Pretty good.
This game i s a pretty good game. It's very realistic, and it has that NBA feel to it, you can practice with a team, compete in All-Star Weekend festivities, and then, of course, just play a normal NBA game. It has its flaws, though. When you hit a shot, no matter what type of shot it is, the net does not swish like it does in NBA 2K. It does exactly what all the early-to-mid 2000s ESPN basketball games did. The ball just goes right through, and the net barely makes any physical movements, which I think is one of the more disappointing aspects of the game. I saw the trailers for NBA Live 13, and it looked like the exact same thing as Live 09. NBA 2K has had three years to monopolize the market of basketball video games, because EA just can't make quality NBA games anymore. This game is pretty good, and so is Live 10. But it has its problems, which were just blithely ignored by EA Sports. There are no actual face images of NBA players in this game, just cyberfaces. With all of these impediments taken into consideration, EA Sports has slowly regressed over the years. Even though, this is a very good NBA game, I don't think EA Sports will ever make another good NBA Live game, even though they've shown that they're trying to. They've acquired all this new state of the art technology to make a good game, and they still couldn't. But aside from all that, still a good game.

I really gave this game an honest try but it's SO unrealistic. You'll be dribbling with your player up the court then a defender comes and you cannot get by him despite you still using the directional. Players will miss very easy wide open shots while others will make 35 foot turnaround jumpers with 3 guys on them. You'll attempt to steal a pass that you are right in the path of yet the ball will go right through your player. The comments are pretty much the same ones from 2007 with only a few new ones. The graphics are good but that's the only positive I can say about this game. Don't bother.

2k is better. To me the franchise gets boring. I do say 2 player mode was fun.

Pretty Good
The game has wonderful graphics. The game doesn't have much new to offer, but the Be A Pro mode is pretty cool where you play as a single person on a team. Although the dribbling and dunk contest are awkward to maneuver, the overall gameplay is easy. Once you get a feel for your shot, it's almost too easy to drain threes with Ray Allen or Kobe Bryant. Franchise mode is nothing new but still entertains me. Overall a good basketball game for it's time (2008).

Awesome
This is my favorite basketball ps3 game that i own. The graphics are great but the only problem is that it is way to easy. You could play on superstar and still win by 20 points. If you just started playing basketball games then get this but if you are experienced at basketball games then get NBA 2k's.

The features in this game are the best, out of all of the lives, including 2010.

BEST NBA LIVE I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!!!!
I bought this game and it's fun. I really enjoy this game but it's challenging at some parts.

NBA live 09 and EA Sports tried to make it realistic , but no use.And sometimes it Lags while playing.Graphics=92%.Game play=56%.Sound=100%.Last appeal=43%.Rent it and you'll see what I mean.

This years live is not much better than last year's. Yeah the 365 feature is nice but in the game it is kinda worth less. The hot and cold streaks are not helpful because most people are cold, it doesn't matter which side they're going to drive to, and the animations are so old and limited it's like playing the same game over and over again after having it for a few weeks. The online play isn't really organized that well as I barely know where I'm ranked and where the rest of the world is ranked. 2k has more realism during the gameplay with players heating up DURING the game and each game is different from each other. Live has the same two broadcasters who at points don't speak for almost whole quarters ( 5 min. ones) while 2k has a sideline reporter to go along with their two main ones. All Star weekend is the same as always, hasn't changed since 2005 when it was first introduced. So the bottom line is that NBA Live isn't taking my money next year and i hope it won't take yours, don't spend *** on what i hate to say but on garbage unless it is drastically changed to be a amusing and fun as it was which seems a lifetime ago.

Say I think that they can do better. This is what some people want see im a basketball person I want to live the life style if an nba player. I think you should make NBA LIVE 10 where the people can make a player and play as them and make the mode can Live and Life. This tip will get you way more sells than they ever had and the player can only go though a training camp before the draft to see his skills. The players overall cant go over 80 at the beginning of the game. They had to do great even to get to 75. This is a great feature or say if i want to do the game mode but not create a player. I can click on any body else, but this is another rule there rating wont even be the same. They only can play this feature on the setting of All-Star or Above. Anybody can add more stuff check out this site it will help you with more ideas.
