Not amazing and not awful
So far playing The Cartel. I dont think this game is bad as most people make it out to be, but its definately not perfect either. The main thing I have noticed is that the sound hiccups alot. Theres some jaggys on a few things in the environment. Gameplay can feel clunky sometimes especially if its a fast paced mission or shoot out. So far though the storyline has been pretty interesting and I have actually been really enjoying this game even though it has a few glitches. I have not downloaded any patches for this game yet so they could have fixed some of the issues I have experienced. This game isnt that bad as long as you know it has some issues and you can get it for less than 20 bucks. There are definately way worse games out there.

Underated, but does not have overly high value
Going into this game, I did not have high expectations. Game Informer gave it a 4 out of 10 and the average rating on this site was a 4.3; however, I was pleasantly surprised by certain aspects of the game. It is not the greatest shooter of all time but it is satisfactory. There are a large array of weapons to choose from: assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, and the ability to carry two pistols and they do not have to be the same kind. So the shooting aspect was nice, but the game became very redundant: you drive some, get out, kill people, and then go to the doors and wait on your partners so you can bust through and go into concentration mode which by the way is practically useless. It lasts for about six seconds and you're lucky to get three people. "Bound in Blood" had a better system for that. I'm not going to compare this game to Bound in Blood because I have not played too much of it. But one of the main reasons I did not like this game was for your partners. You have to wait for them before you can move forward and their remarks to you are never changing. They shout unnecessary profanities constantly which makes you want to mute your game. It was ridiculous and quite annoying to hear you and your partners yelling constantly. Overall, the game was better than I expected but it still was not an overly well-made game.

A disappointment to the series
Moving to modern day is a serious step back for the series that made it's name in the west , as the Cartel is an un-enjoyable mess . It's generic at best , broken at worst , and falls short in it's attempts innovative cooperative play

fun games
beside from reading review from other gamer and advices agaist not get this game, i decide to give it a shot since I got a used copy. from the start, there is no introduction like other said but the story is very enjoyable. I actly complete the games and still decide wither to kept it or return for my money back since the game does frezze during gameplay alot.

Ruined western series
I preorded this game and I waited awhile before it came out. I saw some previews on gamestop.com and the game wasn't at all what I expected the game isn't at what it seems. The characters you play as aren't western at all. You start out without any introduction as to what's going on and you get to only use the same couple of guns untill you unlock more. The gameplay is horrible. Don't waste money on a game that's about cops runing down gangmembers and following the other main characters without any free roam.
