Great B-Ball Experiance. Definite Must Buy!!!!!!
If you are looking for a pure simulation basketball game with some flare then this is the game for you. The gamplay mechanics are good(they should make the shot stick Iso-Motion dribbling again)the signature style dunks, shots and free throw routines are the best around. The graphics are much improved over last year and are very eye pleasing. The realism and presentation are so indepth that you'll catch yourself thinking you are watching a live game. The Dunk contest is a lot more fun than Live08 and more user friendly. The association is what sports gamers are looking for with 3team trades,Morale comparision and playing time alotment. This is the best and most realistic B-Baller game out there. You'll find yourself playing this game for many months to come.

Demo is nothing compared to the real game
If you downloaded the demo for ps3, it doesn't even have on the fly subsitiutions or play diagrams. This game will own. Don't believe me? go to vetzballin.com and you'll see full vids of the final build. This game just blows NBA LIVE out of the water. 2k truely wants to be the next gen winner in simulation sports. NBA 2k8 is heading them in that direction.

Where's the other features?
i love the flow and feel of the game conpared to live and nba 08, but i noticed the ps3 demo has a bunch of missing features. The main one missing is the on the fly controls(play calling, subs, strategy etc) and they still havent brought back the change your shot in mid air(just push shot while on a dunk or attempt and it changes your shot). I hope the full version has at least on the fly controls.

ugly
this game is ugly i played the demo on ps3 and i must say that live is much better. the graphics have gottent worse from nba 2k7 and also the gameplay.

2k8 is goin be better
2k8 is goin to be better becuz live trying to put to much in they games all star week ,fiba america etc that stuff is great but two details they missing are the better graphics and the gameplay controls.

All 3 nba titles suck!!!
I downloaded the demos for all three nba games and none of them are good. People say 2k is better and it maybe, but that doesn't mean it is a great game. Can one of you tell me how great graphics became GREAT gameplay? And to be quite honest 2k graphics aren't that great either. It is just the better of three average basketball games.

live=no good
NBA Live is the most amazingly terrible game ever. Its got horrible graphics, horribly physics (the net doesn't even move) and the gameplay is horrible at best. 2k8 is going to be amazing, the 2k series is always addictive and the graphics are always amazing. The only complaint from me is the floating jerseys and disappearing uniform glitches...maybe that's just me but I got it like 4 times a game last year. I am extremely excited however to play as the Hawks, they should be extremely exciting to play with this year.

2k8 plays against Live
These 2 games are great.But I have to reward 2k8.I think 2k8 has better game playing,graphics and 24/7 mode makes it a perfect game.The one thing that i like is the allstar game set up for Live which includes 3point contest and the dunking challege.Im really looking forward to play both.But 2k8 is way better than live..play it and you'll realize it yourself

2k8 is the one to get
I gotta agree. For years EA made the better game. They then changed up their production team and cut some staff. The smaller, new staff seems to be just working on graphics, game hype and strange gameplay hooks instead of refining their gameplay mechanics. About 2005 or 2006, the 2K series really came out nowhere when they started putting in the effort to make a great game. It's a lot more realistic and makes the gamer feel like they are making real choices in a basketball game rather than playing madden on wood. In 2006, 2K really stepped up graphically too and is now the superior game in that regard. For gameplay, realism and graphics you have to go with the 2K series at least for basketball.

Not Feling NBA Live Demo
As a new PS3 owner, I was curious how live translated over to the new platform. I like most b ball gamers switched over to the 2K series around 2006 because Live turned into the Pokemon of the sports gaming wold with superstar icons all over the place.. Look, I watch and follow Basketball, I know Tim Duncan is a post threat!! So I downloaded the NBA Live demo.. and the very next day I went and put a deposit down on NBA 2K8..
