Product Details:

Dragon's Dogma is an exciting new franchise which redefines the action genre from the team that produced some of Capcom's greatest action games. Set in a huge open world, Dragon's Dogma offers an exhilarating and fulfilling action combat game with the freedom to explore and interact in a rich, living and breathing world. Dragon's Dogma introduces an innovative team system to the genre. Known as Pawns, these three AI partners fight independently, demonstrating prowess and ability they have developed based on traits learned over time from the player and their actions. By utilizing Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network players will journey to the Rift where they can share their own Pawns with friends and be rewarded with treasure, knowledge of the world and strategies for taking down enemies. Conversely, players can borrow friends' Pawns with the specific skills or experience required to tackle a particular quest. In addition, Dragon's Dogma will ship with thousands of readymade Pawns for players to select offline. With an epic story and incredible action, Dragon's Dogma is set to be one of Capcom's newest hit franchises.

  • Highly Stylised Action Combat - The creators of this game were responsible for the action hits - Resident Evil® 4 and Devil May Cry® 4.
  • Fight With Ability - The soul of combat comes down to how the game is played, where you strike the enemy, and how you react to their attacks.
  • Pawn Them All - The pawn system offers flexible combat assistance with a main pawn companion that you can train throughout the game and two secondary pawns that can vary wildly to fit your combat style.
  • Help Your Friends, Help Yourself: To enhance your battle experience, share your main pawn with friends and others via Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network. Your pawn's experience as a member of someone else's game will be passed on to you in loot, knowledge of the open world and strategies for taking down enemies. Or, you can choose one of the thousands of AI pawns included with the game.
  • Accessible Depth - Bringing an unprecedented level of depth to the action genre, every decision has an effect on gameplay in an intuitive way that does not require micromanagement. The weight of your weapon, the material of your armor - even the length of your legs - plays a role in how you fight your battles, but does not interrupt the flow of the action.
  • Epic Adventure - Dragon's Dogma is built from the ground up as an action experience for consoles with a continuous, epic storyline that stands alone in style, scope and substance.
  • Open World - Utilizing Capcom's proprietary MT Framework engine and the groundbreaking graphical styles and lighting effects used in Resident Evil® 5 and Lost Planet® 2, Dragon's Dogma expands the environment to create a vast, richly detailed world, ripe for exploration.
  • Night and Day - The open world features a dynamic 24-hour day/night cycle that will offer different enemies and surprises depending on when you venture into the world.
  • A Rich Population - In addition to interacting with hundreds of fully voiced NPCs, you'll be able to fight a large variety of creatures, from goblins to griffins and dragons. Each enemy requires a different strategy and provides a unique experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly Awesome Game. I really only played this game because I like medieval related things. Now don't think I'm a nerd I'm not I just like that stuff. So I start playing and it has this whole pawn system is weird, and they can get pretty annoying. I soon forgot this feeling as I see the graphics on this game. I don't just love Capcom, meaning it's not my favorite game makers. They really made a cool game. This game is really sweet, but as with most games you can't swim (Because it has a brine thing) which is pretty stupid. I like how you can crawl on enemies and stab them, which is an awesome thing to do. All in all I love this game and recommend it to people who like adventuring in caves and plains in games, but to people who play games like red dead redemption they might not like it, MIGHT. Come on, quit sitting and waiting buy Dragon's Dogma or Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from But It's Cruel! Essentially I found myself enveloped in this game like I haven't been for a long time (hence is why I feel so disturbed by its shortcomings), but I found it to feel...incomplete. While it boasts to be a extraordinary adventure, you'll find yourself running a couple of errands in a land rather tedious in scope, characterized by a muted palatte of color, dull scapes and a solid if overdone medieval theme wrapping it up awkwardly. You'll find yourself wondering what incredible monsters wander the shores and the nighttime, the ones the game warns you against constantly. All you'll really find are typical overgrown lizards, wolves, goblins, bandits and harpies, punctuated by ogres and chimeras (whom often grow quickly into fodder), and the occasional pack of woodland creatures. The plotline is anemic as well as the monster roster--rushing everything, leaving you gaping when lo and behold, you've magically reached the end-- but then again, that's the case for most games. That being said...I utterly loved playing this one because it excels in places that other games usually ignore. Secrets/treasure are actually really fun to find. The pawn system is AMAZING. They keep the loneliness at bay and serve as excellent battle companions (though most of what they say is pointless...), and in the process, connect you to other players. Though, having him/her fret constantly over you can be a serious con (or a pro...). At times, the suspense of the game even makes you forget about the flaws of it. All in all, considering that there aren't many open-ended action RPGs out there that are as oddly addicting as this, I'd recommend it to gamers who want a good challenge, loot, a great sense of progression and a world that seems living and breathing. Oh, and PS: It's perhaps too late for this...but I just found out that love interests (male and female) exist in this game. I was thrilled at this interesting revelation because it adds a bit of emotional depth (and I was already crushing on Julien... >.>), but it's a little late since I'm about to fight the dragon. Oh well, it isn't like that's too much of a problem since there's a New Game+! :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strenght in numbers Really good game. Altough it does not hae great graphics I think they are awsome because they are more cartoonish. The gameplay is fantastic though and you get a very good amount of classes that you can use. You also get to create your paws who helps you throughout all your quests. You can also have 2 extra support pawns. The game at first seemed boring to me and too hard. After a while I got used to it and started noticing that my pawns started to learn strategies. This came very helpful defeating certain enemies because they can enchant your weapon so you do more damage and things like that. I would not recomend buying any of the dlc unless you just wan't it as cosmetic gear because they have real terrible stats.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me. Before i got this game i was so excited.... after 1 hour of playing it I got bored why?..... too many quest and some of the quest you get is pretty hard to beat... like theres a sea dwelling lizard that can kill u in 3 hits. a big giant ghost inside a cave that you have to avoid/ kill..... my pawns are just pawns... useless cows... sooooooo yeah ..... I'm not hating on this game its just not for me. ... getting kingdom of amalur :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A touch of MonsterHunter This game would be great for those fans that loved MonsterHunter series on the psp/wii/3ds. It's got pretty awesome graphics although I found myself saving and quiting to get rid of some graphic glitches. Controls are easy to learn. The story takes off pretty quickly but slows down enough for you to explore and do what ever you want from taking on hunts to random pin board quests in the INNS. The crafting system is fairly simple, just open inventory and click combine and if you have anything you can combine with it shows and you can make it. No real guessing. There is a number of different weapons as well to choose from and 3 classes to pick from as well. All in all I give the game a 8/10.
