Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection
worth a kings ransom !
I am a lover of pinball, and this game absolutely does not fail me. All of the tables are picture perfect, the people behind the rendering are true artists. I grew up on all of these games particularly Pinbot, and Whirlwind. They have put everything in them the controls are great! The sound is just as I remember it. My favorite table on here is Gorgon I love the simple style but extremely challenging play. There is no storyline because your just having fun playing pinball. The physics of the game are accurate as a video game can get to the real thing. This game is a steal at the used price of ****. And the local store had it in stock too. In short if you are a parent who remembers slurping down sodas at the local arcade and want to share a piece of that memory with your kids,or your a avid pinball player you can not pass this up. My daughter and I have been playing this and I haven't stopped smiling the whole time. thank you Game stop for this I love it.
Fantastic collection of pinball classics!
The Williams Collection is a great collection of pinball games from the past, some of which I remember playing in the arcades, like Funhouse and Whirlwind! Aside from just playing the games for the joy of it, the Williams Challenge and Tournament mode keeps you interested, not to mention the largest selection of machines on a pinball compilation I've seen yet. Lots of unlockables give the game alot of replayability. Like Crave's previous pinball collection, the Gottlieb collection for PS2, the games setting in an old-school arcade gives the experience a great nostalgic feel, and the ambient sound of the other machines and great graphics keep you visually and audibly engaged the whole time. If you're interested in looking for a fun and entertaining game to give you variety and a way to leisurely pass the time you can't go wrong with this game if you love pinball, strongly suggest!
Excellent Pinball action
The only thing I find missing is MORE tables, and you can't adjust the controller further than which trigger buttons (L1&R1 or L2&R2.) With that said, the graphics are NOT PS1 level graphics. There are plenty of tables to play in various modes, although some have to be unlocked to play. The sounds capture the experience pretty good as well, and the physics is also pretty good as well. For an electronic simulation of the real thing, this is pretty good. The only thing better would be the real tables on hand for me to play at leisure.
For the Old Schoolers
If you missed thoses old school pinball games from back in the days, then Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection is for you. From Gorgon to No Good Gophers, it is long on variety. My personal favorite is Medieval Madness (funniest pinball game ever). Graphics on this game is top notch; no polygon was spared making this game and the audio from each of the pinball games make you feel that you are right in front of the table. The tournaments and the challenges in the Williams Collection gives it great replayability. So if you miss playing those pinball games from you childhood and you got your choice from PS2, PS3, or Xbox 360, then Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection is the game if you want to relive your pimple-faced youth in a smoke filled arcade joint or an old bowling alley. Get your quarters ready.
Only for old school people
I thought the game stunk with PS1-like graphics. If you love pinball you will like this game. For me though, once you've played MW2 or similar, there is no going back to a game like this.
