In Disney's most ambitious video game initiative ever, Disney Infinity introduces an all-new game universe where a spark of imagination unlocks a fantastical world where players have unprecedented freedom and endless opportunity to create stories and play experiences starring the beloved characters from Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios' most popular franchises.

For the first time, players will place real-world interactive figures - characters, power discs and Play Set pieces - on the Disney Infinity Base to activate original, story-driven adventures in the game worlds, also known as Play Sets. In each respective Play Set, players will take on the role of a variety of popular characters and battle enemies, solve challenging puzzles, overcome obstacles and complete a variety of other unique quests.

Play Sets are where your DISNEY INFINITY adventures begin! Each Play Set has its own storyline set in a self-contained world, and stars your favourite Disney/Pixar characters. There's plenty of variety on offer, with each Play Set featuring its own fun and unique gameplay.

Syndrome is out for revenge again in The Incredibles Play Set. Gather intelligence, analyze Syndrome's technology, and learn to use Zero Point Energy in an epic final battle.

Dedicated to saving the world, Mr. Incredible uses his super strength and super combo attacks to vanquish Syndrome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exciting.......yet I always loved the idea of Skylanders, the concept seemed fresh and origingal. However, I could never get into the game. There always seemed to something lacking in the gameplay. Then I saw the announcemet for Disney Infinity. I saw all the videos for Infiinity. I read the articles. Infinity from Disney, yea, that seemed like a fantastic idea. I finally broke down and purchased it for me and my family and we quickly grew in love with it. The character pieces are experly crafted and look they could be just an epic collectible set from Disney that stand on a shelf for people to admire, yet, behold, they are playable figures for a video game. The world sets I've explored so have been really well done and imagined in a creatively great way. The toy box is epic in and of itself. Build your very own world to play in and fill it with pieces you unlock as you go. Build race tracks to race on, cliffs to scale. You can even spawn enemies to battle against. In the worlds you are locked to only characters from that world to play co-op with. The toybox however allows for two player to be any charactger from anyworld. This means they can participate in basic advengtures together as any character. Sulley's paintball can be played as Sulley and Mr Incredible. A cars race can have lighning mcqueen vs jack sparrow. What makes the co-op even more amazing in the toy box is the fact that players aren't forced to stay together in order to play. Each player can roam as far apart in the open toy box as they want only coming together when it's time to engage in an adventure. It's amazing. My only grip with the toybox is the fact that for something that's supposed to have infinite possibilities the limit to the amount of pieces that you're allowed to place in the toybox sure comes quick. Now comes the reason why I didn't give infinity a higher score. Infinity had one major bust in my opinion and that is with the way the characters work. Most games, if you have multiple users on the same console will create and save individual files for each player to grow and level up characters in the game on their own. Stats can be kept for each individual user. Infinity works a little different. Now, I understand that with a game like infinity the developers just want to make money. However, what Disney did was a blatant form of money grubbing that tops even the basic greed inherent in having people buy different characters and different worlds in order to get a full experience. What disney did was make it so that each individual figurine could only have one save file per console....not per user. If you spend a desired amount of time leveling up Jack Sparrow and earning new abilities as well as watching his awesome statue in hall of heroes change with the levels and your daugther decides to log onto her profil and take control of jack sparrow.....well the level up for that character will completely start over, not just for her but for everyone. the next time you use Jack Sparrow you'll have to start your levels from scratch as well as erase the experience level save of the person who played before you. That is a blatan way of Disney getting consumers to buy multiple versions of the same character and I believe it's wholly greedy and not the least bit fair. I could see if you took the character and went from a ps3 console to a 360 console or even a new ps3 console that of course the information would be deleted, but each individual user on the same console should be able to have their own experience save per character just as it would be in any normal game. This missing factor was almost enough to make me want to get rid of the game....the fact that my family loves it and my toybox kept me latched to infinite fun this game has the potential to offer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for the whole family Disney Infinity captures the essence of the Disney world, in that each play set isn't the same play with different characters. EVery play set has unique dynamics to it. Incredibles is more of a heroic, hand to hand battle superhero game, while Monsters University has more scavenger based missions with the elements of stealth, and Pirates brings in sailing and ship battles, along with sword and gun play. Basically you have three games in one to start with and that's not even mentioning the Toy Box. Toy Box is great because if you can imagine it, you can create it. If you can't imagine it though or are having a tough time with the building you can always download pre-built toy boxes to enjoy and explore. The only true downside is that if you want to play multiplayer in the play sets you have to buy extra figures, but the easiest way to solve that problem, especially on a budget is to save up and buy a triple pack (Sidekicks or Villains) and then you're good to go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bought for two players, can't use it We paid $75 for this game. It claims you can play two player and I wanted to play with my son, but when we tried it with the characters it came with it said we had the wrong character. It only lets you use characters of matching stories and conveniently doesn't include two that match one of the stories it comes with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Delight Sure this is designed to be a money making machine. Keep adding sets, figures, disks, etc. BUT what a wonderful experience. I appreciate when someone takes the effort to build a great game for those of us who aren't skilled at hardcore games out there. I don't have kids, but love this game. I am a Disney addict since childhood. The actual game parts are great, but where this really shines is in the Toybox section. Having Captain Jack riding on an Incredibles Hoverboard, while shooting Buzz Lightyear's Blaster at the Queen of Hearts 3 of Spades guard, just so you can clear an area to build Scrooge Mc'Ducks money bin is just plain awesome!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bugs Galore!!! Wait a few months first. Just got the game. Installed everything. Started it up. NO SOUND! Played through the intro stage with no sound. Figured it was just that part. Nope. Loaded a playset and still no sound. Did a quick search online and this was the least of my problems. Various problems over all platforms. PS3 - Sound issues, game crash, and corrupt save data. XBox - Sound issues. Wii - Sound issues and single player toy box only. Not only did the game sound not work, it completely killed the sound for my PS3. Nothing in the PS3 menu makes sounds now. I tried setting up my sound options on the PS3 menu, still nothing. Resetting the PS3, nothing. The game is broken and it broke my PS3. For now I'm not gonna play it until a "fixed" update is available. Do not buy the game until this update is available. Really disappointing.
