Not the game that's described by CI Games
The description for this game features hi-lights such as "Stunning visuals", "Open-ended levels", and "breaks away from the standard model of highly linear FPS experiences". The game was announced in November of 2011, which makes sense as to why the graphics don't fit with the 2014 games. Leaves look like green paper, grass is flat, frame rate issues every 5 seconds. I started playing on medium difficulty and have died numerous times, not because the game is hard, but because the frame rate lags so much and the aiming controls are so bad that I get killed before I even get a chance to shoot a single bullet at the enemy. Open-ended levels? They've terribly mistaken what this phrase means. In the game, you get to choose certain things like "Do you wanna sneak in or blow everything up?" While that does give a bit of freedom to have players create their own experience, its not a fully 'open-ended' experience, like the description says. And the game being non-linear? It's just as linear as every Call of Duty game ever made and ever will be made. Go here, shoot this guy, pick this up, blow that up, go there, repeat. Every level, every time. it's not different. Story is ok, voice acting is kinda under-par, controls are horrible, frame rate issues are a major headache and frustration-causing problem. The ONLY thing i really liked about this game is the background noise. Gunfights in the distance as well as a few explosions, nature, and similar stuff really creates a great atmosphere for the game, but if you want great atmosphere, go to a restaurant, not a video game. As for the multiplayer, it's highly unpolluted, servers are bad at connecting players, and there's so much lag it makes Battlefield 4 look like a perfect game.
Had really high hopes for this game being I'm sick and tired of what COD is putting out. First off the trailer leads you on, the game doesn't play as well as shown. Like other people said the frame rate is horrible very choppy. The graphics are mid grade at best. The brush and trees look cheap, the characters should be far more advanced than what they are graphic wise for 2014. The controls suck trying to navigate from weapons and to other items, coming from COD or BF your going to mess up. Playing on easy is still a pain trying to shoot your enemy "frame rate". Online play forget it, I spent 15 minutes trying to get in a room and still didn't happen. Best parts of the game, well if your into the WW2 era the visuals are pretty good, landscape minus walking into the brush look good, the shots on your enemies are good when hit. Weapons are from the 1940 era which is cool. Overall really sad this game isn't better looked good in the videos better try next time.
great historic gameplay
Thought the game was about 80-85% accurate overall, especially regarding resistance missions during WWII. Graphics are dated, but no more than many other shooter games.
Unique ww2 game
I disagree with the first review. Granted the graphics weren't what I expected for a 2014 game (especially since the company bragged about the power of cryengine) but the gameplay and story were the strong points. Graphics don't make a game (in my opinion) and the multiplayer stinks. In my opinion buy the game in a couple of weeks when you can buy it used.
Don't waste your money, this game sucks!
I bought this game because I enjoy sniper games like Ghost Warrior and Sniper III thinking this might be like them, but this game doesn't come close to the quality of them.
Simply put and bluntly, this game totally sucks!
This game is complete garbage. Don't waist your money frame rate sucks graphics suck, the game just sucks!
The Games Graphics Are Okay. I thought the graphics would be better because it said the "Cryengine" But Nope. The Game reminds me Of wolfenstein For the Ps3. I Wouldn't really buy it New. its not worth the money. Gameplay Is okay. I thought it would be Like ope world but its not.
