor little hiccup, the game was amazing! The storyline of the game is a very satisfying length and there is so many other side missions and extra things you can do that this game can potentially last you quite a while. My wife was happy about that too, because I often play through a lot of games within anywhere between a week to 2 weeks or less, depending on the length, but I have been working on this one for near 3 weeks now and still playing. Money-wise, this game is more than worth while in that department. As far as game play, this game is exceptional...I have been having so much fun playing it, and due to all that can be done within this game, you can't help but want it to keep going because it's so enjoyable! I can't tell you how many hours I've spent on the side of the story just on extra things...especially stuff like the hunting and going after bounties & such. There are all kinds of engaging side missions, such as bounties and clearing places of bandits & helping lawmen in firefights & such...as well as helping people in need. There are also fun games you can play on the side like poker & blackjack, liars dice, horseshoes, liars dice, etc. With such a great story, fun open world game play, great graphics, and all the cool different things you can do, Red Dead Redemption is an essential game for any action/adventure gamer! If you have never played it, go pick it up! You won't regret it!
Best Game of 2010. And maybe the Century.
I just picked this game up yesterday and its the richest, most addictive experience I've ever played. The gameplay runs smoothly, and the graphics are superb for a 2010 game. The game has tons of characters and a huge, expansive wild west environment to explore. Although I am still playing the game, so far I am heavily enjoying the missions involving Irish as well as Nigel West Dickens. The story follows John Marston, a reformed outlaw trying to go straight and stop his fellow gang members from causing havoc. From there, you are left in a huge, world where you take upon missions, and further unravel Marston's crazed story. And let me tell you, the game does this fantastically. All in all, RDR's campaign I give a 10/10. I know once I finish it, I'll be replaying this a lot because of it's characters and environment. As for the multiplayer experience, is fun as well. I haven't had too much time to explore multiplayer since I've been playing campaign for the most part. I am currently only on level 5 of multiplayer, but so far, its pretty fun apart from as few bugs. I feel as if this game's multiplayer deserves a 9.5/10, still a very fun package just its just nowhere near as compelling as the story mode. I still play it though, it sure beats almost every other shooter in the market. As for the Game of the Year edition, also comes with a DLC called Undead Nightmare. I played through some of it, and its more goofy than scary seeing RDR's characters in a post-apocalyptic zombie environment. Is it just me or when Nigel West Dickens is trying to persuade people to buy a "cure for the undead", am I the only one who grinned. The gameplay is basically the same as RDR, but the story is nowhere near as good. But that's the point, the add-on is supposed to be a cheesy B horror flick and it totally succeeds at doing that. And did I mention zombie bears? What could be better 10/10. So because of this game's amazing replayability level, amazing graphics, expansive sandbox environment, and rich characters. And let's not forget the great customizable multiplayer experience, and zombies. This edition deserves a 10/10 for sure.
One of my favorite games
This games is my favorite ever! With this including the game undead nightmare and all the other dlc for one price this is a must get and to keep in your collection
I want this baby!
I have the original RDR and is a fantastic game i loved both the single-player campaing and the multiplayer!!. I dont have the DLC except for the free packs so i will buy this great GOTY edition with all the DLC included!!
One Of The Best Sand Box Games Out There
Despite not being quite wat I expected this game did offer some pretty satisfying gameplay. It does get boring some of the time and the Online is also not as great as I thought it'd be. Never the less the GOTY edition is a great deal and most of the DLC are worth it, Most especially Undead Nightmare. So if you waited until now to buy RDR your patience was well rewarded. I only wish I had waited until the GOTY edition came out b4 buying RDR. It's pretty much a Western GTA but has it's own flow to it as well. I wouldn't recommend this game to everyone as it's simply not for everyone. Many ppl will prob find it boring and wish they never wasted their money on it. But if your a big fan of western movies or just western era games you will deff find something your'll like about this game. All in all Great game but certainly not the Greatest game.
This game is one of my favorite games of all time. The story is told in very great detail the voice acting is amazing it really feels like your in the wild wild west the multiplayer is very fun in my opinion especally with undead nightmare this game has great lasting appeal ive been playing it since it came out and im still not board Rockstar your amazing
