EXCITED!!!
I am so excited! I can't wait to jump off the highest building (or cliff) and see what happens when I land... and I don't care if that sounds weird I love doing that in videogames when I can.

Is this really worth the money?
I liked Skylanders because it allowed me, as a video game collector, to start collecting figures. Skylanders felt like an original idea, but this seems like a shameless Skylanders ripoff. On top of that, this game costs a fair bit more than Skylanders. 79.99 for the starter set and 12.99 for a single normal figure. If you want your character fully upgraded, you'll have to invest $4.99 for a pack of 2 of 20 available power discs and cross your fingers.
The figures don't look anything spectacular, and even with the Disney branding and all the semi- to well-known characters that are to be available, and a tireless news capaign, one cannot help but wonder if Disney is making a mistake by charging such an enormously high price for such a normal-looking product. Skylanders are all hand-painted and I am not sure about these.
I think some genius at Disney saw that parents were spending record money on Skylanders, and figured that there must be all these untapped savings out there that parents are just dying to blow on toys. What Disney may have missed, however, is the fact that nobody ever really thought Skylanders were "affordable" or "a bargain" in the first place. They have always been perceived as a little bit overpriced, and for Disney's imitation product to expect to compete, and command a premium price, seems a little bit silly in a market where consumers' finances are already tightly stretched.
Disney has historically been known for lots of "average" to "poor" quality games, so for this title they have chosen to imitate one of the most successful games in history, Minecraft. To be honest I have never played Minecraft, so I can't comment on this choice, but I wonder if it may end up being too complex for the age range that will be into it. Ditto with the flashy packaging, which is probably designed to appeal to an older range of gamers.
Unfortunately, Disney has not provided any exclusive pre-order bonuses for this title, so there is no compelling reason to pre-order this title upfront. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

wow ok
Since the success of skylanders, tons of gaming companies have tried but failed on making a game to compete. But now I see disney has jumped on the bandwagon and will be creating their own "skylanders". Well lets see if it succeeds...
