Product Details:

PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington DC for an epic crime spree. The new CRIMENET network offers a huge range of dynamic contracts, and players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits or kidnappings, to big league cyber-crime or emptying out major bank vaults for that epic PAYDAY. While in DC, why not participate in the local community, and run a few political errands? Up to four friends co-operate on the hits, and as the crew progresses the jobs become bigger, better and more rewarding. Along with earning more money and becoming a legendary criminal comes a new character customization and crafting system that lets crews build and customize their own guns and gear.

$ CRIMENET

The dynamic contract database lets gamers pick and choose from available jobs by connecting with local contacts such as Vlad the Ukrainian, shady politician "The Elephant" and Mexican drug trafficker Hector, all with their own agenda and best interests in mind. CRIMENET features dozens of varied, exciting jobs and as the player progresses, new contacts with new jobs become available.

$ Choose Your Profession

As players progress they can invest in any of four special professions: the Mastermind, the Enforcer, the Ghost and the Technician. Each features a deep customization tree of associated skills and equipment to master and they can be mixed and matched to create the ultimate heister.

$ Payday Loot

Finishing a job isn't just an accomplishment to be proud of. After a successful heist gamers will also earn rare and powerful new equipment such as masks, weapons mods, mask modifications and a variety of other accessories.

$ Weapons and Modifications

A brand new arsenal for the serious heister covering everything from sniper and assault rifles to compact PDWs and SMGs. Once players have settled for a favorite, they can modify it with optics, suppressors, fore grips, reticles, barrels, frames and stocks - all of which will affect the performance of their weapon. There are also purely aesthetic enhancements - why not go for the drug lord look with polished walnut grips for your nine?

$ Mission Assets

Every job has a set of purchasable assets that can alter and enhance the heist such as a faster escape car, blueprints or even inside help.

$ Character Upgrades

The signature PAYDAY mask can now be customized into tens of thousands of different combinations, color and material variations and there is a bigger selection of gear to wear for the discerning high-fashion heister.

$ Multistage Jobs

Many contracts feature several separate stages allowing for mission forks and different outcomes depending on what the players accomplish in each individual stage.

$ Key Gameplay Features

Rob Banks With Friends, Players must choose their crew carefully because when the job goes down they will need the right mix of skills on their side. PAYDAY Gun Play and Mechanics on a New Level, Firing weapons and zip tying civilians never felt so good. No heist ever plays out the same way twice. Every single scenario has random geometry or even rare events.

$ Character Progression

Gamers begin as dime store thieves and as the game progresses they unlock new skills, weapons, accessories and masks, eventually becoming legendary robbers.

$ Play It Your Way

Each job allows for multiple approaches such as slow and stealthy ambushes to running in guns blazing. Players hit the target any way they want and watch as the heist unfolds accordingly.

