Rated 0 out of 10 by ajax0014 Captain America is beast
Captain America is one of my all time favorite heroes because he primarily fought during WWII, until he joined the Avengers after being thawed out of ice. Well anyway, you have Batman and Spiderman who are real popular and getting games not based on movies, then you have other games based on superheroes based off of movies. But never a game or a movie for Cap. Well now we get both. I am almost positive the movie is gonna be great, but SEGA hasn't been all that outstanding when they make a Marvel game, they do a half-decent job. I really want a good Cap game, so I really hope SEGA makes this one good, and my proof that SEGA is only half-decent is play both the Iron Man games, and Transformers: The Game, might also be by SEGA, and I wasn't too thrilled with that either. Great hopes, great expectations, maybe great outcomes??? We will have to wait, which is really killing me because I can't wait to play as Cap.

This game is worth buying, but has a few faults that can deter people. The graphics are fine, I experienced no pop-in texturing, however the environment looked as though the same template were being used over and over again. The map is somewhat helpful and it can be very easy to get lost and to do a lot of backtracking. In some places I felt like I was pulling up the map several times just to reach the next door. Fighting enemies was simple enough , but became quite repetitive a few hours into the game, however, creative moves like reflecting gun fire, and using enemies as shields never got old. The enemies were always fresh and the puzzles you have to face were varied. That being said I think there is enough to add this to the collection.

Considering Sega's terrible history with Marvel movie based games (Hulk, Iron Man 1 and 2, Thor) I wasn't surprised by the subpar graphics and flimsy storyline. I was surprised that the combat system worked very well, easily stringing attacks blocks and counters together against multiple enemies, much like Batman Arkham Asylum. But the bad graphics and a story that finishes with a boss fight that isn't very satisfying takes alot away from what could've been a great game. This is a good game for any comic book fan, but im sure that the new Batman and Spiderman games coming out in a couple months will definetly be better.

this game is great I, have been wanting for this game like forever! i like the world war II setting, not in the future which is a good thing, theirs been to" many of those all ready and movies were no better but when i saw this game i knew that i had to get it for Capetian America has been one of my favorite, for a long time and now i get to play him and fight his enemies! O one more thing if your not a fan, here's one thing for you you do a lot of fighting in this game and thinking your way though-out the game,. so if you don't know whats going on, then i would say read some of his comic books, other then that, that is all

Gameplay is definitely very similar to the Batman Arkham games. I liked the more straightforward approach of this game. I played thru Arkham Asylum, but wasn't really tempted to make multiple play throughs. I honestly get a little bored with the stealth approach. I'm working on my 3rd time with this game. It's just fun and empowering to work different combinations of attacks on Hydra scum. Good game. If I had to offer any negative comments, it would be that it's a little too short. Would've liked to have seen them add a New Game Plus mode.
Rated 0 out of 10 by Matt731999 Repeat of Batman: Arkham Asylum
If you were to watch the gameplay videos of this game on IGN, you could easily see that this uses the same combat technique as Batman: Arkham Asylum which was one of the BEST SUPERHERO GAMES EVER!... same ground takedowns, you can do a move called a "Quick Shield" just like the "Quick Batarang" in Arkham Asylum... I peronally am a HUGE fan of Captian America... but I just dont think this game would be buy worthy until you've at least tried it.

Although i would love to play a captain america games, im not sure about buying this one. This game is made by sega, who has a terrible track record with super hero games. Iron Man 1 and 2, The Hulk, Thor, all terrible games, all made by sega. As I said in my review of thor, it wasn't worth the money i got for trading it in, and i probably won't buy captain amerca for the same reason.
Rated 7 out of 10 by AC3Assassin Only Good Thing? His Agility
His Agility Is Probably The Best Part For Me, Seeing Him Constantly Doing Back Handsprings And Flips All over The Place Doesn't really get old. But The story Wasn't Very Fun To Me, I Traded This Game Back In To GameStop And Got Five Bucks Back, What A Deal! This Game Was Purchased For $46.00 And Traded Back For A Much Cheaper Price But This game Wasn't That Appealing To Me....

Rated 0 out of 10 by beenzncornbread Finally a good Sega marvel game!
Already played and beat it. Wonderful game. Almost identical to Batman Arkham Asylum (which is a good thing) with TONS of extra stuff to keep leftover to keep you playing. Added costumes, challenges, and hidden objects galore. Huge variety of gameplay as well. Fear not heros, this title is no Thor!
