Game Play
I was pretty disappointed that there are only 5 cases instead of 5+ for $29.99. Since this game only has 5 cases, the game should have cost me 9.99 or less. I'm very disappointed but other than that I think the game is good. A friend watched me play it but isn't ready to go buy the game themselves. The graphics could have been a little better. And the boss could been made to where SHE don't look mean or like the devil.

Good but short
This game would only be recommended by fans but a little warning, it only has 5 cases. It would have been better if it were to have at least 10 to 15 cases. I like the overall of the game. I think it is pretty awesome how you are lead detective.

For fans only.
While CSI can sometimes be entertaining to watch, playing it, especially on a console, is a rather different story. The control scheme is point and click, very basic, with a cursor that changes its appearance with what can be done. With the PS3 version, the left stick controls the cursor and the right controls the camera, which is not completely free moving, having a set path on where it can and cannot move which can be frustrating when looking for evidence. The evidence itself can so blatantly obvious that you can't miss it, or so hard to see that you have to resort to moving the cursor up and down in a grid search over the entire screen in an effort to find something. When you actually do, you have to process the evidence. Some items you can look at in the viewer and find more evidence on it, such as a fingerprint on an item, or you have to go to the lab and look or analyze with the equipment. This is incredibly tedious, having to click and re-click over and over to process the same types of evidence case after case. The graphics could be last gen without any problem. The pre-rendered, background stuff isn't so bad but the characters and items made to be interactive, or mix with the interactive items to hide them, aren't so good. The characters too barely seem to move, just stare off into the distance while you click around collecting the evidence and when they talk, it's as if the voice actors were bored, it being in monotone most of the time. All in all, I wouldn't recommend buying the game without at least trying out the demo or renting it first. After all, once you know where the clues are and who-done-it, what's left to investigate?
