Rated 3 out of 10 by Rastervision Wait, is that NHL 14?
As stated in most reviews, this is NHL 14 with a few updated images, updated roster, and a new set of announcers. The only additional features I can see is they increased the goaltender interference calls, and possibly hit and puck physics, but not enough to even notice. The announcer's don't sound as good, or dynamic, as the XBox One version. I would recommend purchasing (or continuing to play) NHL 14, and only buy this if you have some money to spare or can't find NHL 14. This is not a bad game, as I think EA got most things right with NHL 14, it's just not worth $60 to buy the same game that you can for $25-$30 or less

Guys, while the gameplay is very similar to '14, they made some changes. For one, they fixed all of the issues with GM mode, which is one of my favorite modes. If anything, it's a lot better than what it is on next gen. We still have shootouts, EASHL, and several other features, at the cost of enhanced graphics. But here's the thing. It's a video GAME, not video art. We buy games to play them, not look at them. And this game plays well. Take a look at Minecraft. That game has probably the worst look of any popular game, but it plays so much better. I will admit, NHL 15 on PS3 is kind of like NHL 14.5. But as a hardcore to-the-death fan of this series (I've owned and played every game since NHL 2001.) I think this game is fun. They improved the physics that made their spectacular debut last year, they added hybrid icing. I want to bring up GM Mode, because I really think they struck gold with it. In my opinion, GM mode has been perfected. I don't see a way for it to be better. The game is not all we hoped to be, but it isn't bad. Look at the last two years. NHL 13 delivered a huge improvement to skating, and that directly affects all aspects of gameplay. NHL 14 brought us revamped Live the Life mode, and the FIFA collision physics engine, as well as a much needed fighting engine update. The last two games were almost revolutionary, and them being back-to-back like that spoiled us. We expected more overhauls, when to be honest, we didn't need overhauls, we needed finetuning. I don't think EA hit a bullseye, but they sure as heck didn't miss altogether.

I was so excited to get my copy of NHL 15, not knowing what to expect (since EA did not release a demo to the PS3). So I toss in the disk, and a very familiar sight popped up... The NHL 14 menu. The only difference is that Bergeron is pictured and it says "NHL 15". This is the EXACT same game as NHL 14. The only difference is NHL 15 has less game modes (go figure). I am so disappointed, complete waste of $60 bucks. If you plan on getting this game, DON'T. Go buy or continue to play 14. I'd rather set $60 on fire than purchase this game.

I Have played the nhl 15 early access for ps3 and i am beyond angry. EA is really known for making half asked games but this one guys really takes the cake. Please allow me to explain. They literaly are charging 60 dollars for nhl 14. There is nothing new to this game aside from like maybe 3 animations i saw in the 10 hours of gameplay and the commentary, which by the way is aweful. Honesly this game is barely worth 20$ to buy. Everything in nhl 14 (hub etc) are exactly the same aside from it saying nhl 15. I am a huge nhl fan and have bought all previous games since 06 and this year i will not be buying it. I honesly feel like they are just trying to get some easy cash because this game is just a train wreck. The ps4 version may have had all the great graphics and gameplay elements but they took out the best mode in eashl. As well as making be a pro again instead of live the life, which to me makes no sense to go backwards. Im sad to say but i dont recommend you give EA your money for this game. With what little reputation they did have is now gone with me and im sure with anyone whos played it. They might get the hint what there doing is garbage if people dont purchase it which is what i plan to do. I sincerely hope you guys take my advice because once you open the game its lost half of its value already within a few days. EA you truly have nothing left to offer and with all your half asked games (sim city uhmmm) you will probably go out of buisness sooner rather then later.
Rated 9 out of 10 by wolfpackjack98 Not much difference from NHL 14, but good game.
NHL 15 is a good game. It doesn't lag and has great graphics, which any gamer is looking for in a game. I recommend this game to people any ages.
Rated 10 out of 10 Very Good Game For Everyone
This game is really good for sports gamers like myself. I also think its good if you want to play a quick ten minute game or a long one hour game.
