Great for fans, but the scare needs to step up
This game was absolutely amazing. They really do make the action parts more fun than the modern warfare games, maybe not black ops though. But this game is nice for fans of the series or people looking for great co op or solo action. I will say the scare needs to step up. FEAR 1 gave me nightmares. It really is one of he only things that scare me and I don't get scared of really anything. Surprising jump moments, followed by short action scenes. It was great. Really did me good. FEAR 2 was awesome too. Only two years afterwords and the graphics improved. Introduced new scary things. 15 year old Alma, crawly monster things, ghosts, and some other thing. More in depth on the story, but that was the problem. That made FEAR 2 lack. Same with 3 but even worse. I want my extremely long scary moments back. The first FEAR created such an iconic creepy. Character for me and others. I was frightened of Alma. There was one scene I actually got scared from in 3 and that was on the ladder in the grocery store. Other than that nothing. I love this franchise and I want the super scary moments back where I'd have to pause and run downstairs. I really do suggest this game for fans only. It really is a good game but lacks in fright. I know they can bring it back and still keep a deep story line. So yeah, fans only. If you're interested buy the first two and play those.

An Uneasy Flow for Gamers
F.E.A.R. 3 is not really that scary. Some people even say that F.E.A.R. 1 and 2 were even more scary than this game. As my topic says above, 'An Uneasy Flow for Gamers' what I'm trying to say is that it's too jumpy. The storyline has no cache to it, sure it's about two brothers who were humiliated for many years by a man who wanted them to be his "legacy", but it their seems to be no cache. What was their personal story? How did they end up in the hands of a psychisist? And how are they genetically built to alter the world and people around them? This game also jumps from one scene to another in a strange order, from villages to stores to airports, that all leads back to the start of their life, an old mansion estate where underground lies who knows what. However this game isn't all that bad. The graphics were good, although it's too cheesy, the sound is good, and I like the power to possess people, levitate, stun people, and slow time. So I'd reccommend this game to those who like scary games.

Great Multiplayer
I'm not much of the ultimate gamer that has to buy every new $60 game or has to be a huge fan of the F.E.A.R series to enjoy this game. It's my first F.E.A.R game and i like it a lot. Its really fun playing co op with your buddies and the multiplayer is amazing and super fun. I can play the multiplayer for hours. I prefer contractions, which is like zombies in CoD only better!

F3 proves a disappointment
I was fairly disappointed with F3. The previous installment, Fear 2, was a solid game. I expected this next installment to have some new juice to it. The storyline and dialogue is very dull. I don't believe the scary girl, Alma, is incorporated into F3 as well as the past two Fear titles. If you can find this game at a bargain price, I suppose it is worth checking out.

Disappointed!
Like many, I had high hopes for this game. With as long as they delayed the release date, it should have been one of the best to come out this year. Unfortunately, it fell flat, very quickly. The mechanics were confusing as heck, it was not very scary, and many battles (especially the boss battles) were close to impossible to beat. Perhaps it was easier on co-op mode, but the first 2 f.e.a.r.'s were all about the feeling of isolation and not knowing what was around the next corner. Should have stayed single-player, and kept with same mechanics of its predecessors. Epic Fail.

Entertaining
This games has a good story and I did enjoy the game, but then I saw a really frustrating glitch for the "Man Mode" trophy. I passed the whole game on insane difficulty and the game did not give me the trophy and it makes me angry for wasting my time on it! .

Was a fan of the series...until now.
This game has major flaws that I wanted to overlook but the magnitude of them made that impossible. First of all the fps will slow to an obviously slow level visually. I am fine with using bullet time and slowing the game on purpose but in this day fps should not be an issue when playing any shooter at regular speed. Game play is repetitive with the same enemies and the same guns over and over and over. Bosses are either far too easy and predictable or almost invincible with massive damage resistance. Each level feels just like the last but they just changed the textures to look different. The scary aspects that made the old F.E.A.R. games great is now gone. Wow you made a monster pop out of a spot that it was obviously going to pop out of....so sad. Controls are ok but other shooters controls are much better and more intuitive feeling. Feels like a cheap F.E.A.R. 2.5 rather that F.E.A.R. 3. This game is so this pathetic the only 3 this game gets a 3 out of 10.

This is my favorite game of all-time, all though it was short and easier than others a little it was still awesome. Recommended it to any friend.

Good Rental
This game was good but wasn't good as fear 2. The good was the split screen co-op and the online. The negative was the scary elemeants were lacking in this game big time and the end boss was extremley easy, didn't die once. Good rental but not purchase.

Booooo
It was great for the first hour or so; from then on it was a downhill spiral of the same old way of killing the same things in the same process, only in different places. If you could have done a little more with the skills each character had then it wouldn't have been nearly as much of a let down. The combination of a 4 hour game and very few abilities kind of killed it for me
