I bought this game from Blockbuster for $10 and sold it to GameStop in the same day. I only made it to Chapter 4 before ridding my collection of this catastrophe. The gameplay is mediocre shooter full of dumb AI soldiers that will let you shoot them to near death before reacting. There are some pyschedelic horror scenes but have no effect on your character whatsoever. The graphics range from mediocre to "I can't believe they are that bad!" The environment from which you can travel through is detailed and is what you would expect from a 2006 title. The outside backgrounds though are incredibly bad and literally are just blocks. A city background consists of black blocks for buildings, grey lines for streets, and black blocks moving all at the same speed representing cars. The sounds are okay but nothing to praise. FEAR 2 is hit-or-miss with gamers. You may either hate it or love it. Personally, this game was so bad that I will not even attempt to play any other FEAR title. If your new to the series, either play FEAR 1 first or wait for FEAR 3 and hope its not as bad as this title. So either rent this, or ignore it.

f.e.a.r 2 i thought was a great sequel. of course they are going to make it into a trilogy do to that awesome cliffhanger ending (pick up the game and you will know what im talking about in about 6-8 hours). It shouldn't take a good gamer to get through this game that long. it took me 6 cause i played it first off on hard. i liked it cause its creepy and at moments i got jumpy. if you like the condemned series you will like this game. The sounds are amazing on this game the guns sound amazing. everything is cool about this game other than that it's short. the multiplayer i didn't like cause you would have to go back to the main game menu after every ranked match it was just a pain in the ---. go out and buy this game just for the great story you wont regret it i mean just play the demo you will know what I'm talking about then.

First of all... the storyline was not scary... second of all NOONE plays online... 3RD the game is way too easy to beat in about 5 hours you will be done and asking what happened to that hard earned cash wasted.. i think there were about 25 people online LMAO and not to mention the story was BORING! and it felt like a chore to beat the game no fun no laughs just plain old boringness.......... i suggest anyone thinking about buying this game from staying away from it because it reaks of lBl_lSl and if you have money to spend and want a cheap game then look somewhere else because this game sucks hard... im glad i didnt buy it and i borrowed it from a "friend" haha he got ripped off... im just going to go back to playing modern warfare 2 or uncharted 2... or maybe even killzone 2 its all good...

I got this game and first off I was surprised that you can't change the controller configuration and the configuration they expect you to play with sucks. A few chapters into the game I am wondering what the story is really trying to convey its just basically go here then go there then go here and do this and that then go there. The graphics are very poor it felt like I was playing some 90's shooter on a SNES. Remember tomb-raiders character and details? This games buildings you go in and areas are very plain and dull it felt like a graphical disaster. If i wanted to play pittfall on atari I would have been happy with this game but that is the past and the ps3 can handle extreme graphics and I felt the game studio just didn't bother to really tap into the resources available. Maybe its just me and i played this after Uncharted 2 with breathtaking graphics and was expecting more then I received I dunno but non the less even if the graphics didn't suck the controller configuration would drive you insane by the time your finished with the game. The multiplayer was not any good either.. this is just a all around horrible game and not scary at all. If you want a scary game play DeadSpace.

This game is nasty! Time to grow a pair and take on Alma! I found this game just as creepy as the last, and also found that it had a better story than the last. The levels were designed better, and especially the sound. It really kicks in when the F.E.A.R. factor is needed. I thought that you spend a little too much time in the beginning in the hospital, but other than that it, is, ridiculous! Online is great, especially when you use the power armor. By far the nastiest part of the game is going into slow-mo and totally annihilating your foes with a shotgun. Good game, great shooter, and the scariness just adds to the overall great quality. If your looking for a great shooter and a game that will keep you playing, pick this one up. Watch out for that creepy little bitch though, she is nuts.

Just got this game today, and all I can say is 10,10,10! I like this game a lot, its got that cod,,rainbow six, and condemned style all put in a nice single game. One thing I don’t like about is that this game scares the heck out of me, I’m in a dark tunnel just walking around and you have these scary looking creatures that comes out of nowhere sort of like a horror movie and I don’t recommend anyone playing this game alone in the dark. If you like first-person shooting games, I highly recommend this game, if you like first-person shooting games but not into scary games, I would still highly recommend you go get this. I have been anticapated ever since I heard about this game and it feels good to actully have and keep a good fun game like fear2. Fear1 gets a 7.5, I give fear2 a solid 9
Rated 10 out of 10 by JJ911 Great game keeps you shooting
Fear2 is a Great game keeps you busy shooting and ducking for cover and moving. Save points are placed just right. Health up’s are placed at locations when you will need them. Story is good keeps you involved. I am playing the PS3 release and graphics are great on Sony 40” LCD flat screen. All the guns, grenades and player movements and controls are very reactive to the user input. I only played a short time on-line and the maps are really good. Not too big to make you run all over. So it keeps the action fast. Re-spawn is very fast so it puts you right back in the action. I would recommend this for anyone who likes first person shooters. High replay value and online should be great as more players join. In game co-op would have been a nice touch but the game stands on its own as it is.

Picked up this game and all I can say is WOW! Fear 2 is scary, but hidden within the "FEAR" is a great fps. Fear 2 is a great follow up to the first that I think surpasses the original in every way. The graphics are amazing and the scenery is amazingly detailed. Playing this game at 2am in the dark is not recommended because its scary how monsters pop out at you around every corner. The game draws you in from the very beginning and makes you want to keep playing. The sounds and characters for this game are done well. The AI was done very well, the enemies use cover during almost every fight making it real challenging to engage them sometimes. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is an fps fan or a fan of the condemned series or just looking for something exciting to play.

when i first got Fear 2, i ran home and started to play it. I was amazed with the graphics, and i loved ther gameplay. The storyline is good, but the best part is the creepyness of the game. It is dark, and in the game their are some pretty scary creatures, like these things that crawl around. You can easily get used to the controls. The storyline is you are a sergent, and it is aired just minutis before the explosian in the first fear. I would recemound playing the first game first. Of course, Alma is in it. For some reason, she still creeps me out. I would say to deffinatly buy this game. If you are a fan of shooters/horror, than you will adore this game. There is a ton of blood and gore in the game. One of the most that i have seen in any game. What more can you ask for.

I downloaded the demo off of the PSN, now I realize that there are going to be a few improvements and what not but I am disappointed to say the least. It feels like I am playing the same game again...but with Max Payne type slow-mo that has been way overused already. The graphics are ok, but I have to say that "The Darkness" looks better in comparison and that game came out shortly after launch. This genre is cliche almost to the point of WWII shooters, the mysterious little evil girl who brings death..etc..a la The Ring....lets find something new and not something to try and improve and squeeze every penny out of. I was disappointed in the boring gameplay, the generic enviornments, as well as the weapons that sound as realistic as a super soaker......next please!
