The challenge good in my opinion even though there is only three levles. But each one takes at least two hours to complete. It is pretty addicting. You get a nice amount of weapons I liked the sniper rifle. There is a driving stage that was fun but after a while it got repeditive. There aren't really any boss battles you get one at the end but he wasen't really difficult. The character in here kinda looks like the one in gears of war.The graphics are good but not great. The controlls are the same good but needs a little work.I have nothing against the sound it is awsome. So overall good game. What got me curious about this game was that you get to change the terrane wich is cool. You get good grenades to like you get to suck enemies up like a tornado. When i first heard of this game in gameinformer i really wanted it but I thought it would be M.Then I saw this game and it wasT.So I got it for cxhristmas.I was not dissapointed. So I hope i helped you thank you for reading my review bye

I originally played the demo and loved it, but when I bought it and played it for an hour it was dreadful. One of the issues is that the CGI cut-scenes look bad, not to mention the overall look is average. But luckily the story is decent and it encourages you to keep playing. But the big thing about this game is the terrain effects where you can raise and lower the ground. At first it's fun but it can really wear on and only really be used to get under pipes or to reach high ledges. It's a good concept but it was not used to it's fullest. Also the game is more frustrating than it is hard mainly because of the mass number of enemies attacking you. The AI is stupid but overall alright. The online is fun and only has death-match and team bases games. Overall fracture is alright but it is nothing really new with a decent story-line and average graphics the replay value for this game is moderately LOW!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Swagz man AWESOME!
This game is sweet! It's like they took Halo, Killzone, Mass Effect and Lost Planet into one groundbreaking game. The story is simple: Global Warming and climate change=Half of America flooded, genetic mutation, and American Civil War 2 which is actually kind of nice. The awesome Eastern Alliance battles the horrific Western Pacifican army over what is left of the desolate America. It is futuristic, so expect lots of hoverships, shield generators, and awesome next-gen. weapons. Such favorites include the Bulldog machine gun, a crator-inducing grenade, and even a cryo-freezing gun. The Entrencher gun is the whole focus of this game as it will allow you to bend your surrounding environments however you want to achieve certain victory! There were only a few problems with this game. First of all, sometimes it is a little too hard at some points. And secondly, due to the lack of players, nobody plays online. So to all of you reading this, please buy this game because it is good and I need someone to play with me online! So overall, despite a few faults, this is a great game and I enjoyed it immensely!
Rated 3 out of 10 by tbclycan The Book Was Better.
You hear quite a bit when people go to movies based off of books they read they say that the book was better. Well this is similar in the fact that the game was horrible, one of the worst I played, but the story was very good, only problem is the fact that it is a game where part of the story is the ability to play through parts, some parts, like going from shooting fish in a barrel first enemies to, within seconds going to a guy on a turret that takes a good few minutes to get him off because of the horrid game-play mechanics and controls. When the turret shoots the ground you raised it goes back down but when you try to raise it again that is when the little annoyance of "lighting never strikes the same place twice" comes in and you cannot keep cover. Then forced to retreat behind a wall while getting a beeping while waiting for your Halo-like-shields to recharge. In fact some sounds (and ideas) seem taken from Halo. One problem is the graphics are not very good, I feel that should not make a game that much but still with all they had they give us graphics that may actually be able to be run on a Nintendo 64 console.
Rated 7 out of 10 by CitadelDown Fracture of what I expected
It seems Fracture just showed up one day and relied on its semi-decent advertising to sell itself. The game does have some great aspects. For starters, the ability to lower or raise the ground has never been seen before, but just because of this one aspect should not make you run out and buy this game. The suit your hero wears looks like it was morphed from gears of war and halo and the story line ripped right off of Too Human. I played the game for about 2 hours last night and realized i was just running around lowering and raising the terrain not to mention that the random weapon cargos which seem to let you know when a mass attack is about to happen ruins the chance of ever being surprised. I cant give a full bad judgment on the game since i have only played it for a couple hours but so far not very impressed and not one I would buy.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Julio T pretty solid game
Game of the year? Absolutely not, but fun nonetheless. I have been playing fracture for a few days now on the hardcore level, and i can honestly say that this game is pretty challenging. You have to know how to use your weapon to raise or lower the terrain and the choice of weapons is pretty nice, ranging from your standard automatic, to a sniper rifle, to a rocket launcher type gun. The enemy AI is also pretty good as they come, shoot at you, then move to another location. The graphics and sound are absolutely amazing. The gameplay is much better than halo 3, and significantly better than mercs 2. The story line could use some improvement as the only thing your told is that you are fighting a civil war. I'm also currently playing bros in arms hell's highway and with that game even if you are getting bored with the gameplay there is always cinematic scenes that contribute to the storyline and keep you involved in the game. All in all fracture is a pretty solid game to play; you can either go out and buy it now, wait until you find a used copy, or rent it if that's what you want. Either way you can't go wrong. I'm sorry i can't give it the ringing endorsement of COD 4 or gears of war.

This game is pretty good all around. The graphics are good and you can see almost every single little detail. You have a wide variety of coll weapons to choose from. There isnt any bosses, only a couple. The sound is good especially when you shoot your weapon. But I didnt like the controls that much. It it different from other games. The story line is not that great, it is the same thing every level until the very end where you face the boss. If you like shooting games that are a little fake you would LOVE this game. It is not that expensive and easy to beat. So for people that arent that good with video games, this is a really nice game, not to be mean. Like me I cant seem to beat a lot of games. I really likes the interface of the game too. This is a really good game in general!
Rated 1 out of 10 by EvilLemon0 do not buy!!!!!!
im gonna get straight to the point. i bought thhis games tusday and decided i hated it the minute i played it. the graphics are suckish to mediocre. the cutscenes are the only time you see good graphics. the gunplay is horrible and the controls make it worse. when you shoot the ground with the earth rising shot, it does no damage to the enemy above ( one example of the horrible gun fights). the storyline is extrmely stupid and the names of the characters/places are worse. a civil war between the east of the u.s. and the west? really? and the lead characters name is jet brody?! come on! (he was named the worst named character). obviously, i do not recommend this game. its graphics are bad, its story sucks and its an embaresment to the genre of shooter games.
Rated 1 out of 10 by wyrush94 Terrible game
This game is completely horrible do not buy it save yourself the money for a better game. The story line is terrible why would the USA be at another civil war over cyborgs come on. The names are are also horrible the main character is named Jet couldn't they have been more original. The game play it self is disgusting. You get guns and grenades that make the land rise or lower. They are extremely hard to aim and its hard to target the enemy. The game has no prolonged use. This is the first game in over ten years of gaming that I have stooped playing because it was so horrible. Do not buy this game spend your money one a better game.
Rated 2 out of 10 by justingatesINC extremely suckish
ok, when i first played this game i was like cool you shape the universe and stuff, but then you find out that the dudes name is jet brody, thats not a good name at all. Then I was like cool multiplayer this game might actually have hope but nobody and i mean nobody plays online, zero people. the campaign is easy until all of a sudden it gets confusing, then i knew this game truly sucked and the only thing that is good about this game is graphics. If i were you I would not get this game