$ AI Director

PAYDAY 2's new AI director breaks new ground and requires even more from the dedicated co-operative player base. Enemies will devise strategies in response to player action like flash banging, breaching tactics, freeing hostages and even recovering loot bags. Let's do this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of my favorites, ON COMPUTER This is a great game, the gameplay, the concept, and how the game plays out. There can be many different ways to play, whether stealthing it solo or even with friends(good luck with that), or going in loud and getting cloakers coming up from behind you and drop kicking you... So in the end, wait my drill stopped. But seriously this game is amazing, but... PLAY IT ON STEAM it is so much better that way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Im sorry to say this but. Overall the game has gone dark, the devs have officially given up on the console version which i found quite the shame since they worked so hard for patches, console gamers your better off getting a PC to play this since they update WAY more than the console.The update for console right now is i believe was during last December!, the last update for PC users was about a few days ago!, glitches,bugs,hackers.They all ruin the game and make it more of a burden rather than to play, most on the chat use profanity that's excessive and sometimes very racist and stereotypical.My honest opinion as a person who played this games since beta on the console then PC, just save your money and get the next AC or COD, whatever fits your fancy, just not this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun WITH friends only. How ignorant how some gave low scores because you expected this game to be for solo and casual gaming. This is my first review and man is this game a blast! The gameplay is your choice of fast or slow, stealthy or chaotic. It is meant to be played with friends of course and playing it solo is very difficult but definitely not impossible. The devs seem to be neglecting the console users, especially the 360 but that's possibly because consoles are very limited to their performance compared to a PC where if you build it, the limits are based upon your computer alone. Continuing. The graphics are odd but they definitely grow on you. Sounds are great. Not a very big arsenal of weapons but they're decent nonetheless. Things are very pricey but heists give large amounts of cash and fast. Enemies are first play are difficult to go up against like the juggernauts, tasers and distant snipers, you eventually become very aware of how they work and the quickest ways to dispose of them. Either way the game is very very worth it ONLY if you have three other friends to play with. Don't bother if you're expecting this to be a solo experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Payday 2 This game is not as much fun as the company makes it out to be. You can only single player. Playing online doesn't work to well. You'll get disconnected from a game withing 2mins of playing. The graphics are not good the joining in isn't good. This game would be for someone who is starting to learn online gaming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Co-Op FPS ain't dead yet! First, I'm not going to speak like almost every other major reviewer. Yes, the CPU controlled ai can't pick up bags. As far as I know, there is no offline multiplayer. But, that doesn't mean the game is completely horrible. The controls are really solid, responsive, and easy to get used to, the gameplay plays out well, there is a bangin soundtrack, the gun and skill upgrade system is not like that which has plagued the FPS genre before (COD), and the variety of ways to infiltrate, execute, and exfiltrate are endless. I feel as though this is a bridge between the stealthy elements of small team combat from SOCOM and fast paced shooting from cod. Breat game, great graphics, so on, so forth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great online game, good offline as well. I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. I read the reviews of this game before I got it and a lot of people said the game is great online with a crew of 4, but next to impossible offline with limited AI assistance. I both agree and disagree with this.... At first when new to the game it is definitely challenging to pass most of the jobs with just the AI assistance even on easier difficulties. The first time you rob a bank and get 6 duffel bags of cash to carry out and you can only carry one at a time you'll be cussing your AI helpers for not being able to help you carry anything. Then you'll start carrying the bags 1 at a time out to the getaway van and then head back for more. Somewhere around the 5th duffel bag you'll get killed because you've been exposed and getting shot forever and then you'll blame it all on the stupid AI for not helping with anything. You'll very quickly get tired of this so you'll either say the game is terrible, or give online play a try real quick before you toss the game in the can or trade it in. At this point your view of the game will likely change completely. By playing with some experienced players you'll quickly learn the tricks to most of the missions and in no time you'll be able to do most of the jobs on the most difficult setting with a good online crew. Once you've learned these tricks it's much easier to go to offline play and do the jobs that before seemed next to impossible. A tip for those of you that are new to this game and won't be able to play online, don't pack bags one at a time, put all of the bags in a pile then pick them up one at a time and throw them in the direction you're trying to go until they are all in a pile farther away. You can throw a bag of money 40 feet or so, and keeping them and your crew all together allows the AI guys to lay down good cover fire, keeps them close to you in case you get shot they can revive you, and saves a lot of time of running back and forth. It's like leap frog, you throw all the bags 40 feet closer to the getaway van then you run the 40 feet to your pile of bags. Once you get there you start throwing them 1 at a time another 40 feet, just keep doing that over and over until you reach the getaway van then just pile them all in the van. The whole time your AI crew will be at your side laying down suppression fire and allowing you to focus on the bags. You may have to stop from time to time to help them get rid of some heat, but it's way better than running back and forth. Overall I think the game is great, especially online, and is rumored to have a lot of updates yet to come. If you like small teams working together co-op style to achieve a common goal this game is the best. You can have all kinds of different strategies as long as you communicate with your team. There are a lot of "game snobs" on this game that if they see a low level person join their lobby they will kick them out right away. But you'll find plenty of people, myself included, that will join the easy level lobbies to find inexperienced people and start showing them the tips and tricks to the game. The best advice I can give online, get in a lobby with someone that is a high level and follow them and watch, don't try to be rambo cuz you'll just die. Follow a good player, cover his back and learn from him, if you pay attention and are an asset to him he'll take you a long way and will show you the tricks to every job on the game. If you try to be a hero you'll keep getting killed, if he keeps having to save your butt he'll probably kick you out of his lobby for, well, being a pain in his butt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed Reception PAYDAY is obvious an original franchise, which leads the developers little to base their game of off. PAYDAY: The Heist was an amazing game, that had no equal in terms of games with Heists. PAYDAY 2... It's Heists are of lower quality but less quantity, the UI and Skill System are poor and lacking, but the abundance of in-game options and ways to proceed with them. There is more content than the original, but it isn't as each quantity. The heists just aren't as creative.Overall it is still a great game for heists (as long of you have four intelligent people together) but the menu and UI could easily be improved, as it is among he worst I've ever seen.
