Gamestop Exclusive Inteview with premiere NFL quarterback for the Tennesee Titans and Madden 2008 cover boy Vince Young

1. So, the natural question, what are your thoughts/concerns on the supposed Madden Curse'?
No, no concerns whatsoever. I've always been a man of God and I put my faith in him to keep me healthy and if something happens it happens. But hopefully I'll be able to stay healthy and help my team make it to the Super Bowl.

2. What superstitions, if any, play into your own pre-game rituals? What's the most bizarre one you've ever witnessed?
The only thing I do is put on my iPod and get jamming, maybe some dancing too. Can't say that I've seen anything bizarre...Kevin Mawae walks around the locker room in a Hawaiian skirt but nobody is going to say anything to him about it. Whatever it takes to get ready for a game

3. Of all your teammates, who would be the toughest to beat in a game of Madden?
I've played against a lot of guys who take it serious. Probably the best I've played against on a regular basis is Roy Williams. He wins sometimes, I win sometimes. We have a lot of fun playing though.

4. After one year in the league, who's the hardest hitter in all of football?
I would say either Sean Taylor from Washington or Robert Griffith from Arizona. I've watched lots of film on both of them and you always have to know where they are every single play. They can bring it big time. But after going to thePro Bowl I havemuch respect for defensive players. They can be out there trying to make the big hit but and take you down but they're not out there trying to hurt you. Ray Lewis - tough guy and he comes to play but he treats you with respect.

5. Who had the best touchdown celebration of all time?
No question, Ernest Givens doing the electric slide for the Oilers back in the day. I remember playing Pop Warner football back in Houston and everyone was doing it.

6. Of all the great players, both past and present, who would make up your "dream" backfield and receiver corps? Oh, I would have to say LT (LaDainian Tomlinson) in the backfield, Chad Johnson and Andre Johnson at receiver, Reggie Bush in the slot with Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates at tight end. Throw Deion Sanders in with my defense now and nobody's going stop us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but no better than its predecessor. Madden NFL 08 is a very good game, but I will express my frustration with the game. If you took this game, and compared it to its predecessor, Madden NFL 07, you'd swear it's the exact same game. The two of them have completely the same style, features, both of them have radio broadcasts with the announcers, which I really don't like. EA Sports has gotten so repetitive, and downright lazy over the years, it's no wonder that 2K Sports and MLB The Show and other sports titles have become so dominant in the gaming market. EA Sports went down a regressive path, all of their sports games from 2006-2009 have the same style, and same graphics. The only major difference between each of them is the sport. And as they went down this regressive path, each of their games got worse each time around. The Madden NFL series and the Tiger Woods PGA series are still great, however. The NHL series is still going strong. But most of their games have gotten progressively worse, which is why other sports gaming titles have been able to increasingly monopolize the market of their respective sport. EA Sports has made little-to-no improvements over the years. Don't get me wrong, Madden 08 is good, it's just no better than Madden 07.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Avoid this year's Madden I got Madden 08 when it first came out and after playing more recent copies i can pick out many flaws they made in the 08 game. The gameplay is just too fast paced that it makes the game too unrealistic and just kills the enjoyment factor for me. The graphics weren't a standout even for its time and the game just felt as if they rushed the project to be released on time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More Pros than Cons Superstar mode is amazing, however to be able to unlock legendary status for positions such as HB and QB takes far too long. Franchise mode seems very disorganized, but the actual gameplay and graphics make up for it. Overall a very good football game for it's time (2007).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astonishing This could be one of the best games of ive ever played how realistic the gameplay is and the amazing graphics the franchise mode is awsome and so is this game

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a great Madden After Madden 07, I figured 08 would have been top notch, but I was wrong for two systems. The Wii and PS3 versions aren't as good as 07. I was addicted to 07 for a very long time and loved almost everything about the game. But I haven't played much of 08, and I wouldn't recommend it for even $2.99 unless you don't have any other option.
