MyKell Best All-Round Fighting Game... STILL!
I play all the fighting games and there's no doubt in my mind that Mortal Kombat (Komplete Edition) is by far the best value, even at full price. NetherRealm has hit the magic center for both casual fighting game fans and potential hardcore tournament fighters. The more you play, the more you want to get better. Even if playing online nowadays might deem a frustrating venture since most online gamers playing online now have exploited the game to find who the best characters are against who when playing in such a lag infested medium. BUT, no fear, because there's enough content here to keep you more than entertained. The story mode is the absolute best story mode of any fighting game. I'd even say it's up there with some of the best story modes in any genre of video game. And if you have a friend, local vs. fighting never gets old.. and if it did, there's a ridiculous tower of 200 events that you can take turns trying to defeat. If you're stuck, you can "buy" your way out by skipping the event with virtual mk coins that are earned by playing. If you're looking for one good fighting game, this one is the best. It's gory fun and the PS3 version comes with Kratos!

This game is ridiculously entertaining. I am a HUGE MK fan and have loved almost every game. This edition to the fighting franchise is a breath of life to the series. In Mortal Kombat (9) you replay the events of the original trilogy, but with a strong twist. The story picks up where Armagedon left off. Raiden is about to be killed by Shao Kahn, but before he can finish him (no pun intended) Raiden sends a message to himself in the past at the start of the first tournament. Throughout the story he has sudden visions that he must change in order to prevent Shao Kahn from merging Earthrealm with Outworld. It is an amazing story with solid, fun gameplay. The graphics are stunning with extreme emphasis on fatalities being extra bloody. I strongly recommend this product to anyone even if you've never played a game in the franchise seeing how this is a reboot and the best possible starting point. P.S. Don't forget to add me on PSN: wrestlingaddict0

I always loved Mortal Kombat from the beginning to the end, and I think this is my favorite new-gen MK. With all the DLC to the smooth controls, I think it's amazing! One thing is missing, though. SHINNOK! Anyway, it's a great game at the price of $20. SHINNOK THOUGH!!!

Mortal Kombat or MK9 is a pretty fun fighting game. I've always been a huge Mortal Kombat nerd. I enjoyed the game, but online portion is kinda pointless. Too much spamming, but what do you expect on a fighting game? Plus, it's hard to find people to join sessions sometimes. But the main story, to me, was excellent and all the characters are special and look great.
My main complaint was the boss fight at the end, with Shao Kahn. I can understand a challenge, but that was stupid, insanely hard. He spams the heck out of moves and takes hardly any damage. And his X-Ray move basically kills you. The balance between him and Raiden was totally jacked up. At least cut the hammer, shoulder blocks and spears down to half lol.
Overall, the game is extremely fun and worth $20. Must have for hardcore fighter or Mortal Kombat fans.

Rated 9 out of 10 by Silentassassinx23 Best Mortal Kombat game thus far
This is truly the best MK game I've played. Yes there are some balance issues, some characters render other obsolete. But one thing Netherealm (formally midway) never fails at, is the amount of content they add to their games. You can spend hours upon hours in the krypt unlocking things from concept art to costumes. Aside from the fun content let us not forget, this is Mortal Kombat, the gore is TOP NOTCH! From Noob Saibot splitting your body apart, to Sub-Zero freezing your body this game delivers on gore. The fighting mechanic is good for a casual gamer to pick up and learn off the bat, and for fighting veterans such as myself to master the game to have competitions. This is a must have game for fighting game fans, and fans of the MK saga.

it really infuriates me that besides of the fact that if you want to have access to the DLC players you have buy them. Considering the fact that it cost an average of 30% of the original game, you can't resell it, so that's money that you won't recover. I mean shouldn't we get them for free? we paid good money for the game and they still want to squeeze us like oranges to drain out our money. Now they offer this complete edition that has some new features but at the end it's the same game but just with some makeover. considering these facts I wouldn't buy this game and not even buy the DLC package, because I don't want to contribute to the lucrative market that it is want to be establish.

I didn't buy the previous version, I had however rented it. I loved it, and now that they have a komplete edition, I'm thrilled. I was thinking about buying the game and downloading the dlc's. Now I can do it all in one purchase while paying a little less for the total package. Don't listen to anyone crying about already having the first copy, anyone watching the gaming trend would understand this approach most companies are doing now. I'm not against it, they need to make their money as well. Enough of that though, if you were a fan of the games before they went 3D and screwed things up then you'll love this.

I payed pre odredred the kollector's edition two months before it came out and saved for the dlc, and they pull this on us, well if i didn't have the game i would be excited about all the dlc in the disc, but when you buy the game for $100 and buy the rest of the dlc & they do this, it just grinds my gears, this is just like when i bought red dead redemption then find out a couple weeks later that the game of the year edition came out with all the dlc, again, good when you don't have the game & wanting to buy it, but i waited a long while to get my copy & dlc.
