Product Details:

Dynasty Warriors 6 features completely re-imagined character designs and weapons, yet the designs maintain familiar characterizations that are accurate to culturally significant depictions.

  • Ultimate Action- Dynasty Warriors 6 will deliver the massive scale and realistic atmosphere that players have come to expect from the series, but will redefine the Dynasty Warriors' Tactical Action experience. With a new fighting system and entirely new actions and motions, players can string together fighting moves and experience gameplay that closely resembles the action of a kung-fu movie. These changes The new combo system, tentatively called the "Renbu" system, requires specific button presses to unleash a variety of dazzling moves that will mimic the fighting movements seen in a Chinese martial arts movies. The system, uses a Combo Gauge, which as it fills up, increases the Combo Level, which in turn allows the character to unleash even more powerful attacks and moves. The objective of this "Renbu" system is to add more visual stimulation while providing a sense of control over the action on screen.
  • Ultimate Battlefields- Dynasty Warriors 6 will include realistic battlefields which expand the limits of where you can venture. Whether proceeding down poor unpaved roads, through forests, or simply jumping from a bridge into the water for safety, players can use the features of the land to their advantage during the course of battle. Our goal is to create more realistic and immersive battlefields from both a visual and aural perspective. Famous events of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms such as sieges and large scale ship battles, were previously shown only through event scenes. Now these exciting moments will be portrayed in real-time, with in-game action sequences. Players will not only see these events, but live them, thereby recreating the feeling of actually being on the battlefield in ancient China.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Game Has Ups And Downs But Overall,AWESOME!! Hi I have been playing this game series for a while and it is amazing. The main goal of dynasty warriors 6 is playing as each kingdom, picking one of the selectable 4-5 main characters of each kingdom and playing as them beating all the kingdoms. Along the way you will unlock different characters. You will also be able to play Free Mode with a friend and play ANY battle as long as you beat the game and choose any side and any character, you will also be able to pick difficulties from Beginner, Easy, Normal, Hard And Chaos their may be one more I am not sure. In a nut shell a GREAT game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best one I've been a long-time player of this series. I've been playing since the 2nd one. I'm a huge fan of the open world. Honestly, I must say this is the best in the series. The characters underwent some much-needed change (which I wasn't too fond of, at first). Despite my first impression, I was wrong. As you play each character, you see that the changes made weren't so bad. The designs in this game were simply beautiful. I loved the stages and I loved the addition of surprising enemies. I feel as though this game may not be the best out there, but it's worth buying. This is the type of game that you never finish. There's always something to be done. Fans of this game should check out DW6: Empires. It is an amazing counterpart that adds to the already beautiful DW6. I would compare this game to DW5 more so than to the others.

But i do think it will be cool its not all bad you can know kill horses wiche is awsome and also swim and clime latters but still what thay did with the charicters but thats the only thing bad to me the rest like the areas and swiming and latter climbing and killing horses is awsome but also jumping on the horses is cool so i give this game seven of ten thouthend na just kidding seven of ten my only problem is charricters but the game i think will be awsome. but i also hope that on the emipirers one you can play 2 players seprate kingdoms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Problems and yet still a good DW game I got this game a while ago and it i very long and much harder than the past DW games. I have been playing these games since DW4 and have liked the series ever since. IF you have played any of the past games than you basically already know the story to it. If you happen to have a favorite char like I do (jiang Wei) then you might be disappointed since many of the past characters don't even make an appearance. I have always enjoyed the fact that you could play co-op on this series and I mean offline not online "thank god" but it was annoying that there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen which they should not be there since the screens are small enough and other games like RE5 don't have them when they did offline Co-op. I wish that they would release trophies for this game but I even though I doubt they ever will, you never know. The last problem with this game is the fact that you can't be someone such as Cao Pi and go through the story (unless you are the second player and you have someone else there to be the Storyline character). Oh and on a minor note you would think with the PS3's power the big groups of people would not slow the gameplay down (if you have played any of the other games then you know what I mean). All of these problems and I still found this game interesting enough to go through every characters story with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good This game was pretty good despite the many faults to it. I have followed the Dynasty Warriors series since dynasty warriors 2 and I must say that it is a good game. The graphics are good, the storyline is great, and it is a challenge somewhat. The characters have 6 stages each but, since there are many characters, the game is long lenthed. The swimming and climbing was a very good addition to the already great game. Another thing, I miss the old move sets but the renbu system is ok. But as a Dynasty Warriors fan, I must say the this game was also a dissappointment. I can believe that they cut characters out of the game. Jiang Wei was one of my favorites and he was cut out, and not even mentioned in the game at all. Even stages that were about him were cut out such as Jie Ting. Also, HOW COULD YOU ONLY GIVE 17 CHARACTERS A MUSOU MODE! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, NOT A GOOD IDEA! AND, on top of that, the new weapons and designs made most of the characters WORSE. The biggest dissappointment and in my opinion, worst character is Xiahou Dun, who was once a favorite. Liu Bei looks pretty stupid, like a kid, but still he has a good move set. LU BU IS STILL THE GREATEST! I didnt think it was possible but Zhang He looks gay-ER. Also, they made Lu Xun look gay too. WHY KOEI, what did Lu Xun do to anybody. Also, Sima Yi is not so good in this game, he WAS one of the best. In Dynasty Warriors 5, my top 3 were Zuo Ci(Cut from DW6), Lu Bu, and Sima Yi. Now my top three are Lu Bu, Liu Bei, and Zhao Yun. This game has its downsides but I still love it. Overall if you are new to the DW series, I'd give it a 9. But if you were already a DW fan, I'd give it a 7. STILL DW fans will definitely still love this game regardless.
