Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy = Servers shut down This is an online only game with no offline modes. As the servers have been shut down, there is no way to use this software. Does not even make for a decent drink coaster.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Friendlier MOBA If you are like me and enjoy the concept of MOBAs but found the PC community of the more popular ones to be unwelcoming, ultimately dampening your experience; This is the game for you. Guardians of Middle Earth can be as hardcore or as casual as you want it to be and offers skirmish battles to train up before heading online. I easily spent 3 hours playing skirmish matches before feeling comfortable playing an online match (3 hours time that does not feel wasted) and I couldn't be happier. Balancing is terrific, character classes feel about right, and learning the ins and outs of buffing your character towards their power-horse level 14 feels undeniably satisfying. The community is much friendlier too with a tad less emphasis on statistical competition than others, though the competition is still there for those that desire it. All that can be said against it for now is that the servers need a lot of tweaking. Full matches lag out more often than not with 3 on 3 seemingly topping out what the servers can handle... for now. I'm sure this will be fixed down the road.
