This is actually my first review, never really cared to write one but I felt compelled after playing Goldeneye. For anyone that liked the n64 Goldeneye you'll completely love this one. It's everything you'd expect from it and more. They added more cut scenes, but when it comes straight down to it, it's classic Bond all the way. I bought it earlier and still having things to do just put it up until I had some time. I decided to just check it out and get the feel for it before going to bed and now three hours later here I am writing a review..lol I play with the Sharpshooter&move, but it would probably be just as fun with a simple controller. But, if you have the means to get the Move& Sharpshooter, do it. I personally will never play a shooting game with a controller again after buying a Sharpshooter bundle, having the gun makes it so much more fun. But overall if you like objective based shooting games you should own Goldeneye. It's well worth the 35 bucks, and exactly what you'd expect it to be.

This has to be the best shooter game that I have had to date, the control scheme definitely resembles the COD series but with a James Bond twist to it. The campaign doesn't seem like the movie very much with different scenery and the way the character looks(Should've put the scar on alec's face) but who wants a campaign that is exactly like the movie. The Online is good(Again capturing the feel of COD) but the only thing I don't like is how there isn't game modes like one in the chamber and search and destroy and demolition(Some modes may be like those but there is many modes where not enough people play. Another thing that I am not fond of in online is how you take enemy's down. I have never liked the whole hit them with the butt of your gun thing but that still is just me. I also think that they should add the takedowns from the campaign and put then in online just like Uncharted 3 did sometimes. Overall this is the best James Bond game too date.
Rated 4 out of 10 by ProphisMusic Nothing at all like N64 or the Movie...
I Couldn't wait to bring this home and get to the second level where you can throw a watch bomb and blow up the guy on the toilet. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Not only do you not even have that weapon/option- the levels are NOTHING at all like the maps in the N64 Original. This is honestly like a completely different/new game. I don't even know my way around and the maps have a dark grimy, dirty feel. The only semi close thing is the start of the first level, but quickly that becomes completely unrecognizable. For anyone like me who was expecting a remake of the classic n64 with updated gameplay & graphics - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is just a completely new bond game that should not in any way have the name "Goldeneye". Very Very Very Disappointing. NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THE ORIGINAL. go buy an n64 and goldeneye for cheaper than this junk. this game was clearly taken in the wrong direction. So Sad.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Adel1 Great Game
First off this game is great. The graphics on mw3 are a little better than these ones, which isnt bad since its just hd textures on a wii game. Some maps look really great with details. Sounds are decent, songs are nice, especially on the night club mission. The campaign is the funnest i've played so far, the story is good like the movie's with a few differences. Its great how you can choose to all out fire fight or screw on your silencer to your pistol and than sneak around taking out cameras, turrets, lasers, groups of guys, and fun take downs like in battlefield but better. The multiplayer is great in split screen and private match, but online is laggy with more than 5 people and people only play about 4 game modes, or the servers just wont connect you. Oh and the MI6 ops are really fun too. So all in all great campaign, fun ops, great split screen, and decent multiplayer until it gets fixed.
Rated 9 out of 10 by TheShadowfox "For England, James"
In 1997, "007 Goldeneye" captured the hearts of gamers everywhere, allowing them to become the most iconic secret agent in history. In 2011, fans got to relive the glory, but this time as current 007 Daniel Craig. But lets get to the review, shall we?
First is the story. I "Goldeneye Reloaded", you follow the accounts of the 1995 film. Bond is betrayed by a former ally, has to stop them, and gets the girl(the usual 007 formula). It's set a little after "Quantum of Solace", which explains Craig's portrayal of 007, instead of Pierce Brosnan(the previous 007). Apart from who plays 007, its the same Goldeneye.
The gameplay for Goldeneye is borrowed from Activision's biggest cash cow, "Call of Duty". Offering smooth gun play and stunning textures. The voice acting is amazing. Daniel Craig offers his talents as 007 and Dame Judi Dench reprises her role as M.
