My review is going to be split into the four categories. Gameplay: EA has made Harry Potter into a third person shooter-like game, your spells becoming weapons and taking cover when Snatchers and Death Eaters are shooting at you. The camera is over the shoulder. To me, this game was fast and exciting. A lot of people have complained that this is too much like a shooter, but what were we going to do in this game, explore a forest and find Hogwarts Crests? I think the transition to a shooter-like game is an okay move by EA, trying to have the game appeal to mature gamers. Sound: A couple of the voice actors from the Harry Potter movies, such as Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright, and Tom Felton are in the game, but the voice actors for Harry Potter, Hermionie, and some other characters aren't as good as they are portrayed in the movie. I wish more actors from the movie voiced the characters of the game. Graphics: The graphics for this game are amazing. The detail in the characters are excellent, from the strands of Harry's hair to the clothes that the characters wear. Some creatures graphics are smudgy, but overall, very good. Lasting Appeal: This game is perfect for any Harry Potter fan, but don't expect this game to take you forever to beat like some games like Skyrim or Mass Effect. While the Story will probably take 7 hours to beat, their are also challenges and online leaderboards that will keep you busy for a while. Overall, 9/10.

I have played all the Harry Potter games since it's debut on the play station one. As far as I can see from all the video on the Deathly Hallows it is come all long way from the faint appearance of what looks like Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I also thought of it to be funny when they spoke in cut scenes and you could only pick out a worm like mouth dancing around. I'm sorry for my side track, everyone is talking Deathly Hallows. Well I can very well say that this game will appeal to not just Harry Potter fans but to shooter fans alike. Your battling thousands of you-know- who's army and well, your Harry Potter "the chosen one" and you have tons of spells at your disposal and since he's now seventeen his spells are powerful, and like they commented in the video it's like shooting a gun. Since this game is going to be in 3rd person it really gives a shooter what they want. Now my only concern is that since they are headed in this new direction, will it still have that free roam ability like it has been in the previous titles? Either way, i'm still going to love this game.

I played this game knowing it was going to suck, but being an insanely huge Harry Potter fan I thought I'd get some enjoyment out of it. Sadly, I was wrong. The first couple of hours of the game were fairly likeable, the gameplay was pretty fun and casting spells felt somewhat rewarding. After that it went downhill. It seemed as if the devs may have purposefully let the game go sour; the simplest parts of the story didn't follow the book or the film, there were way too many filler missions (sets of 3 part missions done outside of the story). The controls were clunky; the camera felt like that of a PS1 era game, and the control scheme was absurd and very confusing (especially during battle). However, even though the controls were off I found the most enjoyable part of the game to be battle. Fighting off death eaters and snatchers was truly the highlight of the game. I don't know if I want to play year 7 part 2, because I'm afraid it may be just as bad as this one. I don't recommend this. Nope, not even to hardcore Potter fans like myself. If you want a fun and fulfilling HP game, try LEGO Harry Potter.

i like how this game was extremely well made, you have a wide variety of spells, although some of them aren't really useful (like wingardium leviosa). I love the fact that now we can fight against dementors and spiders and infereri, other than just the normal enemies one would expect to find. The game ties in with the book, but it has scenes and actors from the movie so they look the same. The battles are always epic (i suggest playing it in hard rather than normal) and it's all very exciting. the only issues I had was that maybe the game was too fast for me and it was over quickly and that the cut scenes don't always look sharp, but it doesn't matter when the gameplay gives you so much bang for your buck!.

ok so the game looks great but why not for psp. i mean i no the last games sucked and not many people bought them but thats there own fault the graphics sucked. i saw this game and thought sweet an actual harry potter game that might be good but there only doing it for the ds, ps3, xbox360, wii and pc why not psp im pretty sure alot of people like handheld consoles than normal ones. and this is one of the last harry potter games they have to make it brilliant other wise they cant go back so for part 2 there better be a psp version. if you agree say yes! because they have to learn

Usually Harry Potter games aren't like this at all, but it looks like you are part of the adventure. The best part is I can use any spell I want. I hope I can use some of the unforgivable curses like Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. The other games when you hit someone they just stayed up, but with this the people actually hit the ground as if something actually hit them! The 360 and PS3 versions will have the best to offer. But the Wii would be fun because you could use the Wiimote as your own wand.

the first harry potter game that i ever owned was Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire, and it was my last. it was REALLY fun, dont get me wrong but after that one it seemed like the games got boring. what really made Goble Of Fire Fun was the ability to choose who you wanted to play as. Harry , Hermione , or Ron. Unfortuantely i dont think you have that option in this game so i wont be picking it up, just like i havent picked up the last two harry potter games.

Harry Potter 7 is finally here and i'm pretty excited about the game. I seen the trailer and it looked amazing. This game will probably be the real deal, u will need skill if u wanna beat it. Way better than the previous games, there is no more Hogwarts, no Dumbledore 2 protect u, its just Harry and his 2 friends as they go on a journey 2 defeat Voldemort. I probably might pre-order it since I may get something special if I do...

If you dont have this game and really like harry potter I definately recommend it to you. I bought this on july 27th and just finished it on august 3rd and i didnt rush through like some ppl did because I knew I wouldn't enjoy it. The fighting was good and the opening to the great had me into it. I recommend this to anybody who wants to have fun sreiously!

This is gonna be awesome. The other games look nothing like this at all! I mean when you actually hit someone with a spell they actuall react and fall down. The other games you hit someone and they kind of budged a little, that's no fun! But you actually make the enemies feel pain and it shows!
