Rated 10 out of 10 by TheBigBoys This game is AMAZING!!!
From the first scene when you see some characters in the game you know rock star put a lot of work in this game. The game is about a very likable man, name John Marston. John use to be part of a gang, but after getting married and settling down he tries to turn his life around, But to his to his knowing he is black mailed by the government to help take down his former gang. Through this you meet many memorable characters who are funny, weird and some just plain strange, The game has so much to do from doing the main story mission to like 30 side missions, goals challenges mini games and treasure maps. There is so much to do after beating the story which takes about 25-30 hours. I think I have abour 70 hours on it now and I almost have it 100 complete. Graphics are great. Story is one of the best ive seen. I have played and own over 40 games and this is by far my favorite. If you love games this is a must play.
Rated 10 out of 10 by TacoStandBoy Dont like western stuff but WOW...
i only bought it for the undead nightmare(undead nightmare is kinda short) after i beaten it,i decided to play the normal one,im not really into western culture and stuff, but after hours of gameplay turning into days, all i can say is AMAZING,the gameplay is great, the story is good, alot of sidequests to do,and alot of randoms that appear while traveling from saving people from coyotes/wild bandits to people asking for a ride end up jacking your horse!plenty of stuff to do,hunting animals, gambling at poker/dice/blackjack, or just go rampage and kill everything you see!BUT there is some graphic glitches, but rarely happen(least once an hour, and last only 3 seconds) and somtimes cutscenes will rarely make the characters not have sound when talking, which is annoying if you like watching cutscenes, but generally, this game is really awesome and totally worth the money!

Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition is fun. It's like the GTA series, but u ride horses and it's in the cowboy era.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Niggles One Of The Best Sand Box Games Out There
Despite not being quite wat I expected this game did offer some pretty satisfying gameplay. It does get boring some of the time and the Online is also not as great as I thought it'd be. Never the less the GOTY edition is a great deal and most of the DLC are worth it, Most especially Undead Nightmare. So if you waited until now to buy RDR your patience was well rewarded. I only wish I had waited until the GOTY edition came out b4 buying RDR. It's pretty much a Western GTA but has it's own flow to it as well. I wouldn't recommend this game to everyone as it's simply not for everyone. Many ppl will prob find it boring and wish they never wasted their money on it. But if your a big fan of western movies or just western era games you will deff find something your'll like about this game. All in all Great game but certainly not the Greatest game.
Rated 10 out of 10 Rockstars best adventure yet!
This game was simply mind blowing! Everything from the graphics to gameplay it was top notch. Gameplay-Rockstars has always done well with its gameplay but never like Red Dead! The transportation was simple and I didn't frustrate myself while trying to sell my goods. Origonally I thought Dead Eye was going to take a lot of button mashing and difficulty but it wasn't at all. Possibly even the best trait for Red Dead was its Dead Eye. Sound-Everything in the Western World was starting to feel picture perfect until I thought of the voice acting. It did make me feel like I was in the western world with the sherif and citizens but I'm taking about John Marston here. It wasnt horrible either but when Marston got sad or angry it didnt make me feel like he meant it unlike Kratos, Nathan Drake, Joker, or even Ethan Mars.

Rated 10 out of 10 by goldboy22 One of the best western games of all time!
Red Dead Redemption Game Of The Year Edition come fully loaded with a brand new sequel and is different than Gran Theft Auto. This is a very good, open word, adventure game this is by far the best western game I have ever played in my life. Rockstar games really took this game to the next level by far (nice Rockstar) very good music sound effect dialogue and much more i cant think of the story mode is by far the best I have ever played, the thing that is so good about this edition is that it come with all the map packs the pre-order bonus, multiplayer,Free Roam, Co-Op, Online Poker and Liar's Dice, Deathmatch and the UndeadNightmare (DLC) this is a must have for any fan of the wild west.
Rated 10 out of 10 by XboxLiveAllNight Truly an Amazing Classic
Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year is one of my favorite games of all time. The single player has a blockbuster movie story and script, the characters are very memorable, theres tons of side missions, and it comes with Undead Nightmare, which is an epic game in itself. The Singleplayer will make you want to play all night while eating Doritos and drinking Mnt. Dew. The multiplayer is really fun too, but it can be lackluster some times. I reccomend playing with some friends and using a mic too. The best multiplayer game mode for me is Undead Overrun, which is pretty much like Zombies from Black Ops, so if your a COD fan you'll find something here. : )
Rated 10 out of 10 by Leahla Hands Down, this is my all-time favorite game!! :)
I have been playing video games since they first started making them and yeah, kind of giving away my age hear but anyway, I have owned an awful lot of systems too. I still have my PS1,2, &3. Also my old Supernintendo & Sega Saturn too. Have a ton of games. As far as the PS3 games are concerned - hands down, my all-time fave is Red Dead Redemption. Oh it is AMAZING. This game is awesome! Anyone that loves shooters will love this game too even though it is so much more than just that. Great story lines and characters and riding the horse is so natural and realistic that I just get lost in this superb game. The vast expanses are exciting and the hunting is great too. Scary as-all-get out to put it better, at least in some areas. The cougars & bears being the worst of the lot so far for me. I have been playing this game for a very long time and only recently started playing the on-line version too. Oh, it is rocking... Enjoy yourselves and don;t pass up on this game. The only bad thing about it is that they made the game way too good and now nothing I buy comes remotely close to the brilliance that this game possesses. I am constantly being disappointed buy the lack of good action and game-play when I buy new ones. And I am buying what is supposed to be really good games but feel let down after playing Red Dead Redemption. It is very good. Okay - I'm done mouthing off for now... Lol
