Product Details:

PAIN boldly tackles a rarely explored area of video-gaming... comedy. The unique mechanic of the game allows the player to load a character into a human-sized, ultra-powerful slingshot, and fire the character into an active, physics-controlled environment, filled with precarious and humorous situations. Players receive points by stringing together painful collisions and inducing chaos in the environment. Get ready for more monkeys, exploding teddy bears, clown tossing, and plenty more. The development team is taking PAIN to another level with the all new Amusement Park Add-on environment including six playable modes.

KEY FEATURES

  • Multiple playable characters each with a very unique personality and attributes as well as character specific in-flight poses.
  • Plenty of ways to play in both Single and Multiplayer, including modes like Spank the Monkey, Mime Toss, PAIN Bowling, Fun With Explosives, and even more to come in future releases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent game, too much DLC to buy, it should have.. I wish I could LOVE this game, but, sadly, I can't. There is so much DLC, and that should have been bundled, or a reduced price. It gets a little boring after a while, but is still above the mediocre most people but it at. If it is on sale, get it, if not, well, you could skip it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrendous The idea seems fun. I talked to people, and who I talked to seemed to think it was worth it, even if they weren't too excited about it so I got it. Honestly, the only good thing I can say about this game is the theme song is awesome. It's not that the game has excessive violence. I am perfectly fine with violent video games (I love Twisted Metal, God of War, Dead Space, etc.) but the game is just ridiculous. You fling a person at stuff, and try to get him/her to hit things. Now, most games that have DLC, may mention them, which is fine, but this game, throws in your face all the DLC you have to buy to unlock everything, and there is A LOT of DLC for the game, including characters and game modes. It seems to taunt you. "Oh, you weren't satisfied? You should try this other game mode. WAIT! First pay the fee. Don't worry, how bad can it be?" I once again talked to other people about this, and who I talked to commented that you essentially need a lot of the DLC before it gets fun. I'm not paying more than the game was, just so it starts getting fun! DLC should help the game, not be the whole game. The entire game feels like a commercial. If they stopped pushing DLC so insanely hard, and cut the price to $5, I might say it was worth it, but being completely filled with "buy me" signs, several pulls towards the market, costing $10 so you can have a base to buy DLC for so it can "start being fun", and realizing that all you do is toss a person at stuff, in extremely limited areas, extremely limited modes (without DLC), its certainly not worth wasting your time or money with.
