Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
What NInja Gaiden Should Be
I got the collector's pack of the original Ninja Gaiden 3 for my birthday, and could not have been more excited. I enjoyed it, but it didn't feel like Ninja Gaiden. Then this beauty came out, and I have played non-stop since. This game makes awkward, unhealthy gamer quirk kick in, causing me to rock back and forth in my seat as I play, the mark of a very good game. Normally when a remake of recent title, such as this, comes out promising new content, I over-look it and just go for the dlc instead, but THIS was totally remaking Ninja Gaiden 3 from the ground up, including minor restructuring in the story, AND adding to the story to fit Ayane in it. Not only that, but Kasumi is finally a playable character in Ninja Gaiden. This game fixed everything that was wrong with the original version, and went beyond, including upgrading skills, and even stuck with the plot-based upgrading of the single-sword weapon. And along with the women characters, for you "happy" fan-boys, they increased the chestie-bounce with the SIX-AXIS, and made it much more obvious, lol.
Let The Carnage Begin!
Ninja Gaiden is back and it's better than ever in this exciting Remake of Ninja Gaiden 3. From a shallow letdown to an action epic, NG3:RE delivers great intense battles with more gore than ever! Not only did they step up the engine but the core battles are much better with improved AI, faster pacing, more weapons, more missions, and the replay value for this game is just amazing. Sound, Graphics, Gameplay, and Lasting Appeal all deliver a 10/10 in this superb sequel of the Ninja Gaiden series. As a true Hardcore NG player I can say without doubt that this a "Must Have" if you are an Action Gamer. I rate this game an overall 10/10.
A horrible let down from the previous games
I love Ninja Gaiden. I have owned every one all the way back from Nes. This one was a horrible let down. They cheesed it up with the new fighting finishers and took almost all of your weapons away. This one sucked!
The demo to this game is BEAUTIFUL! Everything is improved since the regular Ninja Gaiden 3. I've spent nearly 4 hours playing the demo over and over and what's awesome about it is that you can transfer your demo data to when you buy the actual game, you can unlock the skills, upgrade your weapons, and you can also get alternate costumes for both Ayane and Hayabusa in the demo so you can play with those in the full game. I plan on pre-ordering it this spring break and playing it for A LONG TIME
Don't FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY USED!!!!
The game is very fun. Unfortunately, it lives in the shadow of its predecessor, NGS2 (Sigma 2.) This is basically what the game should have been in the original product. But leave it up to Team Ninja to ship a terrible game then months later, follow it up with what the game should have been upon release. C_C The original limited you to the Dragon Sword and had no coop trial missions, or multiplayer. Other than that its a blast to play. Unfortunately, if you played NGS2, you'd notice how this game has serious lacks of enemy variety and environments. (But at least there's no more gold and black spider ninja guys with explosive, un-blockable shurikens. *whew*) Sometimes the game recycles the same uninspired typical terrorist/IRA non-ninja enemies at you over and over. And Instead of the main boss being an oriental Japanese baddy or ancient enemy, it's an old organization full of Caucasian Alchemists, constantly using technology and black magic to create monsters. Another issue I had with this game was the Multiplayer. It felt as though it was an attempt to make the game something that it wasn't, with having a custom ninja avatar you could upgrade with skills and weapons by playing challenge trials, SP missions, and then some. The servers were Lag-tastic, with no real reason to play on them. The PVP modes were VERY uninspired. Then comes the Trial Maps, and that was where the game shines in every aspect. I dare say the trials were more enjoyable than the SP was. The trials vary in difficulty and reward, and upon completion can reward you with experience to upgrade your skills and weapons, and trick out your ninja. They even throw Bosses from previous Ninja Gaiden games into the mix, providing almost infinite replayability and DEATHS upon most Master Ninja Difficulty and ALL Ultimate Ninja trials. on Ultimate Ninja Difficulty and trials the enemies are MERCILESS, and more than one boss might come out at a time, making a 2nd skilled player a necessity.BUT if you want to make a ninja you have to buy the game NEW and UNOPENED, because they have codes inside of them that unlock that area of the game. Quite stupid in my opinion, what's next? a season pass? My final verdict is a 7/10 SOLID.
now we're talk'n
Ninja Gaiden 3 has never been better than Razor's Edge. Still Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is slightly better, but this is worth every penny. They fixed just about everything and gave you a lot more options, more weapons, harder difficulty, more characters, almost everything is upgradable. Just what Ninja Gaiden should be difficult, yet rewarding, it delivers.
its a pretty good game but its my first ninja gaiden. ITS is awesome i recomend if you havnt got it yet you should get it noe.
I would Definitely agree that this is a way better installment of the ninja gaiden series. Playing as Ayane rocks and her fighting skills are way better in this than DOA. Haven't got to Kasumi yet but I can't wait to play as her as well! Yay!
legendary very hard gameplay
it is an excellent game that every combat fan must have team ninja took in consideration the fans review about the disaster awful ninja gaiden 3 origin and fix it up in the legendary ninja gaiden 3
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge
I played a little of the Demo and it was not bad... I only play Fighting Games and this is no Fighting Game by a long shot. But for this type of game it was good. Was Told there was a Pre-Order Bonus from GameStop extra DLC costumes. So i Pre-Ordered it then. But it seems the Pre-Order Bonus is not listed here and GameStop has no idea about one. But yet many websites state GameStop gets One. So cross ur fingers we do if not That is Bad not to get one...
