The fact that the people who are hating on this game and say that it's too slow, makes me nervous of them driving in real life. I really don't expect a EK9 Civic to be neck-and-neck against a Lamborghini. Anyways, even though the wait was very long, I had my mouth dropping because of the graphics on this game. Plus, the premium cars have so much detail, it's down to every stitch of fabric. I hope PD add on to the list of those cars by giving us updates and such. But one problem is that whenever I launch off the starting grid in an A-Spec race, I lose all off my sound, then I get my sound back in about a second. It's really strange. I have a good HDMI setup so I don't think any of my hardware is the cause of this. But nonetheless it's a really good game.

Everyone has an opinion about what they like and don't like.
Gran Turismo 5 in my opinion is fantastic and a good edition to the series.not everyone wants a game that's arcade style.if you do then look elsewhere, but if you want something realistic with class your in the right lane.there are some of us that enjoy sitting in are favorite chair just us and Gran Turismo 5 having that feeling just like we did when we played grand turismo 1 for the first time many years ago.so if you have a ps3 you should have gt5.it has tons of game options, great selection of cars and nice tracks.also controls great!

Gran Turismo 5 Goes Gold, Being Stamped “As We Speak”
Gran Turismo 5 November 2nd, 2010 by Jordan
While speaking with Jalopnik today at SEMA, Kazunori Yamauchi stopped short of providing a new release date, but was able to confirm the game discs are being stamped (produced) right now:
“The discs are being stamped as we speak.”
This means the gold master copy of the game has been delivered from Polyphony Digital, and should help calm any fears about it slipping into 2011.

by guerillap1mp Incredibly deep, timeless, best game ever
I got GT5 when it came out and i'm still learning new things on it all the time. I recently found out how to tune my old school Chevelle SS 454 '70 muscle car to go 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and it does the 1/4 mile in 10.4 seconds. From NASCAR to go karts and everything in between. GT5 has it all, Rally, Drag, Drift. Since back when I first bought GT5 I've purchased a lot of great games (MW3,Battlefield BC2, Skyrim, Fight Night Champion), but i still play GT5 more than any of them. It' my pick for game of the year and maybe all time.

I am really frustrated with Polyphony, GT5 is going to be about 2 years late if it does in fact come out in february. I wouldn't be as frustrated if they just said it was going to be out in Feb 2010 to begin with. The game is pretty much the reason I have a PS3. I will have Forza 3 in my hands in 10 days and i am confident that when i go to pick it up it WILL be there, unlike when I went to get GT4 after pre-ordering (and paying fully for) it. I will see if i can pre-order when i go to get fm3 but wont hold me breath for the feb release date. I picked up GT PSP on the 1st when it came out and this seems to just be a re-worked GT4 made with a younger audience in mind but it passes the time when flying so it's not all bad. I have been a big fan of the GT series since the original and inspite of the annoyances will no doubt stay faithful to the franchise but may eventually grow tired of being let down, especially as turn 10 will no doubt lessen the gap between the qulaity of the 2 titles.

I have been waiting on this game since I finished 4. The only other sim out there that could ever hope to compete with this is Forza and it can't compete in the overall reality department. The physics and visuals in this game are simply amazing. All of the cars have a ridiculous amount of detail and the interior view of the premium cars is spectacular. If you are even remotely a fan of racing games this is well worth the purchase. If you're a long time GT fan you know that you can't go wrong with this game. If you're a newcomer to the franchise you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a game with loads of customization don't buy this. Go get Midnight Club or an old Need For Speed. This is a sim racer. The tuning system in this installment is great as well. its an excellent purchase. I pre-ordered the collectors edition and picked it up the morning it came out and have been playing it since then. Definitely worth the 6 year wait. Thank you Polyphony for this wonderful bit of history.

An incredible game! This goes beyond the levels of gaming but becomes a literal simulator itself! The graphics for each car are beautifully pictured, from the slick or classy look on the outside to the great first-person driver's view on the inside. The tracks are incredibly detailed from the talented creators of Gran Turismo itself, every crack in the wall and every tree are placed exactly were it'd be in real life. The sound and performance of the different vehicles are incredible, seeming as if you are actually driving it yourself in real life. You can change the vehicle to make it your own unique racing machine, and take advantage of the track with racing techniques taught to you by your license tests - and to me, this is amazing! The online play is awesome. You can make regulations, change the track, limit the vehicles, and even the damage taken!
This would satisfy any gamer who is really interested in racing gameplay, and will bring a new addiction along with some real racing knowledge!

Look I am could care less about the PS3 vs 360 I have both they both have their good points, I am a big racing game player in the last six years I have waited for GT5 while the Forza franchise has released 3 games I have patiently waited and played Burnout and Forza knowing one day I was going to get a hi def Gran Turismo. I completely understand the graphics in GT5 are better than Forza but the Game play is just a pretty GT4 I am kind of disappointed that I would rather play Forza 3. I Like the design aspect in Forza 3 and there are a ton more American cars which I like so yeah that's a personal preference, I also like the Auction house. So yes GT5 is beautiful but for game play I hate to say it but I'd go with Forza 3 I am literally falling asleep while playing GT5 I am sooooo bummed it was supposed to be the Best Sim ever, I guess it's just not for me. I have owned every Gran Turismo ever sold I guess with the ungodly wait s for GT4 and GT5 I expected more.