I did not spend any time with the multiplayer to offer an insight for this review.
In conclusion, Goldeneye brings us back to the bliss that was the summer of '97. All I could say when completing this game was, "For England James?"
Rated 7 out of 10 by Niggles Good Game, But Don't Expect It To Be Like N64 Ver.
This game has it's ups and downs but overall is a good game. First off the graphics are pretty bad considering that this game was apparently Reloaded for Next-Gen Consoles. They must've seriously half-assed it. This game makes Duke Nukem Forever's graphics look good. The gameplay in SP is alright but nuthin like the N64 Version we all fell in luv with. So as the title states don't expect anything to be like the N64 version and thus you won't get disapointed upon buying it. I wish the gameplay wasn't so closely resembling Call Of Duty but it really does feel like i'm playing a stupid call of duty game rather than a Bond game. Not to say that's surprising as Activsion makes COD games. The MP is actually the best component to the game itself as it holds the most replay value. Whether your playing splitscreen or Online it's very fun. As far as Lasting Appeal goes I would say it has it's share but no more than any other FPS. You will prob find yourself getting bored of it from time to time. Never the less it's a welcomed addition to anyone's collection. Buy this game you will probably not Regret it. I got the Sharpshooter Bundle and have to admit this is one Very fun Move Title.
Rated 5 out of 10 by NHLandBF3ne1 Updated version of the WII game but worse.
I have to say that the gameplay is the same as the WII and so is the network play. It is great 007 game, but the online gameplay is horrible. I am running a airport extreme with 25down and 4up and either keep on being kicked off stating that I don't have a connection (even though I am still connected since it didn't boot me off of PSN) or the thing that crossed the line was that I had to do a hard reset and pull the plug out of my PS3 because it locked up that bad. If you want to play a good game just for the game, and you already didn't play it for the WII, then I would say get it, but other wise, if you're thinking cool multiplayer game, STAY AWAY (or at least they update their servers or create a patch to fix it, and as of right now, the people I still talk to say that there isn't one.)
Rated 0 out of 10 by TOPHINATORMAN Everything or Nothing (pun intended)
I spent countless hours playing Everything or Nothing, Nightfire, Agent Under Fire, Goldeneye, From Russia With Love, Quantam of Solace, and Blood Stone. The James Bond franchise of games has been some of the most enjoyable shooters available on the market. The gameplay is simple: use your gun and stay behind cover. The graphics will look similar (most likely better) than Blood Stone's which if any of you have played, you will know that they are quite impressive but then again Activision produced it (makers of Call of Duty.) The gameplay itself looks similar to that of Call of Duty with the smooth shooting and nonstop action. I am NOT saying that it will be the same as COD but there will be similar aspects.

I like a lot of the other posters am an old goldeneye fan. I can't count the hours I had fun with my friends and my brother with that game when I was a kid. I pretty much want this game but i'm already getting uncharted 3, assassins creed revelations, and FF13-2 before the end of the year, i'm not sure I have any spare cash left to get this game....eh my friend jon was a zombie like player with this game, if he wants to play me bad enough perhaps he will buy the game for me :P Looking forward to this title, my wallet not so much. Seriously though you guys gotta agree, they have to stop bringing so many titles out at the end of the year we as the gamer fan base just can't keep up anymore!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Unchartedlover123 Best James Bond Game Ever!!!!
I am so glad I decided to ask this for christmas. I didn't even have this on my list for a while until I saw some gameplay. I thought this looks like a good game but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I love it Uncharted 3 is my biggest favriote but this is right behind UC3. The graphics are great, the sound is great, the gameplay is great, and you will not get bored of this game its so much fun. I have only played some campagin and the cool fun mi6 ops missions. But it is great so far and I know the online will be great to. Its way better than the 64 version. Buy this its worth it. The only thing I wish they did have is changing it to 3rd person cause it would be great in first or third.
