Rated 9 out of 10 by 78RoseTA Finally back to a good DW.
I was addicted to DW3 when I was in High School and played it religiously with my friends. After each consecutive one was released, I was disappointed in the gameplay and just gave up. I saw DW7 on the Gamestop shelf and decided to give it a shot. Man am I glad I did. The differences and the upgrades to the game are welcomed changes. Each general has 2 weapons that can be equipped (from a very large array and sub categories), 2 musou attacks, and alternate costumes and so on. There's a lot to take in and to enjoy. My absolute favorite additive being the Conquest Mode. It's a nice little mix of light strategy with the Three Kingdoms storyline. It gives opportunities to play all of the characters in their own Legendary battles as well as Historical battles, battles to unlock items and weapons and alliances and such. It's a great buy for the price and offers hours upon hours of hack and slash fun. Now if they would just release a new Dynasty Tactics...

the whole dynasty warriors series was amazing besides strike force and empire. even though this one looks like strike force its not they will not end the game series. that is because if they make another horrible game like strike force the dynasty warriors series that we all know and love will be gone. and another thing they should add is multiplayer one on one so that will be another thing that will keep new and old players still playing and for the die hard fans will have even more fun. i am one of the most die hard fans of dynasty warriors it was the first game i had for the ps2(wich was dynasty warriors 3) since i was a kid i have collected the dynasty warriors even though i didint have all the systems for it i still need it so now that you read all this and you know i am a trustworthy guy about dynasty warriors you should get it.Also get dynasty warriors 6 i will post a link.ok by

Although I liked DW6, DW7 IS WAY BETTER your character has a secondary weapon, he can get up to 3 musos gauges and 2 different kinds of musos and finally you kingdom doesn't always win they actually have people dying know and not the kingdom you chose being the perfect kingdom. I also love the new conquest mode I think it is very cool and a good way to get gold, Upgrades, Skill Points and weapons. also the weapon seals are amazing the Walking Speed Up helps me SO MUCH. if you are a kid gamer, casual gamer, or hardcore gamer this is a must have game. kid gamers can choose beginner mode and not rage as much. casual gamers (like me) can play easy or normal (sometimes beginner or hard if we are feeling lucky or sad or just mad and want to get upgrades for that unit) and hardcore gamers can use Chaos Mode (which my goodness that is hard). overall a game for everyone to play. 11/10
Rated 8 out of 10 by Allthenamesaretaken Not bad, not bad at all.
Dynasty warriors 7 is a really fun game, i bought 6 a while back and was shocked by how horrendous it was, i took it back to gamestop and got my money back.
moving on to DW7 and i must say its VASTLY improved, no longer are you just spamming 1 button the whole game. now you actually have set combos and musou is no longer just 1 attack spammed over and over and over untill the bar is empty now its an actual powerful attack. im probably near the end of the shu campaign and so far iv had some minor sense of repetition thanks to how some of the missions make you run back across the WHOLE EMPTY MAP to save ur main base then you have to run ALL THE WAY BACK AGAIN not to mention horses are ungodly slow. also the story (what little story is there mind you) is really engaging.
conquest mode iv only played for about 5 minutes..i didn't like it at all its so pointless.
if you liked DW6 (how?) then you will love this, if ur a long time DW fan you probably already have it =P
i am awaiting DW7: empires as i liked DW6: empires and that was horrendous...but im a sucker for the strategy elements. make it happen koei X3

Ladies and Gents, i have purchased DW7 on 27 Mar 11 from the bazaar they have at the location I'm at. I went and played it and must say I'm enjoying it so far. The story mode is awesome sucks you don't get to pick what character you use, but your able to see the battle and story from the views of other officers in the game. I started out using WU (b/c i wanted to use the martial arts bodyguard chick Lian Shi) and the first battle was YTR as Sun Jian blasted through that level. the next stage i was Sun Ce and fighting on the side of Dong Zhuo. Well when that happened i went ahead and excited and tried the Jin Empire with Sima Yi. The 2 weapon switch is awesome you can def juggle combos swapping back and forth. Also each officer has a capability rating with weapons ranging from 1-3 stars, Sima Yi had 3 stars with both twin swords and a 1H sword so i had him using both and i jut manhandled the level. You can upgrade weapons and pick and choose any weapon you want your officer to use, however when they do musou attack they will use there primary weapon. So much to do in the game I'm def looking forward to unlocking more content and building up my fav characters.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Common12 Same Dynasty Warriors with Great Improvements
First off I have been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series since it came out in the original Playstation. It's still a hack and slash type game, but with lots of improvements. The new combo system is great especially the feature of being able to switch between 2 weapons and adding that to your chain. There are characters gallore (the Namaan group are selectable characters). Graphics are gorgeous. Character graphics not much improvement from DW6. As far as gameplay, there is a story mode and a very in-depth Conquest mode. The on-line play addition during Conquest mode is a bonus! All though not too indepth yet, it's great to be able to play with 2 people everytime. Weapon selection is great. Although your character can yield some weapons better than others, they can use any weapon u desire. I have played for a few hours and there are just so many things you can get (weapons, skill points, and pets). All in all, the game might get a little repetitive if you plan to play through with ALL the characters (and there are lots!!). With the added on-line play, great graphics and control. You might just keep going back and play it through until you get all the trophies ;-)

i was quite happy while playing the game. i was impressed with conquest mode and all the old and new characters. the grafics were pretty good. i found the new storymode intresting, instead of playing individual storys of each character you play the story of the group instead. i also noticed that dynasty warriors 7 has more historical facts and is more like the book "romance of the three kingdoms". the only thing i didnt like is that the writing is small as well as the map, so sometimes it gets difficult to find out where you are! i was also kinda dissapointed with lu bu. yeah he looks awsome but hes not really the same. i was kinda hoping that in conquest mode instead of fighting with online players you could fight against them. any way the game was fun and great. GOOD JOB KOEI
Rated 9 out of 10 by Nickham411 Another good dynasty warrior game.
It's a simple hack & slash game if ur new... Good dynasty warrior game to add in the series but only has Story mode & Conquest mode which is really long though actually .. 1 or 2 months to complete I would say around there. They did take 'Free Mode' out which was cool but oh well. Those 2 are fine enough plus with this one you can go Online! heh With this one you level up your guy like you would in dynasty warrior 3 & 4.. not like 6 with the experience points & how you get to Lvl.50 'n' such. No body guards ( which is fine by me). Um the health bars are a lot smaller & you cannot change it with options but you can easily get used to it... Ha other than that its great. Wide variety of weapons, characters & mounts ( horses, elephants + another ;d)
Really Fun. -Thanks!

This game shine's far beyond any so far there is so much to do and so little time in the day to do it.
The conquest mode is by far the best you have 3 ways to play conquest mode. The first is playing by yourself, the second is having a friend come over as usual to play on the same screen, and lastly you can play with someone online seriously they kept that aspect of the game from strike on this part of the game which is awesome so you don't have to do everything yourself.
The characters so far are awesome, and thankfully they brought back the way you leveled up is by defeating officers and get shields and everything else of the sort.
Anyone who loves, loved, or thinking about getting a hack-n-slash game should get this.
