Product Details:

Packed with signature high-speed action from its hero, Ryu Hayabusa, the latest chapter in the famed NINJA GAIDEN action series brings additional playable characters, a new gameplay mode, a redesigned battle system, the Ninja Skills upgrade system, and expanded online features including bonus content.

In NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE, the enigmatic warrior Ryu Hayabusa must fight to lift a curse that threatens to destroy him. Developed by Team NINJA, the fighting game was designed from the ground up to satisfy core NINJA GAIDEN series fans with a redesigned battle system, improved enemy AI, greatly reduced QTE interactive sequences, and the bloody return of dismemberment. Even with severed arms or legs, enemies will fight on and players will find they have to constantly change up their attacks to win tough battles - the challenge level leaves very little room for error. However, with perfect attacks players can not only cut off limbs but slice an enemy completely in two!

The Ninja Skills systems lets players use Karma earned in battles to purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, and costumes to build their own perfect ninja. Adding to the variety of gameplay, Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji all join Hayabusa as playable characters. Ayane gets her own chapters in story mode while all three female characters can be played in the new Chapter Challenge mode as well as Ninja Trials co-op play.

Chapter Challenge mode has been expanded to include ten chapters (including new Ayane stages) allowing players compete for the highest possible score in each chapter of the story. Six weapons for Hayabusa are included in the game, and the female characters get their own weapons for even more variety. Additionally, Inferno, Wind Blades, and Piercing Void have been added as new Ninpo. In the new Tests of Valor challenges, players discover Crystal Skulls hidden in each level to be transported to engage in tough boss battles.

The online features in NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE have been greatly expanded, including all of the previously paid DLC from NINJA GAIDEN 3. The Ninja Skills upgrade system can be used online letting players use Karma to purchase customizable features for the Unknown Ninja used in multiplayer Clan Battles. Players can use all of game's weapons and Ninpo in Clan Battles, for which five new stages have been added, giving them access to their favorite methods of attack. The number of co-op missions in Ninja Trials mode has been tripled, and all four playable characters are available for this mode.

  • Redesigned Battle System: With dismemberment, improved enemy AI, and an upgraded battle system, NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE provides the fastest, most brutal, and insanely intense Ninja action game experience in NINJA GAIDEN history.
  • Play as Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji: Kasumi joins Ayane and Momiji for the first time in the series as a playable character in Chapter Challenge and Ninja Trials modes, while Ayane has her own chapters in story mode. All three female characters get stunning costume options.
  • New Chapter Challenge Mode: Compete for the highest score possible in all ten chapters of the story with Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, or Kasumi.
  • New Weapons and Ninpo: In addition to Hayabusa's three weapons, the Jinran-Maru & Blade of the Archfiend swords, Lunar Staff, and Kusari-gama have been added along with Inferno, Wind Blades, and Piercing Void Ninpo.
  • Ninja Skills Upgrade System: Karma earned in battle can be used to freely purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, costumes, and more.
  • New Tests of Valor Challenge: Pick up the Crystal Skulls hidden in each story to be transported to face familiar bosses from the series' most intense battles.
  • Expanded Online Features: Access all previously paid DLC from NINJA GAIDEN 3 as well as five new stages for Clan Battles. The Ninja Skills system is available in online play with 64 customizable features for the Unknown Ninja. The number of co-op Ninja Trials missions has been increased from 33 to 100, and Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi can all be used in this mode.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY USED!!!! The game is very fun. Unfortunately, it lives in the shadow of its predecessor, NGS2 (Sigma 2.) This is basically what the game should have been in the original product. But leave it up to Team Ninja to ship a terrible game then months later, follow it up with what the game should have been upon release. C_C The original limited you to the Dragon Sword and had no coop trial missions, or multiplayer. Other than that its a blast to play. Unfortunately, if you played NGS2, you'd notice how this game has serious lacks of enemy variety and environments. (But at least there's no more gold and black spider ninja guys with explosive, un-blockable shurikens. *whew*) Sometimes the game recycles the same uninspired typical terrorist/IRA non-ninja enemies at you over and over. And Instead of the main boss being an oriental Japanese baddy or ancient enemy, it's an old organization full of Caucasian Alchemists, constantly using technology and black magic to create monsters. Another issue I had with this game was the Multiplayer. It felt as though it was an attempt to make the game something that it wasn't, with having a custom ninja avatar you could upgrade with skills and weapons by playing challenge trials, SP missions, and then some. The servers were Lag-tastic, with no real reason to play on them. The PVP modes were VERY uninspired. Then comes the Trial Maps, and that was where the game shines in every aspect. I dare say the trials were more enjoyable than the SP was. The trials vary in difficulty and reward, and upon completion can reward you with experience to upgrade your skills and weapons, and trick out your ninja. They even throw Bosses from previous Ninja Gaiden games into the mix, providing almost infinite replayability and DEATHS upon most Master Ninja Difficulty and ALL Ultimate Ninja trials. on Ultimate Ninja Difficulty and trials the enemies are MERCILESS, and more than one boss might come out at a time, making a 2nd skilled player a necessity.BUT if you want to make a ninja you have to buy the game NEW and UNOPENED, because they have codes inside of them that unlock that area of the game. Quite stupid in my opinion, what's next? a season pass? My final verdict is a 7/10 SOLID.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A horrible let down from the previous games I love Ninja Gaiden. I have owned every one all the way back from Nes. This one was a horrible let down. They cheesed it up with the new fighting finishers and took almost all of your weapons away. This one sucked!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What NInja Gaiden Should Be I got the collector's pack of the original Ninja Gaiden 3 for my birthday, and could not have been more excited. I enjoyed it, but it didn't feel like Ninja Gaiden. Then this beauty came out, and I have played non-stop since. This game makes awkward, unhealthy gamer quirk kick in, causing me to rock back and forth in my seat as I play, the mark of a very good game. Normally when a remake of recent title, such as this, comes out promising new content, I over-look it and just go for the dlc instead, but THIS was totally remaking Ninja Gaiden 3 from the ground up, including minor restructuring in the story, AND adding to the story to fit Ayane in it. Not only that, but Kasumi is finally a playable character in Ninja Gaiden. This game fixed everything that was wrong with the original version, and went beyond, including upgrading skills, and even stuck with the plot-based upgrading of the single-sword weapon. And along with the women characters, for you "happy" fan-boys, they increased the chestie-bounce with the SIX-AXIS, and made it much more obvious, lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Let The Carnage Begin! Ninja Gaiden is back and it's better than ever in this exciting Remake of Ninja Gaiden 3. From a shallow letdown to an action epic, NG3:RE delivers great intense battles with more gore than ever! Not only did they step up the engine but the core battles are much better with improved AI, faster pacing, more weapons, more missions, and the replay value for this game is just amazing. Sound, Graphics, Gameplay, and Lasting Appeal all deliver a 10/10 in this superb sequel of the Ninja Gaiden series. As a true Hardcore NG player I can say without doubt that this a "Must Have" if you are an Action Gamer. I rate this game an overall 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! Ayane!!!! I would Definitely agree that this is a way better installment of the ninja gaiden series. Playing as Ayane rocks and her fighting skills are way better in this than DOA. Haven't got to Kasumi yet but I can't wait to play as her as well! Yay!
