Rated 7 out of 10 by ehh Could have been better
I'm a big fan of this series and I have been following the series since dynasty warriors 3. I would have to say that this game wasn't as satisfying as the previous. Don't get me wrong, I like the game but I was disappointed because not all the characters has musou mode. Only six characters per faction has a story mode. Also, some of the characters have the same move set unlike the previous game where everybody has their own weapon move sets. Also, what's up with the mising characters like Pang De, Jiang Wei, Meng Huo, Zhu Rong, Xing Cai and Xia Qioa. The game has less characters and the less story modes, such a disappointiment. Other than that, I like the new character designs and the voice acting was much better. The cutscenes are way better than before and the new Renbu system is great. Once maximum, the character is a one man army. Gameplay is much smoother though it kinda og lags from time to time but it's still good. So if you like to the 1 man army vs. 100000 people then this is the game for you.

After all the fuss of fans like me and many others have had with this line of games. It's good to see that the developers are making changes for the better. The game is still got the classic gameplay, but as fare as features go this stands out over the other games in the line up. The last game I played was number 6 I loved the integration of horses, and elephants. I can't wait to see how great it will all look on the PS3! Plus it's still got co-op mode. So thats another major plus! As for the game it's self the first ever video of it has pre next gen animations, but as new videos are released for this game the animations get better and better. The best thing IMHO is that the clokes they ware now wave in the wind, and bend based on how the player moves. Also the model detail as gone through the roof, and the number of AI units in the players point of view and the draw distance have improved a lot. I look forward to this game I hope it gets good reviews!
Rated 3 out of 10 by NA Dynasty Warriors 6
I have been playing the Dyanasty Warriors series ever since the release of Dynasty Warriors 3. I purchased the game yesterday and here is my review. The entire game spans the storylines of different officers in ancient China during the Three Kingdoms period. Initally, you begin with these officers from the following forces; Wei: Xiahou Dun, Dian Wei, Cao Cao, and Sima Yi. Wu: Zhou Yu, Sun Shang Xiang, Lu Xun, and Sun Jian. Shu: Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, and Zhao Yun. Each officer has their own unique moveset and as you defeat other enemy officers in battle you gain Experiance which enables you to unlock more devastating combinations. You are also able to do a powerful attack for a short period of time when you pick up a Tome on the battlefield. All in all, the game is not as excellent as the amount of hype it was recieving. Earlier Dynasty Warriors games were outstanding, your selected officer could execute devastating moves with the combination of the square and triangle button, your officers were more mobile and free and not as stiff. Overall, Dynasty Warriors 6 is mediocre in comparison to the earlier games.

I've been a long-time player of this series. I've been playing since the 2nd one. I'm a huge fan of the open world. Honestly, I must say this is the best in the series. The characters underwent some much-needed change (which I wasn't too fond of, at first). Despite my first impression, I was wrong. As you play each character, you see that the changes made weren't so bad. The designs in this game were simply beautiful. I loved the stages and I loved the addition of surprising enemies. I feel as though this game may not be the best out there, but it's worth buying. This is the type of game that you never finish. There's always something to be done. Fans of this game should check out DW6: Empires. It is an amazing counterpart that adds to the already beautiful DW6. I would compare this game to DW5 more so than to the others.
Rated 10 out of 10 by dynasty guy great dynamics
This game has the best dynamics in the whole gaming universe. The awesome storyline makes the game very vivid. The graphics are amazing and very realistic for a 15th century game they got accurate. This is probably the most vividly dynamic game ever. I've beaten it seventeen times and heard every character catch phrase at least a billion times. The sound is great. Very clear. The storyline is great. This game is pretty much my life. If these games never came out I would never know what it was like to be a 15th century warrior. This is a great game and the most dynamic and vivid yet. If you want to get one of these games get this one or the fourth one. They are probably the greatest games ever. The controls even rock. Some people say they don't, but trust me they rock. So on my review I give it a perfect ten.

Rated 8 out of 10 by action fan Why the bad hype?
With all the games nowadays always changing and never even remotely alike, sometimes it is good to have a relatively same game. That way you know what you are doing. This is one of those cases. Everyone says that the same thing over and over again is a bad thing, but I have to disagree. Usually, gaming series get better until about the third, and then they get worse. Then everyone gets mad, but I'd rather have the same thing then have it get worse. It's a good series, and if you don't like it, get over it. If you get past the fact that it's the same thing, you'll realize that it's a great game. Sometimes simple things are better than complex things. Really, just get over the fact that it's the same thing and realize that it's a very good game.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Richter101 The Problems and yet still a good DW game
I got this game a while ago and it i very long and much harder than the past DW games. I have been playing these games since DW4 and have liked the series ever since. IF you have played any of the past games than you basically already know the story to it. If you happen to have a favorite char like I do (jiang Wei) then you might be disappointed since many of the past characters don't even make an appearance. I have always enjoyed the fact that you could play co-op on this series and I mean offline not online "thank god" but it was annoying that there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen which they should not be there since the screens are small enough and other games like RE5 don't have them when they did offline Co-op. I wish that they would release trophies for this game but I even though I doubt they ever will, you never know. The last problem with this game is the fact that you can't be someone such as Cao Pi and go through the story (unless you are the second player and you have someone else there to be the Storyline character). Oh and on a minor note you would think with the PS3's power the big groups of people would not slow the gameplay down (if you have played any of the other games then you know what I mean). All of these problems and I still found this game interesting enough to go through every characters story with.
Rated 9 out of 10 by a gamer Holy China Batman
If you havent been able to tell already this game takes place in China, back in the day china too. The landscape is nice and the scenery is a step up from old dynasty warrior games but still not that amazing. The characters are better looking in game but the cut scene animations arent that great but eh who watches those anyways. They added some new features (swimming, climbing, jumping, destroying) that definitely make the game more fun and even more challenging at times (like when you jump off a bridge and cant find your way out of the water... man i hate that). Overall I would have to say get this game. unlocking the characters is fun and trust me its not as easy as it sounds when you look it up, its like as hard as saying some of their names properly upon first look, definitely a challenge. There are multiple modes you can beat it in so far i only have 4 but i hear there is a 5 mode call chaos, master is hard enough i cant even imagine chaos. basically i think it comes down to if you enjoyed the other ones then youll enjoy this one i just hope they didnt take your favorite character out because they did cut a few of them, which if you ask me is unfair because those guys worked so hard to get people to use them and BAM they get cut and replaced by newer more hip guys who little girls think are cute (at least they didnt cut ma chao mwhahahahaha)
Rated 9 out of 10 by Bramsey Great Game Has Ups And Downs But Overall,AWESOME!!
Hi I have been playing this game series for a while and it is amazing. The main goal of dynasty warriors 6 is playing as each kingdom, picking one of the selectable 4-5 main characters of each kingdom and playing as them beating all the kingdoms. Along the way you will unlock different characters. You will also be able to play Free Mode with a friend and play ANY battle as long as you beat the game and choose any side and any character, you will also be able to pick difficulties from Beginner, Easy, Normal, Hard And Chaos their may be one more I am not sure. In a nut shell a GREAT game.
