Rated 2 out of 10 by Ti13gamerus Sumo, you disappointed me...
I obtained this game around Christmas last year and I played the story a few times. That was it. It not that I did not want to play the other modes, but it was the fact that It was completely UNPLAYABLE. What I mean is: My game froze every 10 minutes, the loading screens are longer than the actual level, if I tried joining a friend it failed, couldn't work on levels because it would crash and not save. Speaking of saves, the majority of my levels did not carry over, nor did some of my costumes. As for story mode its mediocre at best, the punch lines are dry and the characters are dull. Overall I would not recommend this game to anyone that has played the previous LBP games (excluding karting, psp, and vita because those are junk). If Sumo is able to bring LBP2 back and just update it and call it 3 the game would have done much better. Until then, I highly recommend you do not by this. If your dead set then get it on ps4.

Rated 9 out of 10 by AstroKing Great Charm with Tons of Content
I never enjoyed any of the old LittleBigPlanet games, so I was quite surprised to find that I loved this one. It's just so lovably bizarre and weirdly charming, coupled with an absolutely insane amount of content. Even if I didn't want to mess around in the creator, I would've gotten my money's worth from the Community Levels alone. The only complaints I have are that the new characters were quickly introduced and then dropped, and there was only one level that took advantage of using them all. It's a shame, really, because that level was a ton of fun to play through with my friends. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the only glitch that I've experienced so far was having the game freeze once when loading. It seems to be broken for some others though, but I can only judge the game based on my own experiences.

I really like this game because you really get to express your creativity and you get to customize your own character and make your own levels. It also has great characters and fun levels.

Rated 8 out of 10 by LittleBigPlanet3 Good but not Great
Well the Lbp series is great I loved 1 and especially 2 my favorite. But this is not much of an improvement I mean it has 16 layers to build and design things but with a new game their are a bunch of glitches and even I can't finish the story because of one and it is a disappointment to me. But with goods of this game many things have been added like Quests, New 1080p graphics, 16 new layers, new characters, more options and it goes on it's an improvement to say the least should you buy it only if you are really a BIG fan of the franchise or wait until it irons out the bugs and glitches. Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 10 by Ocheeslice Okay game - lots of bugs - now unplayable
The game started out OK. There were some glitches with the costumes and falling between layers on some levels but after the latest 'patch' the game has just become unplayable. I have DSL so online play is not an option for me with this game. When they patched it to allow online multiplayer it destroyed local multiplayer. Now in order to have more than one player play locally the extra players must sign in as guests. If they try to sign into their sub-accounts/profiles the message 'A player failed to load your profile' pops up and then a random loading screen and Player 1 drops into the pod again. You have to cancel out of the game and start again and choose GUEST in order to have more than one local player. There are no problems playing local multiplayer in LBP or LBP2. Before the latest patch the sackboys would shake like they had Parkinson's disease when you loaded more than one local player. That was a tolerable glitch because you did not notice it when you were moving. I can't tell if they still do this as we can't play local multiplayer anymore. Contrary to what Sumo Digital says Sackboy does not automatically switch between the tools and grabbing. If you have a tool equipped and try to grab onto a wall or sponge object more often than not you fall to your death. Also if more than one sackboy tries to grab onto a wall or hanging sponge one or both/all fall to their death. The helmet hook is one of the worst tools. If more than one sackboy is using the helmet hook and they jump from one line to another one and they are too close to each other one or both of the sackboys will fall because the helmet hook un-equips when transitioning between lines. Other tools have the same problem where they randomly un-equip when grabbing objects. The game is very short. There are only four worlds with about four main levels and three sub-levels in each. The boss battle is tacked into the swoop level, which short changed the level for its own levels. Of the three hero levels Swoop only has to collect two marbles [two main levels] and the other two had to collect three [three levels]. It seems that they wanted to rely on user generated content to round out the experience. That was very disappointing as we can't play any online portions of this game. It takes hours just to download a patch. If you have decent internet then this won't be an issue to you. There are some awesome boards in the game but since we can no longer play local multiplayer where the extra players unlock prize bubbles as well it is no good to us anymore. I would not recommend this game to anyone until Sumo Digital fixes the problems with the game.

I really love LBP. It's a really great game underneath the endless waves of tryhards and trolls. With the new 3D functions, you do not have to spend forever trying to glitch anything out anymore. Personally, I would recommend waiting for a few months after the initial release of the game they'd probably have released the GOTY version by then.
